First and foremost, the pharmacy is a train wreck and has been for years. But, that is a symptom of Walgreens corporate and the local pharmacists do their best with the lack of corporate support.That being said, this particular store has major staffing and infrastructure issues. Employees are tasked with doing jobs around the store and don't often mind the check-outs. And they aren't dressed in recognizable uniforms, so you can't easily flag one down for help. You usually have to wait at the photo counter until someone notices you.Frozen Food section has been out of service for quite some time.

We made the switch from CVS to Walgreens solely because Walgreens accepts CareCredit. Although the transition has been challenging, I empathize with the other frustrated customers who have voiced their complaints. However, after personally speaking with the technicians inside the Walgreens, I can't help but feel sorry for them. These individuals are under immense pressure, yet they remain dedicated to their work. The pharmacist, an elderly gentleman, works alongside a middle-aged female technician and a young man in his twenties who is just starting out. Despite the constant demands from customers through the drive-thru, phone, and in-person inquiries, these technicians handle every task with professionalism and patience. During my visit, I had a large order for my family, and it took some time to ensure I had everything I needed before checking out. In the interim, approximately six people lined up behind me, eager to complete their own tasks. I urge everyone to bear in mind the challenges these technicians face daily and show them some kindness and grace. They must be exhausted from working tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy.

This pharmacy really needs better hours. My daughter had surgery and I went to fill her prescription at 5:30 stood for ten minutes only to be informed that they close in 20 minutes. They did ask me if I wanted to go to a different pharmacy. I also have disabled clients who have time sensitive medication and can't get them filled over the weekend since there is no pharmacist on the weekend.

While checking out I was waiting behind another customer. When the man finally saw there was a line forming he stood up from his task and sighed as if it were a chore to check us out. The only thing he said to either of us was “phone number?” (For the Walgreens card) while I was trying to pay he got a call on his cell phone and instead of answering after my transaction was done he answered it to talk to his roommates. I had to wait until he was done with his phone call. I work in customer service and it was one of the rudest things that has ever been done to me. Even if my customers called me slurs I would never be that disrespectful.

Well , My Daughter got out of hospital on Monday the 30th. She called Tuesday and was told it would be ready weds. I go weds to pick up and it's not ready. I call on Thursday the 2nd and ask about prescription and am in told it's not ready. I am like what we told it would be done Tuesday, I was then told oh, didn't know someone told u that. It's 15 pills antibiotics that she needs. So here we are 3days later and no prescription. Will be last time, hopefully the infection isn't coming back due to Walgreens lack of

The acetaminophen for arthritis was out of stock for the two smaller sizes but I'm sure it is ordered for truck. I just didn't like spending $15 on a bottle. Then I had a coupon for $7 off my next purchase. Spent a lot and got only $5 off. Same thing when I had a $6 one. Qualifications were met. Cashier didn't know why it was less either. Other than that I like Walgreens.

This Walgreens WAS fine, but over the last few months everything has changed. This is the first review I’ve ever written, that’s how sick I am of dealing with the pharmacy. It’s gotten so bad, I have to call to remind them to fill my automatic refills. I’m told to wait an hour and a half; I wait until the following day, but when I go to pick up it’s still not ready. The next day, still not ready. The prescription isn’t even for pills that have to be counted out, just test strips for my glucometer. How hard is it to put a tiny box in a bag and staple a piece of paper to it? Getting all my meds moved across the street tomorrow.

My son has an ear infection that is causing him a lot of pain. Got his prescriptions for his anabiotic sent to Charleston Walgreens on a Saturday. Pulled up before their business hours in their drive-through and came back at the time listed that they were open. Went inside because drive-through was still not open. Come to find out after two trips to Walgreens in Charleston they have no pharmacist on the weekends. The hours on the outside of the store still have not been updated. Now I have to drive to Mattoon to get the prescription transferred over so my son doesn’t have to wait until Monday to get his medications.

I have used Walgreen's all my life and never had issues until I started using this one. My doctor sent over a prescription and I stopped in on the same day to get it filled and they said they had it in the form of a voicemail from my doctor. I didn't hear anything from Walgreens in three days and I call back and now they claim they never received a prescription. It shouldn't be that difficult to get a prescription filled.

For months now I have been dealing with problem after problem. My prescriptions are never ready when they are supposed to be, and most the time the staff is short and acts irritated with me. Called for a refill, they needed doc approval, 4 days later they still had not contacted my doctors office. I am going without my medicine when I should not have to be! My son is late on his antibiotics now too, because they can’t refill a prescription on time. 😡

Absolute worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with in my life. 2 DAY wait for a refill. Not 2 hours, but 2 days!!! Now after waiting for 3, yes THREE days, they tell me they don't even have a prescription to refill for me at all. Would never recommend to anyone. Especially any pregnant women with severe morning sickness who rely on that medicine!!

Came here for my covid vaccine, the doctor/pharmacist administering them was notably absent for an hour not performing any shots. I know this because of the make-shift vaccination room set up outside the patient health room. When she came the first time, she took care of 3 of the 5 people waiting, and took another 40 minutes to return after that.There werent that many people here so I feel like waiting this long for a simple shot shouldn't take this long.

I have been using Walgreens pharmacy for close to 30 years. Use to be very helpful. Last few years they always have new people working, nobody ever knows you. Called last week for refill was told they would contact my Dr. Went in there 2 days later no call had been made. Was told they could no longer give me the name brad med. That I have been taking for 18 years. When I told them I was completely out of med now, I was told that was not any of their concern and I would have to talk to my Dr about it. A couple months ago they completely deleted all my refills. I am switching pharmacys. You just lost a long time customer.

One of the worse ran Walgreens I have ever been to.1. Severly understaffed. Don't even make an appointnwnt here unless you git an hour to wait.2. I bought the last of a product here in September. It's December and they still haven't restocked many of the empty shelves.

Pharmacy service was ridiculous. Went to pick up a prescription and they said it'd be a 30-40 min wait. I waited in the store to come back to a long line at the counter and once I finally got to the counter they told me it'd be another 30-40 mins. The lady at the drive-thru was telling people it'd be a 2 hour wait. I'll be gladly switching pharmacies. Don't waste your time here people, AVOID.

Terrible service!First time getting prescription filled with them, they handed me someone else's prescription,Everytime I refill online it only says 'in progress ' have to go in to tell them to refill it and then takes hour or more.Well today it's been 5 days in progress, so I try calling and 15 minutes waiting for someone to ANSWER THE PHONE and still No one answered so hung up tried 3 more times NO answer!Most definitely had terrible experience here in Charleston Walgreens! Those weren't the only times I just not going to write each one.Definitely going somewhere else

Pharmacy staff was completely unhelpful. I called 3 times and the second time I waited on hold for 10 minutes only to be hung up on then I called back and blocked my number and they picked right up. Finally ended up transferring the prescription to another pharmacy.

Horrible. Took me 3 days of calling and waiting on hold for over 40 minutes to get a rx filled because the phone system won't let you do it yourself on the automated system.. I am assuming they shut off the phone system rx refill cause they are overwhelmed. Finally got ahold of someone on Saturday who said it would be ready by Sunday at 11am. It wasn't. Husband went to pick it up and still not ready on Monday, they said an hour! Currently sitting in the drive thru for 30 mins. Hate this pharmacy.

The pharmacy has been closed for over 4 days only option at gas prices is go to one out of town. How can they expect people to get medication ? If don't have enough employees why are they not seeking some this has been going on for over a year!

Nice selection of products and clean store. Staff are courteous and helpful. Better prices when there is a Walgreens product available. Prices are competitive on national brand products. Would recommend you give them a try.

When I called they told me that we could come in for our second Covid booster without an appointment. When we got there, they said that we needed an appointment. VERY POOR INFORMATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I'll take my prescription business to CVS.

Will not be back... had the doctor call in my prescriptions in the early morning. Went to walgreens 2 hours after that and they said it would be an hour wait. So we came back after an hour and a half and they hadn't even started on my prescriptions.. they either need to get more staff or something..

I was very disappointed. I pulled up to the drive-thru and we were the only ones in line. We were completely ignored by everyone inside! When we hit the call button the pharmacist picked up the phone and hung it up so that he did not have to listen to it. Absolutely absurd!!!! Horrible service

They were supposed to give me 90 pills, but only gave me 30, in small bottle had to take my medicine bottle in to show them their mistake, and I got my medicine!!!!! I wasn't about to pay for thier mistake!!

I called in to the pharmacy to get a script for my wife I was the fourth one in line and I had waited 2 hours and 9 minutes when they answer with hello and hung up. Poor management!!!! I might have to start going to CVS or Walmart.

Constantly under staffed even when you call to make sure your prescription is ready and wait in the long line for 20 minutes they ask you to come back in 15 minutes because it's not ready its ridiculous and a waste of customer time

Takes a long time to pick up RX you will set in drive-thru for up to 30 minutes.to pick up RX that has been ready for pick up for up to a day or two if your in a rush best not think your going to pick up n go
