If you haven’t taken the time to drop by this delightful farm, give yourself permission to do so right away. Although my arrival was impromptu, my timing was rewarded with an exceptional wine tasting. The entire team, especially Lisa, she immediately made me feel like a neighbor. Check out their web site for upcoming events. Of course it’s so easy to make friends with all the adorable goats. Make time for a walk about along the trails on this gorgeous property. Come prepared to taste and take home an amazing variety of cheeses that will please your every desire and become a staple on your shopping list.

I participated in the farm to table dinner last night and I was blown away. The staff was so passionate about what they were there for, and the food was DIVINE. I am a picky and bougie eater and I was a member of the clean plate club for every course. The presentation, the flavor profiles, the effort. I couldn’t believe what a gem this place is!!!!!

Beautiful farm with very good food. I’ve attended a few of the brunches in the spring and it is always a great experience. The food is definitely a little pricey, but it is good. Seeing the goats is always worth it!

I love this place. Have been several times. Went there tonight for a farm to table dinner and it was amazing. The hosts are so friendly and kind. The goats are so fun to watch. Great place to visit.

We did the wine flight as well as the beer flight. Three different wines-white,rose,and red - paired with three different cheeses(which is their specialty), their original goat cheese, their feta, and a harder cheese. The beer flight had 3 different beers, as well as 3 different cheeses. They do the pairings,so you have to trust their abilities, and you won't be disappointed. We plan on returning on our next visit. Don't forget to pet the goats!!

I've always wanted to visit Prairie Fruits farm to support a local business. When I saw they were going to have brunch with baby goats I decided it would be the perfect opportunity to visit the farm and interact with baby goats. The brunch was a good pastry from a local bakery nothing fancy, but that was fine since I was really just excited to see the goats! When we got to the goat barn we were greeted with two workers who were supervising the goats in their pins. I was excited to interact with the goats but was disappointed when we wree told we couldn't enter the pins and could only pet the goats through the gates. It was nice to see the goats, but I was mislead and thought that guests would actually be able to play with the goats in a more interactive fashion. I understand why they might not want people to interact directly with goats becuase it can be a liability, but they could have people sign waivers/not allow young kids. I'm just disappointed with the experience and feel like I did not get my $50 worth (two tickets). If you are looking for a petting zoo event this would be great for you, but if you actually want to interact with the goats I would not recommend.

I’m so happy we found this place! As a cheese and an animal lover I am beyond satisfied with the experience I had. The cheeses and gelatos were phenomenal and Lisa was very knowledgeable and personable about the farm, the goats, and the cheese! We brought home both a fresh chèvre and a bloomy cheese and can not wait to dig in. I would highly recommend this place!

Good views, great goats, and even better people. Staff and owners are courteous and friendly. Answer any and all questions without hesitation and with extreme enthusiasm. They sell excellent products and goats. I picked up 8 girls this weekend from them. They care deeply for their animals and the products they produce. They have supreme records for the herd and care deeply about them from birth to their milking days. I would go back in a heartbeat to visit and to purchase more products and goats! Just have to wait!

Food ranges from really great to okay and the atmosphere is fantastic. Plus you get to see baby and momma goats!! Great place for your inner children and your actual children.Get there EARLY, though. 9am when the doors open should be okay. Any later and you're waiting for an hour at least. They've done a lot to speed up the wait time (accepting credit cards, cooking the food ahead of time in batches), but the volume of people is just too great. Which is yet another indication of how awesome they are.

What a unique experience, baby goats and fine cuisine. Prairie Fruit Farm opens their facility to the public for three Saturdays in April to give children of all ages the opportunity to mingle with the kids of another species. My wife enjoyed her French Toast Casserole and I my pork and potato basket. But the highlight of our adventure was the tables full of families with little children coming out to experience a few hours on the farm. From the friendly folks helping with parking to the courteous wait staff to the helpful signs along the way, everything was well thought out and executed. We will definitely keep an eye on this venue.

Love it here!! Cute friendly lil Nubian and La Mancha milk goats and creamery. This is a working farm who allows visitors to have a peek into farming. Awesome goat cheese, goat gelatos and other locally sourced meats and wines etc sourced nearby from farmers. Goat yoga in the summer with baby goats shouldn't be missed. They host incredible meals with limited seating all summer and charming holiday events - holiday photos with goats is family fun for all! Proceeds of the events- fund the many needs of the goats, so pitch in and feel good about it ♡

Beautiful, authentic and peaceful. Love seeing how Prairie Fruits Farm has evolved over the years. We had our corporate retreat there last week and did goat yoga, a tour of the farm and ended with a farm to table lunch. Simply perfect. Thanks to all the great staff there for making our experience a memorable one.

I love everything about PFFC. They have wonderful events through the year including Dote on the Does, visiting baby goats, Goat Yoga, dinners on the farm, happy hours, tours, and more. It's such a gorgeous place and EVERYTHING is delicious. I love their creativity with their cheeses and gelato flavors. Right now they have meal kits too so you can grab and go!

Goats are fun to watch. The shop is nice and has something for everyone. There is a comfortable covered patio to eat gelato. Parking can be tricky.

I always love visiting Prairie Fruits. My kids like to see the goats. When they had breakfasts they were great. The snacks and cheese trays they're making now are equally as great. The cheese is expensive but worth every penny.

This was an amazing experience to see the goats roam and hear how the milking process leads to the making of the cheese

We drove from St. Louis to Champaign just to visit Prairie Fruits Farm and have Happy Hour with their goats on Friday. It is a fun place with lots of adorable goats, very friendly owners and employees, and the BEST goat cheeses we have ever had!

Awesome local farm setup to accomdate the public. The goats were very friendly and my 2 year old absolutely loved them. Good offering in their shop - cheeses, gelato and local meats.

Very pricey. I had a very small coffee ($3) & the blueberry french toast bites (FYI nothing extra is included) & my bill was over $16. 👎 Wait staff goofed, & the lady on the register had absolutely no clue what was going on. It's dissapointingly obvious that this a BUSINESS - the goats are simply a profitable commodity. 👎The positive highlight was meeting Mercedes (dining staff) & the lady from Bane Farm. 👍

All the cheeses and gelatos are amazing! The owners are the salt of the earth and very knowledgeable and caring. They treat their goats like family and it is just a wonderful operation! Go and check it out and give them some support!

I wanted to like this place. The farm itself is really cool. But it's a disaster and I'll never go back. We went for a dinner on the farm event. It was so unorganized and complete chaos. There are dogs running around and while we were there a little girl got bit by one of the dogs. We waited in line for ever to buy chicken. When we got up there they had no idea what was going on and for 1 beer and three dinners it was $64. I told them everything seemed unorganized and I was concerned that they may not have enough food. They assured me that if you have a ticket you get a meal. Well they didn't. They ran out of chicken. We were there for 2 hours and never got food. There were unsafe piles of lumber with nails around, mean dogs, dangerous equipment and kids running everywhere and people drinking everywhere. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Save yourself the trouble and take a pass on this place.

I’ve never seen a more loving farm than prairie fruits farm. It’s clear that all of the goats are loved and the proof is in the magical milk that the goats produce. A true testament to Leslie and Wes who love their “kids!!”

I went to Prairie Fruits last Friday to buy cheese, gelato, and to wander around. I was fortunate to be able to talk to Lynn (one of the cheesemakers), Sarah, and Wes Jarrell (one of the owners). All were very friendly and they all took time out to answer my questions. I got a chance to see the goats and wander around the barns as well. Ate some gelato, too! The Espresso was especially divine.I've been eating their cheeses since returning home to Indiana. All have been delicious. Highly recommend not only the cheeses, but also a visit to the farm.

EDIT: After an initial not so good review, I heard from the owner Leslie. After sharing our bad experience, she (I am praying Leslie is a she), reached out to me about making a return happen and giving us, and them a second chance. We will try to work things out for the long drive back and give another review after doing so. We will give it another try. Thanks LeslieAdded 1 more star for review. Lets work on that 5 stars.

I visited Prairie Fruits in the summer of 2012 to obtain cheese and gelato for our daughter's wedding. The products are just beyond fabulous. The best gelato in my opinion was the strawberry -- unlike supermarket strawberry ice cream, this actually tasted like real strawberries. The Thai-basil was also excellent. I was given a cheese tasting. Everything was superb, and it was really great to meet both the cheese maker and the gelato maker -- as well to visit the "girls" who made the milk they were working with. If you are anywhere within a couple of hours of Champaign, you MUST visit Prairie Fruits.

I had the amazing opportunity to dine here last night and was nothing short of blown away with the quality of everything! I'm still licking my lips thinking about the chevre cheese that was set at the table initially. I look forward to seeing their products around town and just might wake up to get to the Urbana Farmer's Market now.
