I like the people who work here as they have been very helpful when I have a question. But, they have lost business from me when I can't find things because the isles are so small and they are busy. Also, they don't have demonstration sewing machines on the floor to try. The store desperately needs to be enlarged and updated.

Came in looking for foam to replace a couch cushion. We didn't see a tag on the item (other than a sale %).I found an associate, possibly a manager, and asked if she might be able to help. She turned and looked at me in disgust and said it cost whatever was on the tag. I explained that I didn't see a tag which is why I was asking. She huffed and quickly walked over to the spot, pulling the tag from the far back side of the rack (where the customer couldn't see it) and snarkily told me what was on the tag, then walked off. Not that it was going to be a big sale, but it ended up being no sale and I would t be returning.

None of the employees ever acknowledged that we were in the store. The employee at the register was wearing a winter coat. The fabric area of store was a total mess as seen in my posted pics. Many of the aisles were so narrow I had to turn sideways to walk thru them. The bolts of fabric were in total disarray, and sticking out further in the aisles. If you have ever been to the Treadle in Bloomington, you will know what it was like.

I came in looking for a specific fabric and they had more options than I even wanted! They sell everything related to fabric and fabric works, and some additional items like beads and a bit of fake flowers but mostly fabrics and materials related to making things with fabric (a la the name haha) fun store to walk around though and see everything.

Staff was great!! I think the young lady that helped us enjoyed talking to my son as much as they enjoyed talking to her. Cashier was also cute and friendly. We will be back for more crafting fun!

It's a decent store for your sewing craft needs. Not the best selection, but good enough. The prices are definitely a mixed bag, but not too bad.

HORRIBLE RETURN POLICY!!!!!!Bought a router cutter for use with cutting out fabric on clothing patterns, wasn't told you have to use with a hard cutting board, 1st time used it cut through a basic cardboard cutting board. A big plastic board is $100 for big enough to use with clothing fabric layouts! Tried to return & store wouldn't accept return - been opened & "couldn't resell" ----- hello, compare to Target, Walmart, Etc OR Amazon...All would have accepted the return..... won't buy anything similar at Joann EVER AGAIN!!!!!

I will say the store has a great selection but what ever you do, do not use the in store pickup. I have used it twice and both times they have been slow. I think it would have been faster to just go into the store and find it myself. The first time my wife placed an order at 10 in the morning. I went after I got off work at 4 and they didn't have it ready. That was fine because I understand that sometimes it gets busy. The last time we tried it was last night. We placed an order at 9:30. The store doesn't close until 10. We went to go pick it up at 6pm and they still didn't have it ready. Then when they went to pick it out they didn't have it in stock even though the website said they had 4. So I had to buy something more expensive that had less to it. When we got home tonight we found they had charged us for the order. I would highly recommend just walking in there yourself or take the time to have it shipped to store since it would be about the same time. I would just say go to Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

I am done shopping here. Constantly my local store refuses to let me use their coupons. Only reason I shop there is the coupons and rewards card. I do not get to use my rewards either. I have had them tell me my rewards did not work. I paid for the item myself and my rewards was also gone. Best part, they tell me the coupon won't work for a specific item.The coupon says that item is what it is for. I go online, coupon works there for the exact same item. Too much hassle. Other stores to shop at.

The employees are incredibly helpful with finding specific fabrics and items around, or just general questions. The store is huge with a limited number of employees, so one has to be a little patient, but I've never had any issues or complaints here.

My favorite place to be! I only wish it was a bigger store... like a Joann Superstore! Staff are always helpful. When a big sale is happening sometimes the checkout can be a bit slow, but I'm never in a hurry when I make my Joann supply run.

Had an issue with them and their coupon policy. Basically I got an email with my complaint saying we are sorry you dont understand our policy and said they could have someone sit on the phone with me and explain it like I'm stupid.They discount everything they dont want you to use the coupons on so it would apply. They charge ridiculous amounts for everything. Better to buy online. I've watched their price movements especially in correlation to their sales and read the fine print.

I needed 9 Skeins of yarn of a certain color, as I pulled them off the shelf there were only 6 so I started to put them back. An associate came to me Linda and told me she could order from the warehouse directly and have it sent to the store what I needed. I was so thankful because of this I am able to make the blanket that I wanted. Excellent customer service. Linda M. has helped advise me on Different fabrics, and help me with advice on how to put things together in the past. Great service.

Joanns has a good selection of supplies for all kinds of crafts and home decor. You can get very good prices if you watch for sales and use easy-to-get coupons. Sales people were friendly and I had minimal wait in line.Selecting fabric is a real chore, though. They have too much stock for the space. Bolts are jammed together on the shelf, or even left lying in piles on the floor.

If you need supplies for sewing and or fabric in Champaign-Urbana you will need this store. It's big and very well stocked. I'm a bit worried they are putting more emphasis on crafts. But so far you can still buy 100 types of buttons, and 25 kinds of scissors Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Not overly friendly, but not to a degree that you fell unwelcome.

I love Joann. They have great options for all kind of crafts. Especially buttons! But it is a little bit pricey. That's why sometimes I prefer to buy my yarns at other stores.

I shop here all the time, and of course I need to but I will say it's always crowded with narrow aisles. the clearance bins rarely have The product marked properly and most of the time there is a wait in line.

Come in get what you need and wait. Whomever the female manager was that I asked if anyone could help the fabric counter was so rude, had I been her boss I would've fired her. Rarely go in only because I can't wait in line twice over an hour lunch break.

Helpful and friendly staff. My first time at a fabric store for headliner material. The only width they keep in stock is 54". My old Tahoe requires at least 60" wide material. They were very helpful and didn't give me any grief when I returned it. I'm surprised they don't get enough requests for wider material. They told me they didn't even have a way to special order wider stuff.

Excellent help during cutting and assistance with fabric. During checkout, coupons did not correctly post and incorrect price used. Overcharged, this is 2nd visit in a row that this has occurred.

The hardest thing is the cramped, stacked, high fabric aisles and trying to find the fabric you want. It's claustrophobic and not a user friendly fabric department. They have minimized the fabric and maximized all the crap they sell. Such a disappointment. I dread going there and now it's almost the only option with Hancock's closed. They could do better with a different floor plan. Without the coupons they mail out it is not even worth sewing anymore, fabric prices are sky high. I only buy with a coupon. And even with that the rules are so sketchy it's hard to really get what you want with them.

I never get good service here. I just called to see if they carry an item in the store. They were able to tell me they did but unwilling to go and see if they had any in stock. They manage to waste my time even over the phone. Getting what i need at Michaels.

When ever I go, I am able to find what I need. The workers are friendly and helpful. I love the sales and they sale items for all occasions.
