The owner is very friendly. She took great care of my dog. He was in great spirits when I picked him up after leaving him there for 3 days. The owner talked with me about how my dog did while he was in her care. The care and communication provided by the owner was a huge plus. Her prices are very reasonable as well. She was the cheapest of the kennels that I had contacted. Very pleased with my experience and plan to return in the future.

We took our puppy to Blackstone Kennels for a 2 night stay .We had some car problems on the road and it ended up being 4 nights. When we came to pick him up he was happy ,healthy and clean.This kennel is clean and Rose takes really special care of the animals in her care.I am so great full I could leave my pup and feel he was safe and in good hands.I will always use her for boarding and doggy day care!!!

This is a great kennel! Rose loves animals and takes great care of them. Her prices are very affordable and are a great value. It feels good knowing our dog is safe and in good hands while we are gone.

The first time I used Blackstone Kennels I did not have any issues and I was happy with their care. The second time, I was VERY unhappy.I dropped my two dogs off on December 20th and they were picked up on the 26th. One of my dogs unfortunately has been diagnosed with Blastomycosis. For those of you who do not know what Blastomycosis is, it is a systematic yeast like fungal infection. If this fungal infection is left untreated, it will kill the dog and if your dog is not 100% healthy the chances of survival decrease dramatically.Per my vet, my dog is to remain on a strict schedule of taking his antibiotic twice a day. When I dropped my dogs off at Blackstone Kennels, I politely reminded Rose that he must take his antibiotic twice a day and that she did not have to worry about giving him his medication that morning due to him getting it before being dropped off. I also informed her that the pills are in the prescription bottles from the vet with the directions along with a container of peanut butter that we give the pills in. I was told not to worry; they will take care of it!My two dogs were picked up on the 26th by my Fiancé’s brother. I came home after work to give my dog his antibiotic and noticed there were way too many pills in the bottle and the bottle should have only had about 1 days’ worth of antibiotics left.I called Blackstone Kennels on the 27th and spoke with Rose. I explained my concern and she told me she would investigate it and would give me a call back. When she called me back, she explained to me that the girl who was supposed to give the medication must have forgot to give it Sunday night (22nd), all of Christmas Eve, and all of Christmas Day. She explained she was sorry, which I told her I appreciated, and asked what she could do to make it right. At this point, I was so frustrated that I just told her I was very unhappy with the company because I entrusted my dog’s life and health with them, and he was not properly cared for. I did not ask for anything because at this point, it would be useless. I just wanted my dog given his medication while I was out of town. I simply informed her I would be leaving reviews for others just so they would be aware of the care that they may or may not receive. Rose then blew up on me and yelled I was threatening her, and she would have her Lawyer involved too.I calmly explained that I was not threatening her and that I never said anything about involving a lawyer, that I simply said I would just be leaving a review for others who would appreciate the heads up. I explained to her she is running a business and like any other business, good and bad reviews will be left. She then calmed down and stated “OK” and I told her to have a good day and hung up.

Look this establishment. I’ve been taking my dog her for the past 2 years and never had an issue. she’s always so excited to see Rose. I know she is in good hands when left in their care. Would recommend to friends and family.

Our two dogs were boarded and when we picked them up after almost a week they looked and smelled disgusting. They also took one of our dogs collars off and then didn't even know how to put it back on him. We have also been dealing with a flea infestation that started when we brought them both home. They have never had fleas until after their stay there. Never again....

Very friendly and knowledgeable of animals. The owner is Very caring and passionate about her job. Service included are getting your dog bathed or hair trimmed and offers boarding. Very conveniently located in between Charleston and Mattoon.
