I was offended and felt racially profiled, here. I had to be rang up twice, having forgotten my wallet in the car the first time.The clerk that rang me up the second time selected a "miscellaneous charge" button. It added $30 dollars to my total, more than what I was rang up at by the first clerk a few minutes before. I spoke out about the difference and so the clerk pushed a button that reduced my total by $10. I paid it, but it was still more than what the first clerk had rung me up at. I will not be shopping at this Ace again.

The place is stacked with everything, easily organized. I feel kinda stupid having been to get things on Amazon when we have this.Also Home Depot and Lowes, maybe good for home construction supply, but random staff. Big box takes anyone. These guys seem to take people who know "stuff"ACE people know what's there. You can have "a guy" here that will help you out. Even if it means sending you online.Both Champaign locations are fantastic.

Well organized place with helpful staff. more basic tools might be cheaper somewhere else, but it's worth it if you're not sure other places will have what you're looking for. I bought some hand saws there and they were easy to find .

Been in the other ace a few times. Came in this one and my experience was terrible. Dennis was awful. I was looking for some hex drill drivers. I could not find them. Went to the register and Dennis was standing there. No one there. Said excuse me- no response. Said excuse me again and got a rude I will be with you. Finally able to tell him what I am looking for. He goes a few steps down the aisle and point the where they are and walks off. Then I go to get check out. I ask him how he is doing no response. I pay and while Im putting my receipt away and my items are on the counter he ask the person behind me if he has Ace rewards. I say can I have a bag and he tells me one second. I was done. Just a rude man.

Stopped in for the first time to buy some barbecue rub. They have a good selection (meat church being my choice). The store was clean and service was nice. I didn't look throughout the store so not sure of the selection of other items.

I came here for a few bags of top soil. There were 2 bags caked in mud and a pallet of clean bags and all I have is a car. The guy refused to sell me the clean bags. I think it’s extremely rude that you’d make a customer put mud in their car or refuse a sale.

This place consistently fails. The prices are way out of line. Everything is at least 3 to 5 dollars more expensive at the store than any other place. Might as well just skip it and go to Menards and actually get more for your money. And there’s never any help when you need it. The rewards program is a joke.

My several experiences at this store have been great. The employees have been super friendly and helpful on all my visits. They even fixed my bent apartment key for me on one visit so that I didn't have to make a new copy. :)

Great little hardware store to get the little things you might need. So you don't have to take the time to run up to Lowe's or somewhere, that might be a bit of drive if you live in Savoy or the surrounding Champaign area. Super helpful employees always ready to Answer question or show you where something is.

I went to Ace looking for a few bits for an electrical project, but ended up leaving with everything I needed and more. Their selection is surprisingly varied: everything from good chainsaw two-cycle oil to wire sold by the foot in many different types to a wide variety of old-work and new-work electrical boxes and other wiring hardware. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped me find what I was looking for quickly without overselling.
