FIM is possibly the cleanest and neatest Asian store we have visited among various states. While it is not the largest store we have seen, the selection and variety of the products are well-balanced and adequate. The vegetable choices are pretty good, and the prices are reasonable. We did not see many fruit varieties there, but it did not bother us much. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would be happy to be a regular patron.I am rating this 4.5 stars, but since there is no between scores, I am rating it 5 stars, because the small shortfall shouldn't warrant one star discount that may affect their overall ratings.How I rate:-1-2 stars - Businesses/professionals that do not meet the minimum standard of service.3 stars - Businesses/professionals that meet the minimum standard of care/service and nothing more; or when they try to compensate for the lack of service by being really nice.4 stars - Businesses/professionals that take extra effort to be friendly and meet the minimum expected standard.5 stars - Exemplary service/products and customer service/care.

Well organized store for many east asian tastes. They have all kitchen groceries for Far East to western kitchens. I checked mostly vegetables, they have plenty of varieties. Fresh tinder coconuts, hirekai, and other vegetables. All frozen ocean foods. And many other things people like them. Over all it is a must go store and one stop for all kitchen food preps.

The cashier was just rude. I know ur getting minimum wage but if ur not happy with it. Go work somewhere else, items are just overpriced. I get that ppl don’t have a lot of alternatives here but it shouldn’t be the reason for pricing everything at this ridiculous price

Lots of variety and a lot to choose from. Pretty big Asian market. Things are pretty fresh and if you go early enough in the morning, it isn’t too crowded so it makes for good shopping. The fresh produce section is a little limited though!

The International Market does not seem to offer food or groceries from the Indian subcontinent. Perhaps the individual who named the store was not aware of this when naming it "International Market." Or maybe they believe that "International Market" applies only to Chinese or Korean food.

I bought two bags of rice at the store. I noticed that both bags had cancer warnings printed at the bottom when I came home. When I called the store and asked if I could return the product, an employee told me that all products cause cancer and my purchase was not returnable.

This place is amazing, ever wanted to get the same ingredients as the Chinese asian restaurant have? Then look no further this place has everything you can think of from live fish and crab and so much more. Very well maintained and clean.

Came in at 8:45 PM expecting to be able to purchase a single item (hot pot broth) as the store says they close at 9:00 PM. A good handful of shoppers were still in the store at this time. Instead a hispanic cashier’s mom (lady did not look like she works there) starts yelling at me to”Get OUT”. I explained that I was just getting 1 item but she continued to give me attitude. I have had other negative experiences with some of the cashiers here but none this wild or bizarre. It seems like this establishment is uninterested in both their customers and selling their product.

My daughter loves it here. I love the selection of products and the store overall but staff really make me feel uncomfortable. They look at us like we have no business in their store but my daughter loves Asian culture (my entire family really) and taught herself Japanese and plans to travel to Japan after she graduates college. She's learned a lot of recipes as well and as long as she loves it there I'll be right there with her. Again, really love the selection especially the teas.

The best Asian market in CU area. They have a great selection of snacks, spices, produce, and more. However, remember to CHECK for the expiration date! I've seen quite a few expired products on the shelf.

Absolutely the best international food market in town. I can find just about every thing I need here for almost any Asian dish I want to make, and the folks I’ve talked to here are happy to help me understand what I need and why. It’s a great place to learn and understand another culture through their cooking.

Lovely shop just outside of the UIUC campus with a variety of Asian vegetables, snacks, desserts, pastries and much more. The only thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars is how often the things on the shelves have gone months past their Best Before date.

This place is so impressive! The food is so fresh, the store itself is very clean and well stocked, and the price point is great.FIM gives a nice shopping experience that is not overwhelming. Aisles are large with plenty of space, the music is kept at a nice volume, and the lighting isn't too intense. Everything is within easy reach, and the general flow of the store is really good.

Good collection of asian goods. A few downsides:-Pretty much everything is expensive, like at least 1.5 times the price at other stores-No self checkout and most cashiers are rude-ish. Checking out is almost never pleasant.-If you have a debit card and don't remember your pin, the machine won’t let you bypass it and check out (like in China)

Awesome selection of any and all things international! I particularly like this location because it is more spacious and clearly marked than some of the other international markets on town. I love the frozen fish balls that you can mix and match (I used them for hot pot)! Haven't tried their buffet/take out food but it looks decent and very convenient.

I was just passing by from up north going south and wanted to check out some Asian store in the area. A really clean and neat store with fresh produce and they have quiet a variety to choose from. They mostly carry a lot of Korean products so if you are expecting for more varieties of other Asian goods, then, it is limited. Over all I'd you are looking for Korean goods/foods, this place almost got it all.

I love this place I really do. But I went today to get groceries and the cashier that checked me and my friend out, Yessica M. Was super rude. I asked if she could fix a deal I was supposed to get on my receipt but just walked over and said yeah and then didn’t fix it. If i was wrong I don’t care she couldve just corrected me. Was super passive aggressive. My friend said she’s had issues with her before. Sucks cause I love this place but it is what it is

Shopped here for some food for a friend gathering for its reputation of relatively clean food among asian markets in Champaign. All four people got diarrhea after consuming the food. I believe the market should be investigated for food safety.

Today, I went to the market to buy some groceries. When I checked out, the cashier Yessica M. gave me and my gf really bad attitude with a bad b**** face. I asked to scan my reward card, she rolled her eyes on me and refused to communicate with me with words during the checking process. When we were done, she forced us to leave immediately and started to check in the next person, when we did not have much time to pick up and check our groceries. We found out that our receipt was missing, we went back to her. She looked at me and ignored me until another employee came by and ask me if I needed any help. I said I didn't get my receipt and immediately that bad cashier replied: you shouldn't walk away! I was very shocked becuase she was the one forced us away without giving us the receipt and scan the next customer. This is a extremely bad experience and I am deeply concerned about the customer service.

Lots of good finds. The restaurant has great food and service. The deli has many food options as well. Not too expensive either. Very clean and all the workers are attentive and nice. There are also some miscellaneous items near the check out stands. These include some Asian beauty items, cooking utensils (chopsticks, basket steamers, tea sets, silverware sets, etc.), and lots of cute pens, stickers, pencil cases, and pencils!
