We have 2 very rambunctious 19 month old chocolate labs and got them into a loose leash training class with Jodie. She has been very patient with us, and has even stayed after to help us with leash and collar choices, also to give more tips and options. Max and Ruby have greatly improved, and as owners, we've learned so much. They have a long way to go with training (as do we!), but could not be happier with Jodie's techniques and obvious love for dogs. We highly recommend Jodie Vee's. Thank you!

Would not recommend this trainer. Started puppy class for mainly socializing with other dogs as I have experience training dogs before. One part of the class is just standing and staring at a blanket and hoping your dog offers a good behavior which is sit. So many dogs struggled with this because the trainer just completely skipped over teaching sit. The dogs don’t know to offer the good behavior if they never been taught it in the first place.2nd, was told if your dog is staring or barking at another dog to physically move them so they are not facing that dog anymore by the trainer. My dog ended up barking at another dog so I corrected my dog by tugging on the leash and making him physically move and turn around. The trainer then proceeds to stop class to say “see this is what we do as owners We see a bad behavior, and immediately pull on the leash now the dog thinks he is in trouble for staring and barking at another dog.” Excuse me? First the trainer told me to do this and now wants to say I’m doing it wrong? Also yeah my dog was in trouble for barking at another dog, it’s bad behavior I don’t want to have him doing.Dont waste your money here.

My dog and I have loved the experience for the two classes we have taken so far. I also love the results from attending the classes. Classes fill up fast, but if you get a class be sure to go as that is the only way to get the value out of the class. You also need to have time and be willing to work with your dog outside of class between classes. Come to class with lots of treats!

Jodie is the best!!! She’s the most talented, patient, and accommodating dog trainer I’ve ever worked with. Truly has a “way” with dogs. She has been amazing helping us with our dog’s severe reactivity and separation anxiety and does everything possible to make Winnie feel comfortable when we board him at the facility. Her facilities are sparkling clean and well maintained. She has also helped us with basic obedience training for our new puppy and we couldn’t be more pleased with how she’s developing so far! You are in excellent hands if you take your dog here for boarding, classes, or private training!

Worked with us on a delayed new puppy- all money was forwarded to next class. Her style is good and her examples are done with ‘non pre taught’ dogs from active class.We are in our second & third classes with her. She definitely knows how to positively train dogs.

She has a big building that is set up for training. Lots of toys and blankets etc. We haven't actually started training until the end of October. Am really looking forward to it. From what she sat and talked to Lilbuddy and Myself I believe she will be a very good trainer.

Jodie Vee's Fun Dog Training is great! My dog loves to go to "Jodie School". We have taken several different classes, and learned so much- and it has all been fun! My dog has also loved the Day Academy, and had a very positive experience being boarded, too. My dog, and others, love getting attention and love from Jodie at the classes. Jodie truly loves dogs, and provides professional and positive dog training!

Jodie is AMAZING! I really don't understand any of the negative reviews here. I have a toy Australian shepherd who I started taking to Jodie right when she was 11weeks. I immediately noticed the organization, structure, and professionalism Jodie offers in her puppy classes. I have seen MANY trainers and I am very quick to judge on the small things but nothing bad to say here. Her dog boarding is also extremely convenient and Jodie got my Luna in last minute there on many occasions. I recommend her to everyone I see with a dog!

We have trained two dogs with Jody. The first was early 2021 and the second was late spring 2022. She is the dog whisperer. She is used to all breeds and adjusts to all owners. Very thoughtful and effective training techniques. Owners are brought along to understand the psychology of the dog. Both of our dogs were started with Jody as puppies. Compared to similarly aged dogs we meet, no comparison. Ours are calmer, open to meeting other dogs, don't yap and basically trained. These are the first dogs we've had that not only chase the ball but are excited to bring it back. We've had many dogs before this and only regret that we did not work with Jody earlier. Big thumbs up!

Jodie is awesome. She has a deeper insight into my dog's mind than any other dog trainer we've worked with (and there have been many). Her group classes are so much fun and helps my dog behave better around other dogs.

Jodie is amazing. My Standard Poodle loves every minute of training and day school. Abbey and I have so much fun at class. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a pleasure to be there. We look forward to our class and her Day School time. I love watching Abbey learn under the direction of Jodie.

Jodie and her team are so knowledgeable and truly care about your dog. Such a wide variety of classes offered (puppy training, adult training, dog sports, and more) plus day care and boarding. They know what you need to make your dog happy and to make your home happier with your dog in it! Jodie is so aware of the best way to train certain personalities/breeds and explains everything so well. We can't stop coming back because our puppy loves it and has become an all around more obedient dog!!

Jodie and her staff are just wonderful! My dog Miggy has been attending Academy and some of the classes for more than a year now. He has blast, comes home exhausted (which is great) and he has learned to be a good dog. Can not recommend Jodie Vee's any more highly! Jodie is an amazing trainer! She takes the time to really watch each dog individually and really tries to get to know all the owners. She also knows how to read the emotions of the group and will adjust the class as needed for the comfort of both the dogs and owners. I would highly recommended her to any one in the Champaign-Urbana. My only major regent are that I did not find her sooner.

This is a great place for dog training. Jodie is very knowledgable and obviously has a lot of experience. She creates a great atmosphere for the dogs to learn (it's a great big space). She has plenty of helpers there to ensure there are plenty of trainers for all the dogs in class.

We love Jodie and she has been extremely helpful with our three rotties. Especially the two that are over a year old and wasn't able to get into training as puppies due to covid. They have come a long way but still need a lot of work. Our younger one has been a dream in class though and she's done wonderful.

I took my dog here as a requirement for adopting a young dog from the Champaign County Humane Society. For my first class, I worked primarily with Florence. She is a wonderful, upbeat woman that really had a knack for working with dogs. She is so incredibly patient and was able to make my dog respond! I had a great experience with her.After taking another set of classes, this time with Jodie, I had different feelings. The class wasn't very structured and I felt like things were not progressing. My dog and I would sit there feeling like we were wasting time because we actually practiced outside of class. Maybe it was the class that was behind or we were ahead? Either way we lost the enjoyment of being in class.Next, we took therapy dog classes. After taking these classes I do not plan to return to Jodie Vees. I was not happy with the structure and execution of these classes.

Jodie's behavior is extremely unprofessional. Despite submitting the contact form on her website and making two phone calls and sending a text, she never returned my calls (I had been trying to find out when February training programs would be scheduled). By chance, I re-checked her website and the February-March schedule was up (and the program was already half full). Based on her lack of professional behavior and bad temper, I would never trust her judgment. It did not take much for her to lose it and start yelling. It makes me wonder how humane she is with her own pets and in her own interpersonal interactions and relationships. Unfortunately, there are few organized programs for puppy school and dog training in Cham-bana. I suggest you think twice about your options before committing. I feel certain that I would have wanted a refund on the $119 fee if I had stuck it out. By the way folks, Jodie says nothing much happens the first session of the level one program, so it's no big deal if you miss it - that's what she told me. Not a great value, nor a competent business person.

Excellent trainer! In just 6 weeks we had our very rambunctious puppy under control. We really liked the positive/treat based training. Highly recommend!
