Clean, well-lit, competitive prices... Not enough self-checkout kiosks nor standard, staffed checkout lanes. We should not have to wait to check ourselves out.

Amazing bakery, good food. They often have good sales on things. Staff are kind, helpful, and courteous. They have powered bathroom doors for handicapped people! It's awesome!

I do order pickup every couple weeks. My experience has been there's an older gentlemen who works on Friday afternoon who is helpful, kind, and accurate. However if I have to wait till Saturday or Sunday... without fail they screw my order up and I'll be waiting forever.... I've even showed up within my time slot and they've not had my order ready. Idk if they're just extra busy because the weekend or they've got incompetent staff..... but my suggestion is go during the week

Easy to find what I need. Never have to wait in a line to check out. I love the self check out a lot. Most employees are friendly and helpful. I've had 2 female employees who were working in the self checkout area in the morning, they were rude, not helpful and acted like I was bothering them when I had a question. If you can't deal with the public, then find another job.

I used to love shopping here, and have been doing so for 20yrs. But this place has seriously gone downhill. The service (registers) is ridiculously non-existent. You'd better have the shopping app when you come here bc otherwise you're gonna be standing in line for 45min. The produce selection is varied, but the quality is terrible. Hope you like near-rotten bell peppers and one lone withered white onion. Meat prices are mostly reasonable IF you watch the sales. Toy section is small. Clothes, shoes, pharmacy, pet food....everything else is adequate.I'm giving 3 stars bc Meijer is still better than Wally World, but i feel like they could do alot better. I understand it's a competitive market, and there have been some small improvements made (the revolving gaggle of rude and lazy chickenheads up front was unbearable). But they've got a long way to go to even get back to the quality shopping experience that used to be Meijer...once apon a time.

Great store, horrible door greeter!Older gentleman was super rude to me when I was trying to use a motorized scooter due to a broken ankle. I couldn’t figure out how to make it “go” and he shouted (you might want to unplug it and looked the other way. I said, it is unplugged sir. A kind cart pusher came to help me and pushed a button on the side and the scooter started moving forward and the older gentleman shouted (don’t run him over)! The cart pusher said (it’s okay she wasn’t running me over) and then the older gentleman said (no it’s not okay) I said sir, I wasn’t running him over and you could try to be a little nicer at which time he laughed. The cart pusher apologized for the older guys actions and told me to have a great day, but that guy left a really sour taste in my mouth for my entire shopping experience. I hope he doesn’t “greet” all shoppers in that manner.

This is a great place to shop if you can afford it. We will go for produce as they have the best around. They also have a great selection of ethnic specialty foods.

Literally the worst customer service. Sign to bakery says open til 8pm yet at 530 they say nobody is working. I try to place an order with a manager who just sat there staring at me for 20mins while having a conversation with a friend and then without even checking anything at all he tells me they are booked up and can't make a cake for me at all. Won't be giving my business here at all anymore

Thank you for the electric fuel up! I have never been here, I didn't realize it was a grocery AND department store. Pleasantly surprised! Hopefully, the lot and grassy area will get cleaned up a bit now that the snow has melted. Too many things my dogs tried to eat.

It's a good store but I still don't understand why they increased their inventory of clothing but do not have any fitting rooms, nor any mirrors for trying on shoes or outerwear. I've had to make several trips back to return or exchange items. (Maybe that's their "get-you-in-the-door" strategy?? 🤷♀️)

I spent 1.5 hours shopping for groceries only to have an employee steal my cart as I was grabbing my final item. Not a single employee could be found, though. Service desk? Closed. Zero cashiers on duty. The one lone employee running self checkout couldn’t say who took it (even though the cart—emptied of the dairy, produce, and meat—was left by her) nor could she even tell where to find a manager. So, can’t staff checkouts, can’t staff customer service, no managers, but Meijer DEFINITELY has staff to steal your cart full of hundreds of dollars of groceries. Go anywhere else. Literally anywhere. Don’t waste your time.

I have always had good experiences with Meijer in the past. However, this past Saturday, September 23rd was not a pleasant experience. I was shopping for birthday supplies for my daughter's 21st birthday. Among some of my items I was purchasing, was 4 Gift cards to put inside her card. Because I was getting gift cards, I decided to go to a lane with a cashier vs just going through the self-checkout like I normally do. I was behind 2 family's that both had large orders. I waited patiently as I was not in any rush. When it was finally my time to check out, I was not greeted by the Cashier, Kathy, instead I was greeted with "really?! ALL these gift cards?!!" with annoyance. She rang the 1st card up and asked how much I wanted on it, and I replied I wanted $20. I then immediately said, "wait, can I make that $21 instead?" Kathy told me no, and how me wanting to change it was going to make all the people behind me angry. I was told that getting so many gift cards takes too long already. Because she kept making it an issue, the lady behind me suggested I just put cash in my daughter's card and not get gift cards. I was shocked that the cashier was not wanting me to purchase the gift cards, and now I had people behind me telling me not to get them either. I politely declined the idea of just doing cash and had to tell the cashier that I did in fact want to make my purchases that I came to Meijer for. The next card had a minimum of $20 to add and I told Kathy that I wanted $21 on that one, she began telling me that it won't work, I had to do whole numbers. I had to tell her to please try typing $21 in to see if it would accept it, and guess what, it did! I never thought that trying to purchase gifts for my daughter would be such an issue! After I paid, it takes a moment for the cards to become activated, and as each activation receipt was printing out, Kathy REPEATEDLY apologized to the people behind me for how long this was taking and how THIS is why no one should purchase multiple gift cards.The entire experience made me feel very uncomfortable and frankly confused as to why my check out of 6 total items would be such an issue.I will just stick with Walmart, Target, or Schnucks from here on out for birthday supplies.

It is slightly more expensive than Walmart but has a better selection of a lot of items. If you are looking for alcohol during your shopping trip, this is definitely a great option! It looks like a small shelf until you see the room at the end of the shelf. There are a lot of choices at room temp and chilled.Self check outs mostly so if you are against helping them reduce customer wait time, you will want to avoid it.

I always enjoy shopping here. The greeters are friendly and the staff is usually helpful. The produce is top notch. My complaints are two things: sometimes the stock is lacking, and they don't have enough check lanes open when it's busy.

Was looking for clearances in cloths. They were 50% off. Still pretty expensive. So I did not buy any clothes. Christmas items are 70% off. Got a few things.
