I am new to the area, and was so excited to try this place out when I saw that I lived near by. My pets all have specific dietary needs and every time I’ve gone in to Bentleys with questions the staff was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable and super helpful. I’m used to going to pet stores where the staff cannot answer any of my questions about my pets nutrition, and was blown away by how great the customer service was at Bentleys. I really appreciate how much they have helped me and my babies!! <3

Woman who answered the phone and that was manning the store was polite and very informative. Upfront about their low stock of winter gear. We ended up only purchasing treats but will be back! Store was very quaint and clean. Love that I have a pet store within a 10 min walk.

This is the best pet supply store in the area! Everyone who works in the store is kind and more than willing to help with any questions you might have. They always remember my name and the items I typically buy for my pets. There are always good deals, samples, and fresh baked treats for your pup. You can not go wrong becoming a customer. (The loyalty points that build up are just another added perk.) Thank you all for providing such a fantastic local shop to frequent in the neighborhood. Indy and Calliope appreciate you all, too!!

Maria is great. She knows my dog and is very helpful. I feel very comfortable shopping with her and know she has my dogs best interest at heart. My dog is very picky and she has helped me figure out what foods and treats work best. She also always anticipate my dogs needs and has her products available. She goes above and beyond. I wouldn’t want to shop there if she wasn’t there. She is awesome!

The selection, presentation and layout of products here are great. The employee working was very helpful at selecting a bone for my dog. However, the prices here are significantly higher here than at other pet stores. It was a good experience overall, but I probably won't shop there again due to having a tight budget. The cashier gave me a freebie chewable for my dog, which was really nice, but I cannot give this place higher marks because of the high price markups.

Amazing and helped us with our cats with first hand experience!While I forget the name of the associates (I'm am horrific with names, though she is always at Devon and the manager), she has been a godsend and amazing every time we go. It might be something as simple as letting me know which side of the store is dogs or cats (sometimes Bentley's switches it up from store to store), though as large of an order as empathizing about a cat getting older and needing to find the right care for teeth.She and her team have always gone above and beyond. I say cheers to them! If you need help with quality food with knowledgeable advice from animals lovers, look no further.Edit: Maria! Maria is her name! Her whole team is great as well :)

The only store I'll buy our cats' food from. I tend to stop in here at regular intervals and buy the same items mostly, but their selection of other items is great and well "curated" for quality and healthiness. No other business in this neighborhood has a nicer, kinder staff. It's not an overstatement to say they seem like friends who are glad you're there as soon as you walk in. Very glad this is so close to home. Good hours. Good deals on our cats' food. Lovely staff of sturdy-looking store cats as well.

Wonderful pet food and products for your beloved cats and dogs! I never have to worry about the quality of what I’m getting — they do all that for you! So happy to have them in my neighborhood! The staff really makes you feel welcome and there are quite a few good deals and rewards programs, so keep an eye out for those.

Bentley's is a wonderful pet supplies store with a very neighborhood feel. The staff are very knowledgeable and will do there best to help you with your unique needs. My kitty is an aging gal and she is having trouble with solids. I was directed to some trial goat's milk and the princess loved it. Many thanks to Bentley's for the great advice.

Our go-to store for our dog's food. Very helpful and nice staff. We had to change our dog's diet last year from a food he'd been eating his whole life. After doing a little bit of our own research and talking to the Bentley's staff, we found something to switch to that has been great. Wish we'd have done it sooner! Nice selection of natural and healthy food and treats. Oh and they do cats too... :)

Omg.... The BEST pet food store around!Please keep in mind that I had never been to a Bentley's before. I never knew what to expect, but they blew my mind out of the water with the kind of service they provided. Being new to the store, they introduced us via sample of all the products they provided. Our dog loved all of them.Then, a few weeks later, we bring our big girl to the store. They loved her and she got along with everyone in the store. Customer service and creativity are the best. The store may be small, but don't let it fool you.This is a treasure of the neighborhood.

Can’t say enough good things about this store. We brought our dog here immediately after adopting him from Felines and Canines down the road. The staff were so nice and helped us figure out what we’d need for our new pup. They even gave us a bunch of samples, so we could figure out which food worked best for him. We just wish you had a store in the South Loop where we live!

This store has the best selection of healthy food options for pets. The staff is super friendly at this location, and they foster sweet cats who are looking for a customer to sweep them off their feet and give them a nice home.My dog used to hate trying new food, but every recommendation I've gotten from the staff at Bentley's has her clawing at her food bowl asking for "second breakfast".

Best part is staff who are very helpful in helping me find special foods for my dietary challenged cat. For a smallish store, they have an amazing number of options. And, if my cat wouldn't eat the food, I could bring it back. They have a program for earning money back. Nice coffee shop next door. Usually find parking out front. Cute store kitties up for adoption.

I've been to many "family-owned" pet stores and this by far is the best. No up-selling, no faked expertise and titles, just straightforward advice. Employees will help you find exactly what you are looking for and offer free trial-sized samples to test the products before you buy. My dog has special needs and their knowledge of product origination and manufacturing processes is astounding. They are honest about even the products they sell. This is the first pet store where the advice was so spot-on that I no longer have to home-cook my dog's food. They recommended a couple foods to test and we found one that worked and my dog has been great ever since. After leaving the store, I realized that they have been closed for 30 minutes and not once did they look at their watch, ask me to hurry up, or tell me they were closed. Unbelievable customer service. You will not be disappointed. Their store cats they have running around there are also fun!

Managed to find the best large dog bed for my dog, handmade in the US from recycled water bottles! They gave me a free bag of treats for signing up for their rewards system and they even offered me a locally made donut (part of a small celebration they were having in their store). Sales staff were very kind and helpful.

My cat continues to break one of the toys they sell here. I keep coming back and buying it here instead of finding it somewhere else because they are so friendly! And most of the time there are adoptable animals in the store that are so cute! I will continue to come back every time my cat destroys the toy! Super nice staff, knowledgeable, and free samples to take home for your pet!

My love for this place is only exceeded by my dog's adoration for it. Aside from Rogers Park Social, this is her very favorite place on the planet, and it's easy to see why. A friendly staff member is always there to greet us, offer her a treat or two and tell her how cute she is. There are so many wonderful, natural products to sniff (and take home), and the staff will helpfully explain the different products to you and/or order products not currently in stock. As such, I rarely buy my pet products elsewhere. I'm not sure if they still work there, but Nickel (sp?) and Jake (?) are the best--so friendly and knowledgable. Shane is also super-friendly and helpful.

This is a really beautiful store in a convenient location on the border of Rogers Park and Edgewater. I was able to special order my cats' food to be picked up within a week. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. The best is the fact that they have cats available for adoption. One was roaming about freely enjoying the attention of a certain cat lady and retreated when she was done.

I love this store! The staff always remembers my dog (Hunter) when we come in and he WILL NOT let us walk by without going in. They also are great with helping me remember what brand of cat food I buy, since every time I walk in the door I seem to forget. Super friendly, super knowledgeable. It's my go to.

I used to frequent when this was Bark Bark Club. I occasionally stop in and the staff is friendly. There is a rotating selections of toys for pups and cats.The prices are a little steep on toys. Rogers Bark offers some of the plush toys for five dollars less at the regular price.Always a nice quick trip.I grabbed my pup some sausage links for C'mas, excited for her to try a new snack!

I love this place! Knowledgeable and helpful friendly staff, a little on the pricey side but they carry high quality, natural cat food, litter, treats, and toys for our boys. They're a chain but don't feel like it. Familiar faces who know us by name, with a small-mom-&- pop-shop feel.
