This is the ONLY place where my mom and I will buy meat, the meat here (beef, chicken, fish, pork) is THE BEST quality. We drive 30+ minutes to come here to buy our groceries and we absolutely LOVE how sweet the employees are.HOWEVER, this is the 2nd time we've purchased moldy, mushy, bruised strawberries. It isn't until you take them out of the container, especially when you get home that you see how bad they are. In the container in the store they look perfectly fine, but, when I took the strawberries out to wash and cut up this is what I see (picture) I expect better from a place called "FRESH MARKET" especially since their meat products never give us problems.

Freshest food best prices. However, they tell everyone to chop off my hand for stealing a pack of hotdogs like they're Holy priest or something. If them noisy kk's mom's didn't come from Mexico & suck off all the business owners for all the good jobs in town.

Went to pay half and half on a card Mexican girl rude acts like she doesn’t speak English nor understand smh manager wasn’t anywhere to be found. If we want to be in America so Bad and have a business the least you can do is know English and not try and be a racist!

I shop here about once a week. It's a small neighborhood market stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, a lot of Latino/Caribbean specific ethnic foods and spices, some alcohol, a bakery and a hot food counter in the back. One reviewer noted that the staff was unfriendly and possibly racist which I disagree with. I am a Black American and have not experienced any issues in shopping there. The contention may be a language and familiarity issue more so than race related. I attempt with my bad Spanish to communicate and am greeted kindly by the staff. After all, money is green no matter who is spending it. The Rotisserie chicken, guacamole and beans are very nice here. The fruit and vegetables are not Whole Foods quality but they are of acceptable quality and the meat is presented nicely and of average quality. Milk, eggs, bread are all fresh. They have an assortment of cheeses, a nice small bakery and a liquor section with enough alcohol to get you by. I also appreciate all of the little Latino knick knacks you can find in here to buy. I gave it a four star rating because it is not a 5 star store but, it is relatively clean and has everything one needs to create a meal. 🌟

What this Store has Going for it is that it Local and Very Convenient!!! Its in a Mix Neighborhood, So the Customers are Very Loyal and they Do Repeat business there!!! You Can Cash Your Check, Buy Money Orders and Even Play the Lottery!!! I Don't think they Do Weekly Sales, but they do Offer Some things On Sale!!! They have Plenty of Very Fresh Meat, and it's Displayed Nicely!!! They have Ample Amount of Produce Out at a Time, In the Back they have More In-Stock if Needed!!! On the Plus Side there's a Restaurant on the Side, Food is Quite Delicious!!!

Prices are a bit high but this is where you can get FRESH meat. Cashiers are always nice too. They have really good bakery items. Chocolate filled churros are the best! They also have chicken and pork tamales taste delicious! Parking lot is spacious but a bit of a hassle during busy hours.

Great food! I got t-bone steaks for 3.99 a pound and they were beautiful and delicious. They have ethnic food options, which I like (Asian pears, fresh turmeric, etc); but, they have a limited selection. Worth checking out for sure - service was good at the register and the butcher/fresh meat.

Very busy today! Everything clean and well stocked. Love the variety. Tamales awesome! T bones cheaper here than Jewel on sale. Only thing I didn't like was the cashier was messing with her phone as I checked out.

This is what you want! I'm telling you they have the best meats you have ever seen. I've lived in three states and over 50+ yr old black woman who loves to cook healthy soul food. Even though it's mostly Hispanics I get what I need and some. Truly a pleasant delight.

Chicago Heights fresh market is a Mexican own store, the prices are reasonable. the homemade food is pretty good, like the tamales and other homemade stuff as well like carnita.

I bought chicken 2 days ago and when I went to cook it it was rancid. I took it back and they wouldn’t take it back or give me my money. I certainly didn’t want any more meat!!!!!! I won’t be buying meat from there again!!!!!

Very nice people, well staffed for fast service. Great selection of meats and cheeses, some preprepared items ready to cook. Spice and canned section has wide variety. Produce and fruit fresh and neatly organized.

I have bought meat and tamales there last week. Turned out it was spoiled meat and I ended up with chicken tamales instead. They weren't great at all either. They did not want to give me a refund for the meat and I couldn't exchange the tamales either.When they first opened it was awesome. Now I've noticed they're slipping when it comes to selling quality meat, carnitas and menudo.Never again will I shop there.
