We needed a new groomer and heard good things about The Shaggy Dog inside The Feed Loft in Channahon. Sarah did an amazing job with both of our miniature poodles, especially Bella who hates being groomed.I peeked around the corner while Sarah was trimming Bella’s nails and Bella was licking Sarah’s hand!Everyone was so friendly, and our dogs loved it there - so glad we went there!

Love this place. Small town feel pet store. They do great grooming and have all kinds of nice stuff for dogs and cats and other pets. I especially like that they carry live bait, crickets, and worms for lizards. Plenty of nice dog chew toys and treats and a good price. Great staff. A bunch of chill cats that hang around. And Elise is a groomer who does a great job and she's gorgeous.

The feedlot service was impeccable! Very kind staff. It was my dogs first time being groomed and they did a phenomenal job. 10/10 would recommend! Reasonable pricing for the work done.

We come here all the time for feeder mice and crickets. I would give it 5 stars but recently just had an experience where I made an appointment for my puppy to get groomed and I drove all the way out to find out the appointment had been canceled with no phone call. So I had to scramble to find him somewhere else to go after waiting 2 weeks for this appointment. Otherwise great service in the shop.

The new Feed Loft owners have made some wonderful changes to the store since they took over. Lots of new pet and wildlife products, local made jams and honey and my favorite addition of a self pet wash as well as their new groomer. I dropped my dog off today for a bath, brush, ear and teeth cleaning, nail and sanitary trim and Paige did a great job!!

The best small town feed store. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and great selections. Love that they have store cats that just wonder around getting attention from all the customers. It's safe to say I probably spend more money at this store than I would simply because my son loves coming here to say hi to the cats.

Just moved here in August and my son recommend where he took his dog, Lady. He was right, I am comfortable leaving knowing Abbey is going to be well taken care of more important Abbey doesn’t act scared or anxious when I leave her. She’s high anxiety after losing her sister few weeks ago and I was worried because they always went together but they made her feel safe and do an amazing job on grooming. Great team and I highly recommend them!

Had a one (1) hour behavioral session with Dominique and can not say enough good things about her! Once meeting Dominique, listening to her directions, hearing her complement the way were working with our pup and seeing how she interacted with him, I had no doubt that I made the right choice of bringing our pup to her!! Would recommend her 100%!!

We always love to stop in here and shop for our 2 dogs. My 5 yr old likes to go and play with the friendly shop cats. The atmosphere is so homey and inviting. I was looking for a new pet, something sweet, cuddly, and trainable. After a lot of questions and the knowledgable staff, and a couple days of research, I bought a small rat. She is so sweet, we named her sweety. She is the most docile rodent we ever adopted. I am very happy with my choice.We love the Feed Loft and try to stop by when we need pet supplies, advice, or a new pet.

I have 2 Siberian Husky females & they are very picky!! Both are very vocal when they aren't pleased..Lol!! Anything bought here the girls LOVE!!! Also, the staff is awesome & extremely helpful!! I love this place. Anyone coming here WILL NOT be disappointed!! 😊

Absolutely the best pet store I've ever been to! Staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and more then willing to help with what you need. Not to mention there are cats in the store that walk around that are more than happy to receive lots of pets ❤️

This place used to be a go to for pet food and grooming, not so much anymore. I can understand stock due to limited availability, but other places aren't having the same issues.Trying to set up a grooming appointment is impossible, never available to set an appointment if you call, took over a week to get a callback after calling twice a day for a week.Really a shame, as my pups used to love being groomed here, had to take them elsewhere.

If you have an animal, this is the place to get its food. The people that work there are so friendly and knowledgeable. They have live food like crickets, mice, wax worms, roaches, and more.We always play the game: "Where's the kitty cat?" You can help your kids search around the store and see if you can find a friendly kitty cat napping. It makes our day!

The customer service is amazing! They are always helpful and take time to help me with any questions I have about feed and care. I recently took in some chickens, and the owner talked to me at length about caring for them, and was very knowledgeable. I have some very happy hens, and their egg production is way up since taking her advice!They also have everything stocked consistently, which has been a huge difference from the local big chains.This is my favorite local spot to get everything I need for all of my pets-I highly recommend The Feed Loft!!!

Amazing experience! Katie did a fabulous job trimming our crazy pups nails. She came to our home, was fantastic with my daughter and the puppy. Katie answered all of our questions and shared so many new services being offered at the store! Everyone at The Feed Loft has been kind and SO helpful! We're looking forward to trying out the self-serve dog wash and going to a puppy training class in 2 weeks!Highly recommend The Feed Loft ❤️

We just had a great experience at The Feed Loft for grooming services with my 3 dogs! Everyone (the manager on duty and Hailey) were extremely friendly, flexible, and accommodating. I really feel they went above and beyond for me today. The nail trims and baths were very well done, and they really worked hard to gain my dog’s trust; which isn’t always easy to do! We also discussed the dog products they have in stock. I felt like the manager really listened to my concerns and was very knowledgeable about what to give our dogs. I highly recommend The Feed Loft for their dog grooming services! Judging from my 3 happy pups, we will be going back! Thank you!

I've been coming here for years primarily in the summer when we would go fishing... But this past September I acquired a puppy and started stopping in for treats and nail trimmings.. the staff is extremely knowledgeable and even got me to switch over to a different brand of dog food so that it would help curve my dog's allergies.. after one bag of the food he is now off of his allergy medicine! Thanks again for the great hospitality and product knowledge your staff brings to the community!

The Feed Loft has great customer service. Katie and the rest of the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. They take the time to get to know their customers and pets. We love going there for all our dogs needs and fishing supplies. Our dog is the worst with getting her nails trimmed and is easily scared by other people. We were shocked when she let Katie trim her nails with no issues. We love the Feed Loft!

The workers and owners are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable when it comes to either wildlife, or your pets at home! The Feed Loft is a very welcoming place with a mass variety of foods and accessories, as well as bait and tackle for fishing. For all of you that prefer all natural and/or organic foods for your pets, I do see that they carry that as well! Highly recommend this place as I've been coming here since the previous owners, and have never been disappointed!

I stopped in today and the store is exceptionally clean and well kept. I was helped by a very knowledgeable lady, I told her my dachshund is very itchy all the time and she helped me find salmon oil and all salmon products. I highly recommend this store for all animals. thank you Feed Loft for being so amazing.
