Ok, this about today's (April 27, 2024,) event at County Market in Chatham, Illinois. They are cooking up sandwich RIBEYES that are almost twice as big as the buns they're are served on! Just look at the picture.I hadn't planned on eating here, but when I saw the signs, I had to try one. There are two items I track down at the State Fair and that's a pork tenderloin sandwich and this one, A Ribeye sandwich.They also include your choice of a NA beverage, chips and condiments - and as mine was the first sandwich off the grill, it was hot and cooked the way I love it. I added lettuce, a side of excellent pickle slices and the biggest, ripest slice of tomato I have seen in a long, long time. Then I added their Steak Sauce, and while not Country Bob's, it added just the right touch of flavor to an excellent steak.Now, I don't know what it costs anymore at the State Fair but here, today it's SIX DOLLARS PLUS TAX of 46 cents or so.That's right, SIX DOLLARS and I am so glad I dropped by there and waited for this steak lunch. They are serving from 10 AM to 4 PM.Thank you to the staff at this County Market!

I really like this supermarket chain! I'd been in one near the Lincoln museum about ten years while in town, but didn't get a good look around like I did at this one.It's well stocked, great variety, and clean. Plenty of parking too. The employees are very helpful and nice.I had to take a picture of the lunchmeat sign cos if you can believe it, people in the South do not know what that word means! It did my heart good to see it!!

I keep finding produce that are moldy, old, and shriveled, and tried my best to look over everything, and still ended up with a moldy product.Do better.

People are rude. Cassier's act like they have better things to do than to check you out. They will stand there looking at you, knowing that you are there to check out, doing something on their phone, and making you wait until they get ready. They don't even say anything, not hello, how are you, did you find everything you need. Nothing, just the total and when you tell them that you have a Max card they act like you are imposing. Never anyone at the meat.

How's the quality of the products? Good selections. Keeps me from traveling too far. How's the customer service? Always friendly. How's the place look from the inside and outside? County Markets are like McDonalds in that they all seem reliably similar. I love their Chester's Chicken in the prepared food deli! It's a good quality store with a good selection of products. I used to think all grocery stores at least stocked the same basics. That is not true and still baffles me. County Market is a good quality choice.

Seems like I always stop at the Market when I'm in town. Wonderful wine and beer selection. Store is always clean. Staff has always helpful, had some challenges getting some gift cards for a dear friend. They staff worked on it until it was resolved. I will return.

Location is convenient & lots of parking. Staff is usually friendly & knowledgeable. One concern is they don't thoroughly check expiration dates on their stock. On the other hand, I take the time to check expiration dates on all products no matter what store i'm shopping at. They still bag your groceries in checkout!

I tried the digital coupons and the register did not except them so I had to go have everything redid at the customer service counter. The gentleman that helped was fast but just frustrated. The coupons were helped drop the cost by ten dollars.

We have frequented the store for years and our visits are becoming random and only due to convenience for a few items at this point. The freshness of the produce is a consistent problem. But, the larger problem is the attitude of some of the workers. We have been not only treated rudely at customer service and the checkouts but, we have also been completely ignored when needing assistance. In one instance, my husband left a whole grocery order at the self check and left the store because the front end staff were too busy talking and straight up ignoring him when the self check scanner stopped on his last item. And, he was the only customer in the checkout lanes at the time. They act like serving customers is an annoyance.

I had the greatest experience. My wife and I ordered our lunch from the deli, all the employees were friendly and knowledgeable. More than one of the employees behind the counter took the time to say hi and ask if there was anything else we needed. The food was great. I will return to this store.

Great neighborhood grocery store! I'm finding myself there almost every day to pick something up, but prices are a little higher, so I don't do a big grocery shop there. I always go there for meat. Great meat and deli departments. I LOVE their recipe ready chicken breast in the meat deartment. Huge time saver.

Above average across the board. You will find all of the basics here and some variety in places you would not expect and in others the lack of variety is irritating. Produce, meat and bakery departments tend to be well stocked and always seem to be staffed. Prices are not going to be able to beat Walmart or Aldi's but you get quality in exchange.

I don’t know what has happened to the County Market in Chatham but the quality of service has fell way down this past year... They introduced a self checkout that always has problems when I’m there, the managers in the front are little to no help and are usually rude, and there are about 2/3 cashiers I see working when I’m shopping in Ferrell, Gaby and another I don’t know the name of as well as in a select couple of the baggers. I’ve shopped there for over 7 years and never seen it this bad.

Watch your receipt to make sure you got what's on sale...they are terrible at this. I bought some meat out of the ready to go counter back in the meat department. It was in a gravy or marinade. Dont ever get that! I puked violently within 30 minutes after dinner. I'm sure the marinade was tainted. Overall Its local so you will end up there.

Simple, only purchased 3 items that was in same price range as months ago ( eggs, bread & grapefruit juice). Not a store to purchase most items unless on sale, too pricey & quality minimal.

Decent selection of items, but not the greatest; not complete, in my opinion.The prices are slightly high. But, they do help offset that by producing their own coupon book for purchases made in their store.

4 stars because I like having a grocery store in our small town. I also like the sales and coupons. The bakery does well also. The people are normally friendly. The main problem that I have is always finding items that have expired expiration dates. Make sure you check every item for it's dates.
