It feels like Target of the tools and home improvement shops. It looks so nice in here, especially in the Christmas season.I haven't been to all sections, but the plumbing seems to be small for me. I can't find the connection that I usually buy at Home Depot.It does have other things that others do not carry.

Went for propane tank refills for my RV and grills. They charge a $5 PER TANK service fee and will only fill your tank to 80% Wish I had known this prior to making a trip so hopefully this saves someone done time. Totally useless service I’m not even sure why they offer

We have now gotten 2 applications from Menards and have had the worst customer service with the store and the delivery company they hired to deliver and install. The second application we got was a Display model that they would only deliver and not installed. They didn’t give us all of the parts that we needed that was supposed to come with it and both we have now had to call the manufacturer to have fixed. Will never be setting foot in this store again!

There was a lot manager that helped us today, Dale, that was super awesome! He was very helpful and what would have taken us a few hours on our own, only took about 20 minutes with his help!

i have quite a few complaints about the general manager dan. dan fat shames, dan makes it clear he is AGAINST homosexuality which i find extremely offensive, dan has called his employees stupid IN FRONT of customers and he smiled after which was very unprofessional. about the fat shaming he has called my boyfriend who is an ex carry out at this location “overweight” and “lazy” and i would love for menards to delete this post because i will just post it again. and dan don’t think im not going to corporate with this. have a LOVELY day!

This is our favorite home improvement store. I love that there is a little bit of everything including a small grocery and pet section. We love the frequent 11% rebates and the good deals throughout the store year round.

Spent $50 on one sheet of 5/8" B/C plywood. Got home and ripped it to size and found a huge delamination in the center of the sheet. Really poor quality.

Already paid a week in advance, customers service assured, my name is on it and waiting pickup, not the case, 15 minutes and counting no carpet ,snow carpet finally gets here, and they got the wrong padding, they got the cheap one, and I paid for the waterproof, and the bald guy with glass at gate 14,says I go by the reciet, I say, show me on the receipt, he says, oh sorry I go by 3rd party, I say ,go get the right padding, I'm here now 40 minutes, I guess small towns, are small for a reason !!!

My fiancé and I went to Menards in Champaign, IL. to rent a moving vehicle and the service was beyond frustrating. After waiting 30 minutes and talking to several workers, the only vehicle they had available was given to a different customer, who had not been waiting more than 5 minutes. We showed them our car insurance in a printed version and pictures of the online version, but the employees seemed resigned to reject all of our options just because the expiration date was not on the printed version (despite being on the online version). The first employee, especially, was rude from the first time we said we wanted to rent a vehicle. In the end, we waited over 30 minutes just to leave frustrated, drive to Home Depot, and get a vehicle in about 5 minutes with fantastic service and smiling faces. Not to mention, we ended up paying less for a larger vehicle through Home Depot. We highly recommend Home Depot over Menards.

I have been a customer here for many years, today is the last time. I purchased outdoor patio lights that were ALL defective, while I understand that they don’t manufacture them I found it interesting that 4/4 were. But my real issue was in the return. Their receipt lookup machine was out of order so I was told all I could get was a store credit. When I asked for cash or on my card I was told, “that ain’t happening. You can go home and look for your receipts online or take the store credit.” I explained that I felt because it’s not my fault their machine wasn’t in working order. I then told her ( Customer Service Manager) that I would not return to shop there, she said “well that’s just fine.” I left, to retrieve my receipt online. ( that system is also out of service) when I returned in the morning, resigned to accept the store credit, the gal at the counter explained there’s a way to get it , in less than two minutes I had the receipt and $$ applied back to my card. What a waste of my time! And the rudeness I experienced yesterday was enough. In the last year I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars renovating my home, with lots of projects to complete. I’m taking my money elsewhere.

Store is very organized. Many workers restocking. They are happy to help us find the product we came in for. Would have given a 5 star rating except the young lady had her mask all the way down to her top lip and never pulled it up. If the customers are made to wear them, there employees should have to wear them too.

Bought a washer and dryer from here.couldnt put in my one truck,so we brought 2 trucks.wouldnt let 2 trucks in to pickup the items.should have printed out 2 receipts or something,just totally garbage.i shop here for the business I work at and that is going to change.takes them forever to get pickup items,

I went to Menards to buy a new washing machine. I had purchased a more expensive one from a competitor the prior week, and ended up really hating it. I was going to return it at the competitor and get a different one there, but the horrible service left me bolting that store and trying out Menards appliance department.The two gentlemen working in Menards appliances were fantastic. I was able to get their attention very quickly. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. I spent $200 less at Menards, and they are delivering the washer tomorrow. We can't wait to start using it. Menards absolutely killed it with their high standard of customer service 💯 and we will be making our future home improvement purchases here. Thanks guys!

The employees are always helpful and nice. We've had an error with a special order once but everyone was very nice and helpful. I think it did take a little longer to get everything sorted out with the special order and to have the restocking fee removed since it was an employee error.

Devin R in kitchen cabinets provided outstanding customer service with attention to detail and professionalism. He literally walked me through all the different departments and made sure that my order was correct and complete. He even ensured that billing and delivery were set up and that I would receive the cabinets by the due date. During the ordering process he listened to me and answered all my questions, and stayed within my budget. Of course, I made several changes to the layout during the process, which he handled with patience, good humor and again great attention to detail.

Inventory on boards we came specifically an hour and a half to pick up was off by at least 10. Wasted trip - won't trust Menard's inventory again.

It has helpful employees and a wide scale of things. I will definitely come back. The reason for three stars is their pre-order online and pickup was very time consuming and confusing. I ended up having to walk across the store to the pickup station. The exercise was nice though.

I recently had purchased a 5g bucket of a Pittsburgh paint to use on my interior. After painting, letting it dry and looking at it for a week, I decided that it was simply too light for what I wanted. I returned to the store with the intention of asking the guys at the paint counter to add a little darker tint to the remaining 4g and I would go with that moving forward. We talked through the different colors and bases that I was using and the gentleman at the counter switched me out at no charge. I never asked him to and it was not my intention for him to do so. His customer service was above and beyond and he had me on my way in under 10 minutes. The Champaign Menards is one of my go-to stores for the very reason of their excellent customer service.

Always well stocked with accurate online information. This is important to me as I live 30 miles away. Knowledgeable staff can answer any question you might have. Prices are reasonable and delivery is available for most purchases. Parking is a breeze and flags/string are available for oversized loads.

Thought I'd run in real quick and get some propane but I guess they don't sell a lot of it. Took them 20+ minutes to get my empty tanked filled because the knob for the purge was completely stuck.

The sales associate that checked me out today was very kind and polite to the 2 people in front of me and the person behind me. I wasn’t so lucky. She acted very put out with what I had purchased and never said a word to me. I guess customer service only applies to certain people and the luck of the draw🤷♀️
