I think when my dog realized that I was the groomer, he totally relaxed! This was our 1st time and it was awesome! The ability to care for my dog myself after being handled by professiinal groomers was a treat for both of us! Everything is right there at your disposal! So convenient! Atmosphere is very friendly, very professional. Thank you for allowing me to be totally hands on! Kudos!

TLDR; my dog is too big for this bathtub. The sale price ($15 normally $30) is why I chose this location. It’s close to me and CJ really needed the bath. No secure enclosures for dogs between grooming. ‘Good faith’ vaccine checks.Small local business. Black owned and operated. Tucked inside of the front facing street. Easy to reach and access. Came in for a self wash. *these are limited serve* only available for scheduling and is restricted on what days times etc.you may have to call multiple times to get through.Purple. Everywhere. 💜 a very clear aesthetic. Right down to iridescent grooming supplies. Nothing shows off the work they do with the animals.Plastic pull bins make up their organizing system. (I’d recommend looking at some styling carts on wheels so they can move them and sweep around it.) the check in desk is a absolute mess good thing the POS system is just a IPad.4 TVs one above each bath. Though cute seem a waste of electricity, since my eyes are on my dog.4 wash tubs just the right height; only 2 set up for function. I felt like a fellow dog washer among the two staff members. Though I can’t help but feel as though the self wash system takes away from their tools to complete the job. — example: I was in the tub another dog couldn’t be started./the hair dryer was taken from a already existing dog mid groom. (They grabbed a different one)To top it off they have to work around the other dogs bothering them since no one is tethered.The tub was pre-sudsy which is to be expected mid day. There isn’t a drain grate. The bottom is lined with rubber. I appreciate being able to get all the way around the tub.I likely won’t be returning. these tubs are to small for my 80lb GSD. It is extremely hard to maneuver. A self wash service is normally about $30 which is to high for me. I caught it on sale for $15. $20 is the highest I’m willing to pay for washing my dog myself.

I’m starting to think these people must think I’m crazy. I drop my dog off at 8am. I come back at noon and I’m told my dogs haven’t been seen yet.They also for the second time did not follow our instructions on how we wanted our puppies haircut. It hurts me that young black entrepreneurs have these types of issues in their establishments. Moving forward we will not be using these people for our dog grooming needs. If we do it’s for a wash only.

We had an amazing experience bathing our baby here at Bark and Bubbles. My 2 year old Presa Corso mix, loved it (much better than trying to bathe him at home. Lol!) DJ and her team were so accommodating, patient, as well as helpful during our experience. The prices were affordable, the place was clean as well as spacious. The bathing stations as well as dryers were perfect for our needs. I will most definitely be making Bark and Bubbles our bathing home for my fur baby. You have a client for life!Thank you again ❤️

The concept that DJ and her team has is very innovative. I love to see young people working and socializing in an environment that can ultimately prepare them to be better adults. My issue with this business is courtesy and . Emergency management. My goldendoodle was a regular, this incident happened several months ago. Upon picking him up I was greeted by a dog who could not open his eyes and was whimpering. I was immediately told that he had been scratching his eyes after he received a bath. The groomer informed me that my dog could have gotten soap in his eyes and instead of calling me immediately they took the initiative to rinse his eyes. After several rinses and15-20 min my dog continue to scratch and whimper. I received a call almost an hour later stating that he was ready for pick him up. No mention of the incident or his current condition. Although I was calm at the salon seeing my doggie in such a helpless condition and I was not notified, I was mortified inside. I immediately took him to the vet and was told the constant scratching from the shampoo resulted in a corona inflammation a $465 vet bill with my dog wearing a cone. Ms DJ felt that she and her team weren’t responsible and offered me $50 off my next service. Needless to say I never returned and have taken this matter to court.

Took my dog in for a quick self wash before we headed back to Houston. One of the young ladies explained how the equipment worked and went over the shampoo’s and conditioners and provided all the necessary equipment that was needed for me to give him a good scrubbing! lol She even came over and checked on us which was appreciated. All in all after about 30min my dog was fresh and clean!! Highly recommend and will be back!!

I took my dog there to use their facilities so I could wash her which is a good deal at 15 bucks.I did not like the fact that they had a large dog tied up on top of the table all the way in the back of the establishment I had to. Be there about 40 minutes and not once Did anyone pay any attention to that dog? I would not wanna leave my dog in there? I don't think I'll be back. The staff is young and they were busier in their phones then on the floor.

This place is terrible. I was charged $25 for a 5 minute dog nail trim by a teenager who was not even a groomer. They also placed 4 charges on my credit card, 3 of which were tests. The nail clippers weren’t sterilized, and the grooming table wasn’t clean. My dog was totally freaked out. When I complained, the owner sent me a series of texts bashing me and told me I was “weird.” I’ll never go there again. They are unprofessional, have poor customer service, are expensive, and have no idea how to run a business.

I took my dog to get groomed here for the first time because it was referred my a friend. I dropped him off at noon for a full grooming and was told he would be done by 2:30. 4 o’clock came around and I hadn’t heard from them so I called. Once I reached out to them because I heard from know one they told me they needed 40 more minutes because my dog was scared and hiding from them. Which is understandable, but I should have been contacted hours ago. I still didn’t get any updates so I drove up there an hour later giving them more time and I was told they needed 40 more minutes. I was frustrated after driving all the way there but at this point just waiting to get my baby back. Once I could pick him up the owner was apologetic enough to take 10% off, but after all that time I got come and realized they didn’t even trim his nails at all after a 6 hour grooming session for a 5 pound dog.

I'd say this place is convenient for folks like me who don't have a bathtub or outdoor space to bathe their dogs. I did the self service which isn't so bad. The price is reasonable. Self service comes with soap, towels and brushes but I prefer to bring my own. The staff is pretty cool but Not a lot of interaction. My fur baby however, was not impressed. Took a little too long to check out which was kinda off putting considering my pup was very anxious after her wash and would have liked to get her out asap. Overall, the self service is worth the price. I will be back.

The owner got very upset at my review. Texted my personal phone asking why I left a 1 star. Very unprofessional. The grooming took over 5 hours. Only for her cut to be uneven , she was allergic to whatever shampoo they use and she caught kennel cough . This place does not separate the puppies they all just run around together. My dog has been sick for 2 weeks.

Always an issue here my puppies never smell fresh when they leave. She has a bunch of kids working for her that don’t even like animals and even the owner is disrespectful when you text her or call her for an appointment. Definitely takes her regular vacations on time though and leave these little high school kids to run the show

I am so pleased with the care and attention that my furbaby receives when he comes to the spa. He even gets excited when he enters the salon. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The work is impeccable. Great work takes time and we are here for every second of it. It’s worth every cent!

I love the self-serve option for my dog. He's an old guy and needs time. I am able to take my time, wash him and dry him. They provide everything you need. The products are excellent quality and the staff is very nice and extremely helpful. Self-serve dog wash, brilliant!

Bark and Bubbles is a great local resource to keep your best friend clean and smelling great all year long! They offer a variety of valet grooming services, as well as, self-service washing stations.What I truly love are their the organic shampoos (No Tears, Oatmeal, Deshedding and Flea & Tick). Becky's, my dog, favorites are the Oatmeal and No Tears. The Oatmeal shampoo leaves her coat soft, smooth and smells great!The staff is wonderful and attentive! They are friendly, helpful and truly love the animals they care for!I highly recommend this Bark and Bubbles for your next doggie bath!

Took my dog to this place for the 2nd time first time was good this time he had 2 gashes close by his eyes and matting still around his muzzle I wasn’t trippin cause I understood he was matted I also was late pickin him up which resulted in them taking him to the human society where they told me the groomers said he was a stray and was found outside near the shop when that’s completely a lie so I had to pay an extra $65 to get him from the humane society after I already paid $200 for his grooming he was uneven an everything if he was in too bad of a condition just say you can’t do it and don’t accept my money he won’t be back and my previous review was also deleted

My boy Roscoe was well overdue for grooming. It was our first time here, and yes I was a bit nervous about the outcome. But when I picked my baby up, oh my how good did he look. His cut was to perfection, and I'm very pleased with the services.

Went there for the $15 self wash. It was a great experience for my dog (60lbs pup). The equipment is great and easy to use. All my questions were answered and I got all the help I could ask for.The place was spacious, clean and the everyone was friendly.I am definitely coming back for my next pup-shower

Lots of hidden fees. Make sure you ask for the “policies” before dropping off your pup. If you don’t reply to a text it’s a $25 fee. If you are 10 min late picking up it’s a $20 fee. Additional $25 fee for “de tangling”. The puppy special supposedly gives you three cuts but really it’s not a guaranteed cut til the 3rd session. The owner is very rude and unprofessional, doesn’t listen to any concerns just gets defensive. Not going back there

They are quite pricey, but took me last minute when I really needed them. Pricey meaning what they charge $125 for, I normally pay $75. They did a nice job though and were so nice and personable. I like that it's open. Dogs aren't kept in cages.

Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful. The bath tubs are nicely sized (my dog is 45lbs) and the soap has my dog smelling great. They also offer a dryer in addition to towels. This is a great alternative to washing my dog at home, because as a huge shedder it becomes quite the ordeal.
