Where can I start about the problems since you ask? One of the problems is I have returned bad meat and bread. Your cashiers are not welcoming when customers walk in the store. If your items are not in the correct place and a customer ask for it for the price that the entire pile is in. Your store or cashiers will not honor that price. Your managers seem to show respect for all people accept your African American customers. Before I completed my review I shopped your store a few times before giving reviews. The reason why I didn't post this before because I was taught If you don't have nothing good to say. Don't say anything at all. At that time I had nothing good to say! Oh and what about when the Covid19 spread across the world you were selling cases of water for 8.00 a case. I believe because this place is in my neighborhood I expected for them to change things but I needed just a bottle of water to sneak in as I gambled and ended up purchasing a few items and a case of water. As the manager with the beard stand proudly in what suppose to be customer service area this is what he should have been checking.

Thank you so much for Country Squires help I have not had Marconi bread in around 45 years they sent me some to California been eatingon it ever since last week. Can’t wait to order again..

They have specific grocery items that other stores never have, like pastina for example, you’ll die before finding pastina at other grocery stores. They have a specific lunch meat at the deli counter that is salami & prosciutto mixed together, again try finding that at other stores. They also have every herb and spice that you need for home cooking and you won’t have to take out a home equity loan or put up your vehicle title as collateral to get a loan to pay for the spices like other price gouging places. I particularly like their Dell’Alpe line of spices, once again try finding that brand of spice at other grocery stores, if you do find that brand of spice some other place, you’ll probably burn a tank of gasoline while doing it.

Prices on meat is really hard to beat by surrounding stores. Staff pleasant. I like the smaller store feel, as well.

If I could give them no stars I would. Went in today bought some pound cakes I opened them they had mold the date on the box was 6/27/22 so for 3 months you didn't take this off your shelf I went and spoke to the manager all he said was ok like he didn't care I had ate 1 already eveything in that store is old and expired and the manager is beyond rude didn't apologize until after he made sure I bought it there like I was lying when I had my receipt. BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY and always check dates

I like the selection of items. I would probably shop there more often but I find that the employees are neither friendly nor helpful. No greetings when a customer enters, no interaction at the counter... As high as prices are now, businesses should make a customer feel valued

They have great food and friendly service! Their Deli counter is the best! The Egg Salad and Chicken Salad are the best in the South Suburbs! They can be a little pricey but it's better than walking around a giant box store to get a few items. Their produce section is also always stocked and fresh. If you are looking for quality and ease this is the best place.

I went in at 8am. All of the doors were open. I was greeted by two staff members. I proceeded to walk around and grab the 5 or 6 items that I needed, and went to the register. The manager than asked me how I got in the store. I told him that the doors opened when I approached. He told me that they were not open yet. I told him that neither of the two employees who greeted me mentioned anything about the store not being open. He responded by saying the cashier was not there yet, so I would not be able to check out. This was the manager...the manager told me to go put my items back and come back later. I bit my tongue and put my items back, but I will never step foot in that store again. I have never seen a manager turn away a paying customer...nor have I seen a manager that is unaware that his automatic doors are switched on and unlocked. Incredible.

Best deli around. Their chicken salad is better than home made and always fresh since everyone buys it up! They have a great selection of delicious hot entrees like sausage and peppers, meat loaf and stuffed cabbage rolls. Great for lunch or taking home for dinner.

Honestly it’s been around for ages and they are much more welcoming then back when I was younger. I’m not sure if it’s under new ownership or not but it does serve as a quick stop if you don’t feel like going out of your way for certain items. They don’t have a huge selection though. I like the changes to staff seems like they’ve made progress because it used to be such rude or arrogant service but now the younger staff is a little more welcoming. I only stop here on urgent basis like if I’m out of Shells for tacos or need more ketchup. Not a good option for actual grocery shopping as their prices are inflated as heck. Overall it’s an okay spot. A lot of their stuff doesn’t seem fresh but they keep it clean and they do their best considering it’s a small almost historic little spot in the community.

Very good selection in bakery section.Strawberry Cream & German Chocolate cakes delicious. Canoli Cake excellent !!!Reasonably priced. Personnel accommodating. Was there on Christmas Day was in charge of desserts.Family loved your cakes!! Nothing left to bring home.

Employees are always nice, friendly and very helpful. Especially the deli employees. They are very patient when I'm not sure what I want from behind the deli. Some of the grocery items are very pricing. But when items are on sale, the prices are pretty low.

Country Squire has been a landmark grocery in Chicago Heights for decades. Their meat, poultry and produce are fresh. They have good sales. Plus their deli is very good with a wide variety of meats, cheeses, salads, olives, etc. They have sustain when other grocery stores have closed. A great place to shop.

Well for one, I'm employed with this store and it's a nice store to shop at for everything you needs and the owner has been serving and taking care of his customers for years and I've had the pleasure to work with lovely employees and listen to some of the customers stories about their experience and history with the store.

Every dept was friendly and fully loaded. The meat dept had cuts I can't find at other stores. And you don't have to school the deli how to cut and stack the cheese. Thumbs up to the bakery for setting aside a dessert i've been looking for. Now were down to the checkout. I know they gonna screwup! And I be dam they can also bag... I 've been back to this store several times sincewith the experience 👍

They used to be over priced, new owner new way of running things. I met him and he admitted to selling things at no benefit to him just to make sure things stayed in stock and make sure his customers can get what they need! Regular shopper here now where I didn't used to be.

This is my go-to store for meat and deli; the small bakery also great for bread/rolls. Their produce dept has drastically improved over the last year and I find myself getting more and more with each visit.
