We have had pretty good experiences with this place before but when we picked up our dog the most recent time the register was down. At that time my dad did not have cash and asked to run to the car quickly and grab money and come back quickly and pay. The lady said no, and then said she would keep our dog in the store till he paid. We have been loyal customers for a year now and are disappointed with the customer service.

I absolutely love this place! My little Charlie loves them. I don’t know how they get him so cuddly soft…but I love it. They also give great tips and advice to keep our baby healthy and clean. I highly recommend A Paw Place ❤️❤️

I've had a great experience with A Paw Place from using their dog walking and pet sitting services to getting pet supplies from the store front. I somehow ended up with a new dog in the middle of medical residency and have been really fortunate to build a relationship with A Paw Place staff to efficiently and effortlessly set up dog walks and pet sitting during long works days or overnight shifts. I can genuinely say that without A Paw Place it wouldn't have been possible to care for my dog during this time. My dog also loves visiting the store every couple of weeks to pick up her food and the store staff always remember her. I am conscientious about the type of food that she eats and try my best to incorporate raw food into her diet. The store offers raw food brands like Primal Pronto and a variety of raw food meal add-ins that aren't offered at other main stream pet stores. It is so wonderful to have a variety pet services in Hyde Park!I recently had my Cairn Terrier, Pippin, groomed at A Paw Place. He is a double-coated coarse-haired terrier. Kyle did a fantastic job! I wanted to keep the natural waterproof, insulating characteristics of Pippin's coat. Kyle used a coat stripping tool on his coat with a trim on his face, feet, and fanny!Pippin is so stinkin' cute.I highly recommend A Paw Place grooming services.

A Paw Place is spectacular. We got a puppy during the pandemic thinking that since one of us worked remotely we would have the flexibility for those tough first few months since he was a couple months old. We were definitely wrong! But, A Paw Place swooped in and helped us out with playing and walking our puppy, then taking him to doggie day care when he became old enough. We used them a bunch for boarding and went to their store to get his food as well. They were/are incredible. The staff are so caring and sweet. Hyde Park/Kenwood is so lucky to have this establishment!

They've got the basics and they're very friendly, but if you need a large selection (and if you prefer cat and dog food with grain) then this is likely not the stop for you.

I brought my puppy wheaten terrier to Kyle at A Paw Place today and we had an AMAZING experience. This is our third grooming place and the third time Is the charm! The other places told me that she couldn’t be groomed bc she was so squirmy. But Kyle worked wonders by keeping her calm and was able to give her a fabulous cut. I’m incredibly impressed!

A Paw Place is a lovely local shop with great selection of healthy food and treats and other essentials for pets. Great to have a grooming service here in Hyde Park. Had my dog groomed here and was very pleased with the concern about how we wanted it done. Anderson did a beautiful Job on the grooming! Friendly staff.

I was super excited when I saw A Paws Place opening last year. I had recently moved and worried I wouldn’t be able to find my dogs food at a small store nearby. They had the food which immediately meant to me that they have high quality foods for gods. I’ve been going since. Recently, I couldn’t get a hair cut and my normal place and decided to give them a try. I showed a reference picture for my little guy and the immediate response was, I can do that. Yes, they did! They cut him to a tee how I wanted It and can now see my little guys handsome face. I highly recommend coming here for any dog services you need. They are super kind and just clearly love their clients, the pupsters .

I made my first visit here to get a durable poop-scoop. They had exactly what I wanted at a price comparable to online. Saw the great selection of high--quality and raw foods. A little bigger than the other nbrhd pet store. Great to have two pet stores in HP.

A Paw Place is a newer full service pet shop in Hyde Park. They carry only the science proven foods and all natural treats for both cats and dogs. Additionally, they offer Pet Sitting, walking and Salon services.This is a great "go to" resource in Hyde Park for pet owners who care about the quality of services they receive and foods their pets eats!

Becky and her team have been BEYOND helpful in finding our puppy and our old-man dog the right balance of food and supplements to help with their tummy troubles. Thanks to Becky's expertise and guidance, we now have food delivered exactly when we need it. We have seen a dramatic change in our dog's issues (they're gone now, one dog was having issues for years... so this was shocking!). It's taken a lot of worry off my plate and now I have a resource for guidance, food and care for my dogs that frankly I didn't know existed.

I’m new to Chicago from Detroit and have used the same groomer for 5 years for my Pomeranian so I was kind of hesitant. Kyle did such a good job on my puppy and he (my puppy lol) wasn’t even stressed out afterwards. I’m so thankful for the job well done!

Walked into this location because I recently moved in the neighborhood and was looking to take my dog here for treats and the training. I walked in and was not greeted buy the girl who was at the front desk. I browsed around for a few minutes because I wanted to purchase something but didn’t have the price on the item. So I just decided to head for the door. The girl then says “ sorry is there something I can help you with” ?? Me being in customer service I know that is not the proper way to assist a customer. So I won’t be doing any business here! And I advise others to just go to the other pet store on stony island.

I had my cockapoo, Zigz, groomed at A Paw Place by Kyle. Overall, I think Kyle did a great job! As an especially paranoid dog parent, I was super pleased that Zigz seemed comfortable with Kyle (and, vice-versa) and this is probably the *least* distressed I've ever seen Zigz after a trip to a groomer.
