Incredible selection makes this a great place for anyone! I saw their post on Facebook about the new items they had. This place always has something new and at descent prices. Super nice staff!! They are helping build homes in the community.

Used to be my favorite thrift store in town, but it's gone way downhill since moving to the new location. Hours are terrible every day except Tuesday, and they always start very rudely and aggressively kicking people out/turning people away 10 or 15 minutes before they close. Selection has gone down and prices have gone up.

I used to love going this habitat as collector of vintage things, mainly vintage ceiling fans and other vintage lighting.. ever since they moved they got extrememly picky about what they accept, and no longer accept basically any of the vintage things that me and others went for... this habitat is basically a goodwill at this point... also some of the staff were pretty rude..

I used to absolutely love coming to the ReStore when it was in the old location on University Avenue. I stopped by nearly every single day. I have been extremely disappointed as of late and it just breaks my heart to leave this review.Just to be completely clear, this review is based off of me going to the ReStore consistently over the last several months (I did not visit just once and leave).First of all, the community is a university town, made up of a huge population of students, many of whom do not drive and who lived close to the old ReStore that was just outside of Campustown. These are the people who really need the used items in the store and it was a convenient drop-off location for donations because it was in the main center of the community. It is now out in the middle of pretty much nowhere and an inconvenience to get to by car. Even if people were able to take the bus, there is no way to transport furniture back. I really, really miss the old location. I feel like this new location out in the middle of nowhere is why they are seemingly low on inventory - it's a pain to go all the way out there for donation drop-ff or shopping. Not to mention the gas prices recently ...Second, I have noticed that the quality of the furniture and items have gone sharply downhill since the Restore moved to its new location. There used to be an entire floor of housewares and now it is very much restricted to one small area on the floor. I got some wonderful items in there a few years ago and I just don't see the same quality. Some of the furniture has been really scratched up beyond repair and would take a professional refinishing job to "restore" ... it just seems like there's nothing on the floor anymore to buy, despite there being a million items in the 'storage' back room just sitting there in plain sight yet out of reach to buyers.Again, I'm sorry to have to leave this review, as I found so many interesting and quality items in there just a few years ago but now, it seems that everything has changed. I sincerely hope that it gets better.

I love this place! I almost dont want to tell people about it so that I can keep getting all the great deals myself lol. Basically furnished my whole apartment for less than $200 by shopping here. Highly recommend if you're on a budget and dont mind buying used. The furniture can sometimes be a little dirty, but with a carpet cleaner and a little elbow grease I was able to make it look great! Most stuff just needs a little spot cleaner though. Got this hot cocoa maker for $1.50 and still in the box!!

Yikes. This place used to be a great place for low-income individuals to get fairly priced used furniture. Now it’s pricing old, stained couches (that they received as free donations) for $400-$700. I can go to a literal furniture store and buy a new sofa for that price. Why run a nonprofit charity if you care more about exploring the working class out of their money than making sure used furniture finds a good home accessibly? Seems they lost their mission.

Found the chairs I was looking for. Ran into a friend, also. Helpful, friendly staff.

A miserable and depressing shopping experience since the store moved to new location. Mostly rude and unhelpful staff and management on multiple occasions going there. Some quality items but I don’t recommend shopping there until the staff learn customer service skills or are replaced. As a result of these experiences, the Champaign Restore doesn’t seem to appreciate its customers, and by default they don’t appreciate the community. I recommend donating your money to Salt and Light in Urbana where the community seems to actually be appreciated and you are not made to feel like a burden to the staff.

Great organization and nice selection. Unfortunately when I went to check out the employee was not able to deal with the 15 loose tiles I had picked up from a pile of nearly empty, mixed up boxes. I also had one tile sheet missing about half of its tiles. The cashier said there was a minimum cost of 50 cents for anything and he started even counting the individual tiles in the broken sheet. He ultimately got to over $15 and was still adding up broken tiles when I told him to stop because it was getting very much too expensive for what I was getting (17 loose tiles and the broken sheet). He didn't care at all. It was a lose-lose situation.

Always a good time looking through the furniture and home materials. Good place to go to find cheap paints, tools, electrical components, and general house stuff. Bought three great chairs for $4 each the last time I visited. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Fantastic group of people who work here. There's always a good deal to be found and this new location makes it even easier to find things and is more accessible

Used coffee pot? $45.Used toaster oven? $55.Very used couch? $350.If you want a beat up flip phone for $10, a rusted drywall knife for $8 (same price as new at Menards), a gallon of driveway cleaner for $8 (more than it costs new), or a 15 year old plasma TV for $1000 (yes, seriously. $1000 for a tv that you can buy brand new for under $400 now) then come to Habitat.I get that it's raising money for a good cause, but these are seriously insane prices, I can't believe they ever sell anything. Don't waste your time.

Some of their furniture is nice if you have hundreds of dollars to spend. Other pieces are very noticeably damaged and still priced at $60+. Their kitchenware section is sad...a lot of chipped, rusted, very used stuff and Dollar Tree utensils priced at $3. I did find some plastic cups priced at 10cents and tried buying them but the cashier got mad and yelled "WE DONT SELL THINGS FOR 10CENTS! I DONT KNOW WHO PRICED THESE!" Getting angry at customers for your own mistakes is no way to run a business, especially one with such a good mission. If you're looking for more reasonably priced items and friendly staff go to Salt & Light Ministries.

I support Habitats all over the country. Great work, and great people. I bought a couple of old records and a small table from Champaign. Keep passing on the good to people who need it.

I visited this place years ago looking for sewing patterns I left in tears because I was tracked as a shoplifter. Fast forward to Saturday July 24, 2021, I had forgotten about the treatment years ago. We are volunteering to help a 94 year old lady Clean her home up and money is Scarce… This place had so many Wonderful items that we needed, such as kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity, replacement Windows. The Prices were so low I had to put my dollar tree readers on to believe what I was seeing. The cashier was more than kind. One of the floor personnel I will simply give them the benefit of the doubt. I am going back today.

This store is great. It's like a Home Depot of donated goods. There is tons of hardware and raw material as well as appliances and lighting. The selection can be a bit sparse, but the prices are amazing. If you find something you like, it's hard to pass it up. .

This facility had some nice furniture with some great prices but some high as well. Found some other items that were great buys. There was 1 gentleman that was very friendly and helpful but the 2 other employees dealt with not so much!

Great place to do volunteer work. The staff are really nice and they teach you everything so that you don't stress out or get hurt. It also looks like a great place to buy furnitures because I see so many returning customers wandering on the floor. This is a nonprofit organization so if u buy stuff there or volunteer there, you are actually helping people to build their own home, which is a good deed.

Some absolutely great deals, especially after the price is reduced because the item has been sitting around for a few weeks. However, some items (e.g. cinder blocks) are priced above the going retail rate elsewhere in town, so buyer beware.

Used to be a great place to find quality materials, home goods, and tools for low prices. Selection is still okay (depends on when you go) but prices have increased significantly from a few years ago when I discovered this place. Be sure to check the price of a new item online when considering a purchase here. You may find, as I did, that a new and better product is cheaper elsewhere.

Always find something great here. Typically, they frequently refresh their stock. They also have great sales, since the price goes down for every week an item doesn't sell. Three stories of shopping, never too busy, lots of great finds. What you'll find: decorative (art, lamps, knick knacks, baskets, etc.), home goods (lots of furniture, kitchen supplies, etc.), media, or building/diy supplies (paint, wood, bathroom fixtures, sinks, cabinets, etc.). Favorite second hand shop, hands down.

It's a nice place to buy some used furniture and appliances. Don't expect to get no help from the guys out on the dock to loadi your things in you vehicle unless to have some cash. They're so petty, thirsty and have no care in the world for elders or the disabled. 👎🏾

Fun place for treasure hunting. You never know what you will find. I have discovered some wonderful memorabilia items, as well as find crystal glasses for $0.50 a piece. I love to look amongst the old cookbooks. It is also a wonderful place to drop off your unwanted items.

Always finding cheap treasures or garbage to take home. But at the amazing prices they offer you can't go wrong. Just call me a hoarder. I have always found spare construction pieces I need.

This can be a great place to find decent stuff for great prices. However the staff is not as great to deal with. I bought an item today that still had the retail price sticker on it from walmWal and they were selling it for the same exact price. Now In the very front of store above the cash register is a large poster with their store's policies on it. The first one is how they price things. It says exactly, they start off their prices at 50% below retail value. I mentioned this discrepancy to the cashier, and she very rudely informed me that I was already getting it for a good deal and refused to honnor their own policy. Mind you this item was very obviously used and absolutely filty. If i wasn't so excited for how happy this item was going to make my daughter once I got it cleaned up I would have made a bigger deal about her attitude and the lack of curiosity to honnor your own store's policy.

They have a decent selection of tables, cabinets and lounge furniture, but there is a glaring lack of desks. Other then that the pick up and drop off space in the back is kinda small and is apparently a two way traffic zone which can lead to some cramped driving interactions.

Only open for 4 hours a day a few days a week? Must be making a killing off of their sales if they don’t have to be open more than 16 hours a week. Won’t waste my time driving over ever again. What a joke.

I've bought pretty much all of my furniture here. Theres almost a wonderful selection of furniture and even better prices. The people working there also seem like they try their best to help however they can.
