I am highly disappointed in this location every time I come. There's fifteen register but they continuously only have one open every time. There's always multiple employees walking around the location 😕 and they can never help anyone. Eventually people left their carts and left the location.

I’ve read all of the reviews and understand that we may not all share the same experiences. All stores have issues with flys and gnats. If you were a bug, where would you prefer to eat? Never witnessed the store filthy; including the bathroom, and I’m very particular about such.The staff have always been extremely helpful and personable. One of the stockers (non store employee) went out of his way to help me find the edamame on two separate occasions. They were all sold out each time, but because I’m short, he searched the top shelves for me so I wouldn’t hurt myself. The next time I returned, there was edamame! 👍😀Currently, I am hurt. We went tonight and one of the workers made sure the motorized vehicle was working properly and cleaned the seat for me. Left my cash in the car and someone escorted my daughter out. She came right back in safely! It would have been burdensome to walk back to the parking lot myself. Thank you again. That shows compassion.I don’t mind waiting in line. Usually not too bad. Some people are unreasonable and have unrealistic expectations.I love how they don’t waste products and mark down bakery and dairy. My intentions were to buy Chobani oatmilk for my coffee, but there was a different milk marked down less than half! If I don’t like it, then no harm for what I paid!To the bakery. See the pic? This slice is SO DAMN GOOD! Fresh & creamy. Can’t believe it was .77! Burger King has a chocolate creamy pie that we’ve fallen in love with. This is equally good.Bring your best attitude and maybe you’ll see that everything doesn’t have to be a complaint. I’d love to manage this store or share best business practices.

Food for less may have some expensive things but the deals here are amazing like 2 for 5 deals or buy 10 there all a dollar.The employees our always nice and can tell they been trained,It can be crowded sometimes so the only recommendation is that they hire more people.

Best customer service ever. I was so distracted by my TD Jake’s that i never noticed my groceries were dripping around the store. She found me and helped me by wiping all of my groceries clean and cleaning the spill I had all around the store 😂🙈thank you so much Ms. Tameka. The quality of fruits, vegetables, meats, and frozen fish (shrimp) is not good. Vegetables are molded, meats look old, frozen shrimp tastes stale, and fruits look old and soft. I need another place to shop. I guess everything else is okay

This store is changing. On my last visit the bathrooms were absolutely terrible. The stores lighting is off, it just looked very dark and dim the day I visited. The staff are always helpful and mostly give great service with a smile. The fruit and veggies department could certainly step their game up, especially to keep up with Pete's. Food 4 Less prices are always very fair but cleanliness and lighting will help the shoppers experience and have customers coming back.

Went there and the deli was closed again. I was there 9am today. They constantly change the time in which the deli is open. Today the time was 10am, 2 weeks ago it was closed, and the times before that was 830am. Only reason they're getting 2 stars is because of the great prices and very nice cashiers. They really need to post these times.

I certainly give this store 5 stars for their great customer services. You can always find a employee working on the floor ready to help! Like Daruis he helped me look for what I needed with out any problems! The cashiers are all friendly and fast working and it's a nice place to sit from out the cold waiting on your bus or ride to approach.

Opportunity is the cleanliness of the bathrooms, could use a serious detail. However I rank this place 4 stars because of the employees. They were very helpful and friendly. I encountered two employees there during my visit and they both went above and beyond my expectations. All employees observed were diligently working on something and took pride in their work. The work ethics were very refreshing. Prices were competitive and selection per category was ok. Good place for last minute shopping.

Friendly staff and if you like me, want to get in and out this is the place. Very convenient. Update ran into a very rude cashier basically told me I was crazy. Told me they don't take samsung pay even though I used it the day before. Left the groceries there and went to Pete's. Found a wider variety of products. None the less I won't be back.

Great deals, clean easy to navigate. They dont carry a huge variety of each item, but enough to fill your pantry at great savings. App and online coupons too. Checkout pretty quick, cashiers always pleasant.

I was ok with Food for Less until today I found like a million gnats and their eggs in a bag full of romaine lettuce it was absolutely disgusting. I definitely would of taken pictures but I had to get rid of them immediately they were crawling on my hands it was horrible. I couldn't even go back to the store to show them because I had to trash it I was too afraid they would get in my house.

Employees are friendly, and willing to help if you need it. Fruit and veggie section is clean, organized and has great selection. Plus, I love that gluten free items have been expanded, given more options to those of us that can't do gluten.

Always has good sales and mostly well stocked. Lines were kind of crazy, why do stores build 20 registers anymore? Employees are generally nice, & most Kroger brand food products are really good and cheapish.

Parking lot well lighted. Clean restrooms. Isles where not filled with clutter. Store was well organized. Stock personnel were friendly when I approached him with a question, sorry I didn't check for his name. Keep up the great service👍👍

Dear Mr McMullen,I am writing to inform you of what was a very unpleasant customer experience at your Food 4 Less store, located in Chicago Heights, IL on Western Ave.Let me preface this by indicating that I am a long-time Kroger, and Kroger family shopper. My overall experience had been a fulfilling one, but that all changed on Wednesday September 25 at approximately 1pm when a went into your Food 4 Less store to pick up a few items. I had three items in my basket when I got to the aisle 2 checkout line, which had approximately 8 other customers. The cashier looked at the length of the line we were standing in, and informed us that aisle 15 was open, even though the aisle 15 light was off.As instructed, I walked to aisle 15 which already had one customer being waited on. When it was my turn to be checked out by the cashier in aisles 15, she informed me that she was closed. I let her know the cashier in aisle 2 sent me down because her line was too long. She asked me to wait, walked to where the store manager was and returned. Bryan, who never introduced himself, informed me that aisle 15 was closed, and I would have to go to another line. There was only one other line, and self-check out open and available. I told Bryan that I was instructed by the first cashier to come to this aisle, and his reply was, “I don’t care what you were told, this line is closed”I find the type of response to a customer not only rude, but also not meeting the core values of your organization, namely respect of others and integrity.Disappointed, disrespected and devalued as a customer is why I left my grocery items and will no longer shop in a Kroger brand store27 September 2019Rodney McMullenCEO, Kroger1014 Vine StreetCincinnati, OH 45202

I don’t have a clue how this Food 4 Less could possibly have even two stars let along four b/c it’s dirty it’s dimly lit and it’s populated with the lowest of individuals and I am talking about the employees Tiffany in particular has a nasty vengeful attitude has the nerve to call herself a Manager but doesn’t know how to treat customers she’s so ghetto and rude it’s hard to even talk to her. And then there’s does Angela C. who stands there with a baseball cap looking at customers with evil and atrocious attitudes not greeting customers or in anyway professional, nice or courteous. Just all-around a bad bad experience a bad bad bunch, Which also explains why often when I buy goods from here specifically meats and fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden they are always rotten just like most of the establishment here. My advice to you is to order for pick up from Walmart or travel down in Mattson to the new Grocery store they just built.

They live up to their name. Decent prices but boy oh boy does the customer service lack. Talk about one register and a mile of customers. Other employees would see this and continue going about their day. This has happened multiple times. Great potential though

They’re a great local grocery store to visit when you need something quickly and don’t feel like going to Walmart. Their prices are cheap but not too cheap, and for the most part you can trust the quality of the food you get from them. The store itself is usually clean and neat whenever I visit and the employees are polite and helpful.

Just went this morning and found squad cars and a crew boarding store up. One piece had “ Store Closing” on it. When I stopped to ask the police that were there they didn’t know what was going on. Store wasn’t vandalized so I hope we’re not losing the only store in town now.

Excellent prepared gourmet foods along with good grocery selections. They make very good smoothies with any type of protein/vitamin you may want. You can get it without of course. Products are priced higher than most.
