Let’s talk customer service. When a business has something in the wrong place you should honor the price. Well this manager didn’t want to honor the price. And it would be different if she was nice about it but she wasn’t!

ALWAYS A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE MALE MANAGER IN THE MORNING HERE. His whole disposition is UNPREDICTABLE/UNPROFESSIONAL. His staff he supervise have a better attitude than him each time I come in. I asked him a simple question at the register regarding confirming payment and charge and his response was so UNETHICAL AND RUDE AS IF I ASKED HIM THE WORLD OF QUESTIONS FOR A SIMPLE TRANSACTION. SOMEONE NEEDS TO TRAIN THIS GUY TO HUMBLE HIMSELF . Usually the Manager has the better attitude and knows how to treat customers but he doesn't. THE WORST I'VE SEEN.

They have a lot of products. They're just a little expensive and some of the stuff can be cheap. For example, metal tip rat tail combs that's $1 each. I brought five and they all have broke

The store at 76th and Stony Island is much better than the 1 at 64th and Western, that was the nearest to where I used to live

A lot more merchandise on the shelves. Locks on the detergents and other items. So sad things have to be locked up in order to sell them.

I came in to get laundry detergent, saw advertised that the Arm & Hammer was on sale (the brand I always buy) so I clipped the coupon in the app. I get to the register and the coupon is not applied. I ask the cashier about it, she asked if I put my phone number in, confirmed that I did, she told me to put it in again, nothing, she input my phone number still nothing. She asked another associate for assistance who confirmed in my phone the coupon was clipped, and did apply to the item I had. They called the manager who confirm all the same things, inputted my number again, sees my phone number on the app, then tells me my phone number is not registered. I don’t expect her to be an IT person and know what the issue is with the app, but AS THE MANAGER, you mean to tell me there is nothing you can do? Just forget that I do in fact have all my t’s crossed and all my i’s dotted, I’m not at fought or wrong, and I’m not saying that it’s personally her fault that it’s not working, I’m saying WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE?! And although the cashier was pleasant, she was more concerned with per AirPod cushion being stuck in her ear while the manager complained that she had “too much to do to keep being called to help”. No one cares about customer service anymore huh?

Probably just my 2nd visit ever so far - will likely visit more for mere convenience. Only went for 3/$4 Coca-Cola 2L deal (pretty easy to find). Same as a couple others mentioned, only one register open out of 4. Pretty long line right at the end of rush hour when you want to get home promptly to your Popeyes Chicken meal, etc. That one cashier was indeed quite courteous though - "Welcome in", "(Here's your change), Have a nice day". Not very knowledgeable about store products in particular though. Cashier couldn't confirm the sale price off the top of the head and a customer asked about the availability of a product/when it would be restocked - reply was a shrug and "I don't know." The big parking lot is probably the best attribute about this location. LOL

Today, the cashier was very pleasant and Jovial. I loved it. However, as in past visits, this store's management was deplorable. Arguing with staff and then chatting with the other staff about the argument. Very, very unprofessional. Not what i want to encounter while shopping.

This store truly gave me value for every cent spent. The staffs were also helpful. It was right by the bus stop and was very well stocked from clothing to cooking utensils and food. They also had an amazing collection for frozen pizza. Highly recommended

This store is one of the better Family Dollars in Chicago. The store has reasonable prices, spacious, and they usually have the items one is looking for. The store is close to an hospital, gas station, and some food restaurants. The two main problems of the store is too many panhandlers outsider and rude cashiers. Some workers are nice and others are mean. The store does have bums inside and outside the store. Overall it is one of the better locations in the city.

Very unprofessional and very unkept! There were Long lines for no reason while workers in the aisle on their phones...I went there for fabric softener pods because they were on sale but only to find out that the shelf tag had expired...normally a manager would be able to override the cost but this particular manager said he was just helping out and couldn't do anything about the price...both this location and 71st Jeffrey need to shut down or get a new staff!!!

Very nice store , very spacious and well stocked. Additionally I personally witnessed an employee go out her way to service a customer. I found that very refreshing hard to find that nowadays.

Just everything you need for the house and a very low cost the regular stores have same items for much more.Weekly visits keep households clean, and mouthwash assorted food items too.

Call up there to see if they have an item, instead of them simply saying no they hang up on me. No one never stated their name or say good morning. No customer service at all. So I decide to call back a few times, this unbeatable human being answer the phone and says nothing, Totally unacceptable

Went to Family Dollar on 76th Stony Island, a couple of weeks ago and bought a couple of outfits for my daughter's birthday, but got the wrong size, took them back to exchange for different sizes, the cashier rung the outfits up over again, and said I owe 37 dollars and some change, the manager comes to the register, and does the same thing, rings the items over again, and then he gets mad at me and says in a sharp voice " you owe 37 dollars & ? " I was not going to give them another another 37 dollars, that's paying twice!
