They was friendly and very helpful,as I was getting checked out I went and was walking out the door as the cashier said excuse me sir you forgot your change,that showed high integrity on not only his part but also on the owner of Chicago True Value Hardware now that is why from now on in going to show with them .....Hats off to the whole staff!!! Absolutely love having a neighborhood hardware store, big box stores will never be able to compete with the level of service you receive in independently owned shops. They've helped me with a myriad of projects, not to mention regular day to day home maintenance. They also have a glass/screen repair/replace department. Shop local and support these businesses, they are irreplaceable.

Probably more expensive than your big name stores. This store has a nice almost small town feel. Mario is my go to guy but everyone there is helpful and friendly, with the exception of the cashier. I highly recommend this store.

True Hardware was the best!! I went to almost every hardware store, specialty plumbing stores, and major big box stores, and either I was sold the wrong part or they didn't carry it, I came into Chicago True Value Hardware and the gentleman at desk, knew exactly what I needed he ordered the part, and it works! My bathroom faucet no longer leaks thank you again for being so knowledgeable in solving my leaky faucet!!! Will definitely return!

Stopped in for a couple items that would have taken me an hour or more to locate. I was in and out though because an employee named Allison greeted me and offered me help right away. She found the first item right away and then went above and beyond to find me a match for a random bolt I brought in. She's awesome! I genuinely appreciate her time and effort. Everyone else I came across was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

On GDN they had what I needed I needed two bolts for my capacitor for my subs and my sounds guy was like he had to order them on a Sunday I searched Google for open hardware and these guys were open came in got me together. This is a good spot

Had old style windows that required repair...they had the parts and repaired the clips and broken lane... more reasonable than Ace..and done when promised..half the time of Ace as well

Small, expensive, clean and friendly. You can rent equipment here for yard/construction and parties. Remember this is store is in Chicago so spray pant is unavailable.
