Today I had the luxury of meeting the owner and operator of aquatic oasis, let me tell you, that man know his stuff, I gave him my predicament and he helped me find the solution quick, not only that but he also helped me save money by buying things that aren’t needed, he truly cares about his community and the people in it, hands down a great place to go even if it’s for advice, call or show up in force and support this community business please. Also he needs more reviews so please after you visit, give him a few stars please.

Finally had a day off to make it in to the new location and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience! I do not know anything about fish but my son loves fish and has been following this shops Ig page and has been begging me to get him a shark. We were greeted upon arrival with high fives from the owner then he gave us a tour of the shop while he answered all of my son’s millions of questions. The owner was knowledgeable and patient, he did not try to oversell us and actually educated us on what fish would be the best fit for us. We def weren’t ready for a shark but we walked away with a beautiful home for our newest family member and a new friend in the fish industry.

This is an amazing aquatic business located conveniently in my southeast side Chicago area in proximity in our neighborhood. The array of species of fish 🐠🐡🐟 will keep one occupied for sometime. Our hobby is our aquarium and with the expertise of owner Brando and his staff, we are able to maintain a healthy beautiful environment for our aquatic pets 🐠🐟🐡! The 6×6 saltwater shark tank is a must see, this is my new favorite aquarium store.The store had a great selection of rare and common fish plus a great selection of the essential, the tanks were also kept prestine. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and owner.

I came here today looking for some addition to my fish tank that I already have. I was so pleased when I arrive to see that all the tanks were clean and everyone was so friendly including the owner. He greeted us and showed us around and gave us some very good suggestions for our tank which is salt water. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for new pet addition.

I've had another aquarium for about 15 years now so I've been to many aquarium stores and this is truly one of the best, a real gem. Big props to Brandon for following his dream. It's a great place just to chill and dream, get some technical advice, or purchase some super healthy fish.

Well I was trying to find some aquarium pet stores in Chicago's South side and this is one I never heard of or saw on Google. I was going to go to Golden Aquarium in Ashland Ave. to visit again to kill boredom for this winter but this came up. I noticed it is not even on Yelp and the owner, Brandon addressed it too since they are fairly new since May 2021. So far the place is organized, well kept, and Hikari Gold Koi food for color was $4 to $5 less expensive than most independent mom and pop stores I know in the south side or the north side. Brandon was very amiable and was not sales driven pushy. I even got places he knew which surprises me since I go far north or far south to see an aquarium store. I even go out of state to Indiana or Wisconsin. Anyways please do give this place a try if you are in the south side. Brandon even takes unwanted fish or fish aquariums if you cannot take care of your fish or retiring from the Hobby. Hope the place gets noticed on Yelp since I also am a Yelp Ellite and like to post the same review and pictures to let others know. Also hope he stays in business since he is new and the Aquarium hobby is something the new generation does NOT do anymore.

Outstanding service!! I can’t say enough about this Oasis on the Island. If you have the time check them out they have a good assortment of fish, accessories, tanks, pretty much everything needed for enthusiast of any level. Oh yeah be sure to check out there Elevated Shark Tank. It’s like the Shedd Aquarium only just down the street and admission is Free. When you get there tell’em Jason sent ya!!

I bought a puffer for a really good price because of a moving sale. The owner was welcoming and gave me his card to let them know how the avocado puffer does. I will be back next year and visit the new location.

Brandon was so helpful for getting fish for my first aquarium! They had a nice selection of freshwater fish as well as some salt water fish. I got danios, tetras, molly fish, shrimp and snails. They also can create a whole tank that is self filtering if you can invest! Thanks Brandon and Co.!

Update: today, i reached out to the owner with questions about the water temp for the tank i bought from this place and instead of the owner being professional, he accused me of "coming at him." The discussion ended with me in tears and i wont ever be back and wont ever refer another person there and wont ever contact him again. Customer care goes a long way and this one ended today.Owner, you continue to be combative. You want to go back and forth with a customer? Nowhere in my texts did I ever say you sold me an incomplete tank. And sure you have your receipts that i was happy at once, no one ever disputed that. Perhaps you should listen to what i ASKED instead of being so combative. And you are also LYING about slurs. What i said was that i was getting upset and was about to f___ cry, and then I hung up. So not only are you combative and unprofessional, but you're also untruthful.

It only takes one bad experience. I have come to this spot since opening day. The owner is charming. However, I went today and the young lady there has the worst customer service. She even gave me less than a dozen of the fish that I ordered. And it’s insulting considering I saw her go in the bag to take some out. Meanwhile I paid for a dozen and got 9 in one bag and 11 in the other bag. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this pet shop. Fish are expensive enough at this place. Now the staff is cheating its customer!

Cute, but not a huge selection. Was quoted $800 for a complete set up ie 45 gallon tank, stand, fish & filter (the one pictured). A bit pricey for me.

It's been a few months since I've been here so I'm updating my review. The shop is small and you may miss it just driving by. However they have a great selection of fish that you can't get in the area or at big pet stores. However, they do have a lot of regular fish to. The supplies are pretty good for the space and it looks beautiful inside. Staff is knowledgeable once we started talking and it's clear he enjoys what he is doing. I just bought 12 fish from there and added them to my tank. They are super healthy and getting along great with their new tank mates. In terms of pricing I feel they are on par with box stores but on the higher end which I expected from a small business. Overall, this is a good aquarium shop with a great selection.

When you walk in the shop there is an heir of excellence which shows the owner takes pride in his business. Wonderful well maintained aquariums with sparkling water. A large variety of fish; they even had a shark when I visited! Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive with the larger chain pet stores. The shop is family owned and operated, their mother is absolutely charming ! I'm proud to have the business in our neighborhood. Be sure to stop by and give them your patronage.

beware The owner of this store is a con Artist he will sell you incompatible fish that u will have to bring back. He will tell u that you can bring it back if i my doesn’t workout While knowing that u will bring it back only to tell u that u can’t get a refund or another fish but he will give u a 15% store credit

This place is the best. I've been a fish keeper for years and the owner couldn't be nicer or more knowledgeable. His tanks look great and he has a huge selection of anything you need. He has great salt and fresh water tanks to choose from. Im not going anywhere else from now on.
