I don’t usually feel compelled to leave a review anywhere but this was such a wonderful experience. I brought my puppy to the bark district and he loved it!… so did I. Everyone was so friendly i ended up staying way longer than I planned. We spent 2 whole hours there. I met some wonderful people and he befriended some wonderful pups an amazing clean community for pets and their people ❤️

As beautiful as this dog park is, it is not for someone traveling with there dogs. You need to be registered as a member to enter the facility. I completely understand why and don't have any issue with their rules. Just my experience was uneventful.Playground: Fur your pupsRestrooms: Porto pottyDog-friendliness: Must be a member, which most likely requires spay and neuter along with current vaccinations

This is a great place to bring your dogs to. There is an open field doe them to run in and a separate place that's enclosed and it has activities such as tunnels and other things for them to play on. Great place and worth the money to have a safe environment for your pet to play in. Most other dogs are very well trained to be around your dogs as well very rarely see a problem there.

it is a members only park, so if you live in the CU area, you can get a membership for this, its $41 per dog, $10 for each fob. you can also get a Urbana dog park fob for $10 if you have a Champaign dog park membership.this park is surprisingly big and there's a lot of room for my dog to run around! the dogs here are usually very well behaved, and its a great place for my dog to socalize with others. it does get muddy, especially near the entrance, and some people don't realize they have to pick up after their dogs, but overall its a great place to bring my dog.

This is the best place to have your dog work out all of their extra energy, socialize with different types of dogs, and is quite relaxing for people as well. The park is very well maintained and there are usually a few other dogs there. All of the owners care deeply about their dogs and are willing to help break up the very rare fight.

This is a great open space with separate areas for large and small dogs. There are trees and picnic tables for shaded areas, and water fountains that are accessible to the dogs.

Great dog park. The large dog area is big enough for the pooches to run and play, but small enough that you can keep an eye on them at all times. There used to be an issue with mud around the entrance, it appears that has been resolved. After rain, the gravel parking lot has lots of muddy puddles, which the dogs track into the car. I like this park better than the Urbana dog park because Urbana's has several, major mud holes. I got tired of having to bathe the dogs every time we went there.

You have to have a membership, and although I have paid for it in the roughly 2 months i have had it, my key fob didn't work 2 times when it should have. It was after the park district was closed so had to wait until the next day to get it resolved. The water fountains are good for the dogs but as a person I wouldn't drink the water, and in general most people pick up after their dogs. Generally owners seem responsible and respectful. The park is big enough for dogs to really run, or as the owner you can walk the perimeter to get some exercise. There really isn't any agility equipment for the dogs which is disappointing. When the wind is from the wrong direction the park smells from the water treatment facility which is adjacent. There is only one portapotty to use if the need arises. During busy times there may not be enough parking. I have travelled many places and there are very few that have memberships for their dog parks. I can't say that this park is any better run, has better features, or has more respectful owners than dog parks which are free to use. Considering the taxes one pays in Champaign it is a scam to extract even more money from dog owners, when the bare minimum is provided. No one would feel it is appropriate to charge parents a fee to use parks with their children but somehow charging dog owners to use one park in the entire city next to a water treatment facility is a good thing.

I much prefer the park on Windsor over the one in Urbana. Very open land, and seemingly friendlier dogs and people. And I heard that the city is adding a water section to it! I recommend it to any new dog parent in the area. Love it!

A quick jaunt to the dog park is the only guaranteed method to get my 5-month old puppy tired enough to let me finish a graduate assignment in peace. SERIOUSLY - this dog park is clean and vast, so you can feel good about letting your dog run around. The people and dogs are friendly, and this place has become a staple in our routine.

This is by far the best dog park I have been to. Well maintained, huge space, nice grass, polite patrons. First time been to the area - I guess UIUC is a good school with a good dog park.

Love this local gem. Huge place for dogs to run and socialize. Area for all size dogs as well as an area for smaller breeds. Dogs are awesome and people are friendly. Make sure to get your key fob with CU park district to get membership and entry

Beautiful dog park, we were traveling through and stopped to let the dogs stretch out. Unfortunately it was a members only park, which I completely understood, so we just walked around the outside the fence. I would have gladly paid a one time visitor fee but that wasn’t an option.

Dog park requires membership and does not have an option for a daily payment. We were traveling through, hoping to let our dogs run a bit. We were able to enjoy the parking lot.

Dog loved it. It's a very nice set up for small and large dogs. While the park is nice we had a bad experience with a man by the entrance who's dog almost seemed trained to haras other dogs and corral them, kind of like a sheep dog corralling other dogs only to get them out of the entrance. Be careful.

We were traveling and usually find a nice dog park to let them enjoy being out of the car. We usually give them an hour or two before we head to the hotel. We sadly were not allowed to use the park as you had to be a member! We have lived in many states and travel a great deal, never have we ever seen a dog park were you have to have a private membership. They don't offer a price for a one time visit and it is not mentioned in maps that this park is private. We would have liked to have known to avoid this place. It is interesting that usually dog owners are friendly, having their dogs in common but there was only one person there in a huge area. It really was just strange.

It looked nice, with separate small dog and all dog areas. Alas, it is members only. No grass smelling for weary dog travelers. Keycard access only. We never got inside.

Champaign and Urbana dog parks are membership only. People visiting this area are not welcome. These are the only lock controlled dog parks I have encountered in 90 days of driving around the country.Pathetic really.I suspect the wealthier folks in this community are also keeping out their less affluent neighbors. A dog park for the “better sort” of people.

This has to be a joke. Recently just moved to Champaign from Chicago, I have never seen all the dog parks in the area be members only. I call and the operator told me about $50 ish dollar for membership and key fob. Well that may be a couple of pennies to some but to a person like me saving to buy a house it like ouch do we really need that membership. And now I feel bad because I can't afford the dog park. I'm going to buy it because we are living in a studio and my dog needs to run around.

Really impressed. We're just in town for the weekend but joined as guests to get the dogs running around. It's a very neat field, not huge but plenty of room for them to run and chase things, or have a multi-dog chase around. We've got two happy dogs now and that makes lunch much easier for us.

Membership and key fob required for entry! Though nothing on the name or Google maps tells you this, or indicated a required membership, so it's just a waste of time when you're traveling. It would be helpful if these places indicated a membership requirement or said anything about it so travelers don't waste time and energy only to have to go find another, less snooty place for their fur babies to walk and take a potty break. I feel it is especially deceitful when they use a "bark" name as the Bark parks are a national PUBLIC dog park chain. And it's also deceitful since it's right next to a tailor park and said nothing about it being restricted to the gated community residents, that live up the street.

Great place to take your pup! We've been going for years and have never had an issue other dogs (or owners). Park staff keep the place looking good. And there are potty bags and water services in the park. Pro tip: in the winter they have to shut off the water but there is the well near the parking lot. You can get your water there and even give a shower if so inclined. Tennis balls are plentiful if you forgot yours at home.

Between the first and second visits there, the mounting hasp on the small dogs area entrance gate was repaired, but the latch to keep it closed was removed! I hope there are plans to replace that latch soon as my dog immediately took advantage of that and pushed through the gate into the main entry way.Restrooms: There's a port-o-potty next to the parking lot.Dog-friendliness: Friendly dogs, friendly people.

Don't visit after a heavy rainfall. Other than that, my dog and I love this place. There is a section reserved for small dogs. There are drinking fountains in both parts, and there is a station outside if you need to hose your pup down. They are almost always well-stocked with poop bags. There is one porta-potty on site. My little guy is a runner, and this place is perfect for that.

My baby loves it here. Nice and big, could use more shade, but for the most part it's a great place.

A great place to take your social dog! There are two sections, one for large dogs and one for small dogs below 25 lbs. Both sections are flat and more than enough space. There are lots of regulars who take their dogs here daily. $35 a year is a fair price especially as they provide bags, tennis balls, and landscaping.

Unless you go to the website, this location says nothing about being membership access only like the other dog park in town. It looked really nice but we couldn't get in, not even get a day pass like most city-owned dog parks.
