They recently did a complete remodel of the store. It is now much easier to locate items and cash out. With the new remodel it looks like it is roomier inside and it is much easier to walk around while shopping. You will sometimes pay a little more for the convenience as compared to big box stores but the difference is usually minimal. The convenience often makes up for the small increase in price. I recommend you give them a try

Newly renovated clean and easy to find products. Friendly helpful staff always willing to help with projects and suggestions for the best item to pick for it. Frequently visit and spend time visiting and purchasing items for various tasks. FedEx drop off located in store along with a U-Haul help center and rental facility Greenhouse and various seasonal items throughout the year.

This location has a great selection. The store is clean and well organized but the few times I have needed help, it was difficult to find someone. When I did they were not very knowledgeable but definitely friendly. I have always had a good experience here though and will definitely continue shopping here for all my hardware needs...

They have a wide variety of items. They recently updated their store with new floor plans and new displays. It is much nicer and much easier to shop now. Everything is organized well and there is plenty of room between the aisles. They have a nice selection of items many of which are competitively priced. To make the store look more open and larger they discontinued some of the slower moving items to make room for the newer faster moving items. You should check out the new layout I believe you will find it very inviting

This is an extremely nice Ace as far as hardware stores go. Huge display of Green Eggs/supplies and Weber grills etc. Friendly, helpful staff always!

I try to shop local but getting treated badly w/ open rude attitude by the day shift lady at the counter every time I go in is NOT the shopper experience I'm going to deal with....I'll just drive further for the big box store.. The lady went out of her way to be as un helpful as she could w/ the worst customer service! Thanks for the great shopping experience NOT

The store is always clean and organized, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The items I purchased, I was not knowledgeable about, but the employee who help me was. In fact I was more than impressed with her friendliness and knowledge of law and garden. Renee, I believe was her name.

I was impressed by how many things I could get here; I always thought that they would have a limited selection since they are half the size if Menards, HomeDepot, and Rural King. Their store brand of tools looked decent and was offered at a great price. We did stop in because their website showed that they had vacuums when they did not.The staff was very friendly. I was briefly annoyed when the very kind sales associate began incorrectly explaining the ramifications of the stimulus checks to patrons... I've taken Marco economics and he clearly has not... As soon as he stopped giving people false information, he was back to being the nicest guy. If 4.5 stars were an option, I would have gone with it.

It's good for a quick fix if you need to grab something but I would not shop big-time here because of the prices. That's why I only four stars. Other than that customer service is excellent and everybody in there is very helpful and pleasant..

My friend and I went there with our kids today to buy some bolts and the kids had to use the restroom. As his daughter was headed to the restroom she got sick and puked on the floor. We saw a mop and cleaned it up so the staff didn't have to. We were very polite and apologised. An older man that work there with a white beard was unhelpful and extremely rude to us if we weren't trying to get her out of there and home because she was sick I would have talked to the manager and ripped that guy in white beard and new one I believe he should be reprimanded and I'm going to wait till I come down and then contact the management. We did not know she was sick and that man had no right to be that rude to us. I've lived in this town for over 40 years and I can honestly say I am done shopping at this overpriced rude store. I don't care what my needs are in the future. No customer should ever be treated that way ever. Ace hardware goodbye. I will never speak well of this store ever again.

A little pricier than the big box stores in the area, but the cost is made up for with a convenient location, quick checkouts and friendly, knowledgeable service. You don't have to spend 20 minutes trying to get the attention of a staff member because they are right there for you. Finding somone to help you locate something is easy. And if you need some questions answered, then there is staff on hand who can get them answered.

I took my mower blade there to get it sharpened, twice! They ask me for my phone number, and say they will call when it's ready. One week later, both times, no call. I stop in and it's ready, but why take the phone number if you're not going to call?Also, their staff (certain ones) can be very rude. I'm not a fan of the over-priced Ace Hardware's, but once in awhile I have to go there for certain things. It's a shame that the staff can be so rude.

If your looking for a bolt or just dont want to drive to Mattoon then check out Ace first as I've found the prices to be just the same as big box stores and so convenient
