Neat & organized. Some nice deals on a clearance rack near the back, which could have been in better shape. The chain is owned by Kroger, so if you shop at Mariano's it will feel familiar in terms of store brands & price tags. I was impressed with the size based on the options in the area. They have an app and some good deals which you access with your phone number.

Went shopping today and needed yellow onions to discover this. These onions belong in a dumpster instead of on display for sale to the public. This is not the first time either. Its such a complete hassle to shop at this location and have to go to another store just for fresh produce.

Okay I decide to help the community shop in a the neighborhood so I go up in the store and Sheila cashier charged me for bags I told her I had my own bag and then I looked at my receipt .28 cent for bags Sheila refund after sale.Then I went to the car Sheila charged me for cucumber $.69 a piece and I had zucchini which was $1.49 Lb which wouldn't have been nothing but .68 Cent and she charged me for some candy that was four for five she charged me $1.99 for it so I took it back in the store and she's giving me an attitude like she got to go on her break but you shouldn't took me you I'm just coming back to get my money she could have referred me to the manager. I'll talk with the manager and he took care of the situation.$2.37 over charged

Very horrible service today. went to your location on 71st and ashland to get groceries you had a sale at the register line i go to get it for 1 min when i come back your cashier is moving my son (2 yr) and daughter (9 yr) from the line to put her friend in i tell her to not touch my kids and she gets an attitude immediately throwing my stuff across the register to the bag up section just disrespect she should not be a cashier if she does not have patience nor the customer service skills as needed to be ima place of service

The customer service is hit and miss. But when it misses it often does so by a long shot. Fortunately it appears that people who aren't suited for customer service don't stay long, and those who are good with customers tend to stick around longer and make the unpleasant ones less memorable.My worst food purchase was a marked-down carton of egg substitute that was green rotten when I opened it at home. The manager wasn't in and the cashier seemed unconcerned about my complaint. I want to emphasize that that experience was an exception though.

The store is well stocked & the prices were right...but paying for your food is a whole different story! The express lanes were closed, so if you had a few items you had to get in line behind 2 or 3 "full to the top" shopping carts. I can't wait 20 mins to pay for 6 items, so I just left!

I'm giving it a five star even though my last visit wasn't so grand. Typically, they are on point and well stocked. This last visit, there was a shortage of carts and it wasn't very busy. Then there were carts that had licked wheels that needed to be unlocked. I saw customers walking around with arms full of item because there were no carts available.

I LOVE shopping at Food 4 Less - USUALLY!! I often find great deals and some quality items. HOWEVER, no matter what location I shop in on the Southside of Chicago is a REAL nightmare!! Pretty much starts with the unruly panhandlers/crooks that you have to encounter in the parking lot or near the front door and the customers inside the store are no joy either!! And, then having to deal with the employees with bad attitudes, who hate their job but need the paycheck and/or who don't give a damn about providing you a great shopping experience. It's just a job for them! The long check out lines often add to this nightmare especially if you shop on a busy day or at the "wrong" time. Plus, I don't appreciate having to unpack, organize or sort products that should ALREADY be on the display/shelf NOT sitting next to the display or a shelf. Finally, if I'm in the store too long and need a restroom, I don't want to have to CLEAN UP the toilet before I sit!! Seat covers would help as well. The store needs/should check the restrooms hourly-especially when the store gets busy. I prefer shopping in my own neighborhood but experiences such as these make me want to go shop in the suburbs!

My experience was OK. I am convinced that it should be so much better. Vendors hang around the parking lot, selling music and movies. Security drives by, ignoring them. The parking lot is very dirty. But inside the store was decent and there were associates who were working to improve conditions. My cashier was very friendly and efficient.

Most of the employee's at this location have poor customer service skills. They expect for you to speak to them first versus them greeting you first. I had a horrible experience here and never even received a call/apology from the store manager even though I called in on them through the corporate number. I would never shop at this grocery store again I'd rather go to Jewel Osco or Mariano's than to spend my CASH HERE EVER AGAIN.

I overall like Kroger, but the ones in the hood have got to do better! 4 lines open out of 14 with each one reaching the back of the store...just sad! I'm in line right now, the 15 or less line with four items meanwhile the cashier, allowed 2 people in his line with at least 30 to 40 items go thru how terrible! Just like the service terrible!!!

They have a nice variety of food. Fruits and vegetables are often fresh. The Prices is fair. Parking can be a little annoying if you don't like to walk far, I guess depending on the time of day. There are more lines open than the Walmart nearby (that's a fact). You have to pay for bags if you're paying cash and bag your own bags. The only issue I have is the shady looking people that hangs around in the parking lot sometimes and inside the store trying to sell food stamps. Overall, it's a okay place.

Large grocery store offering competitive pricing. Most often times crowded and check-out times can be long due to under-staffing. Be careful of beggars asking for change in parking lot. Also, customers have to bag their own groceries which can also increase the length of time it takes to be checked out

Please don’t allow armed security guard to smoke cigarettes at the main entrance. I was there recently last month when the security guard was smoking while working and directing traffic into to store. Umm COVID-19 hello 😷. I ask him how was he just going to smoke by the door that everyone is passing through smoke. He told me cause he was smoking. I went to speak with a manager. Thank you for addressing this issue, and I am so happy that the ATM is back up and working. Keeping our dollars in circulation.

This is the worst grocery store i have ever been too or herd of! If you do not live around there or not use to ghetto trash, i suggest that you stay far away from this area all together. The place is foolishness at it's best! You can't park your car without worrying about it being broken into, you can't get out of your car without someone trying to sell you something or begging for something, and when you leave out with your groceries you're lucky if they make it into your car without getting stolen. The staff are rude and under-trained, the people at the bakery can't get even the simplest order right, the store is rat infested and the merchandise is horrible! I can't believe this place is still standing!

Man I will not be coming back to this place. There are people walking around asking you to pay them cash & they use there link.... I had about 4 different people ask me how I'm going to pay & they Didn't even work there!!& needless to say Security is just staring into the sky not doing nothing. But what was really upsetting was the Extremely LONG LINESS!!I kid you not I was waiting in line for about 30 minutes!

I absolutely hate this place. There meat is always spoiled and also there fruits have mold on there. The cashier's, some are friendly others act as if they don't want to work. I recommend no one to shop here. I always shop at food 4 less but this by far is the worst one I ever went to. I don't see how the managers can run this store like this.
