Located right on a street next to different restaurants. This place has a cozy and bright atmosphere where students would come and study at as well.The server where you order at was super nice and friendly. He was so helpful when I was ordering, and made sure that the customizations I made is understood by the staff who were making my bowl and drink.The açaí was nice and refreshing, and the coffee was delicious (perfect sweetness).Overall, I definitely recommend this coffee shop and will come back again.

Went here recently - it was packed! We had a hard time getting a seat, lots of students that study here—especially on weekends! Finally got a seat and had a nice lunch.Ordered the Ham & Egg Sandwich, and for $8, it was HUGE! The sandwich was also delicious, ham was present, eggs were cooked perfectly, and the toppings also made the sandwich that much better.Service and atmosphere are both nice as well. Will be back for sure!

The management in completely unempathetic.I have limited access to University property due to having severe PTSD.I started coming to cafe bene to meet new friends and do my work since I have limited access to campus. Oftentimes, I would invite a friend over so that we could hang out together, and they would buy coffee from cafe bene,But, the management kicked me out of cafe bene stating that someone wrote a review on Google that I sit in cafe bene for too long and don't buy coffee. (I don't drink coffee, so I would just get water).Literally, a few minutes before I got removed from the cafe, I was thinking about texting someone if they wanted to hang out here later this week.I now no longer invite my friends to go to cafe bene. I tell them to go elsewhere.

Love the mocha and the cinnamon rolls. Also, the atmosphere is nice when it's not super crowded. They should check some of the chairs I saw a couple of them with the legs damaged.

Had heard a lot of good things about Caffe Bene and after a long wait, a sudden phone call from a friend helped me pave my way to this cafe. Tried the Tiramisu there and hands down, it was amongst one of the best Tiramisu’s I have had. Perfect creaminess and cocoa level. The ambience of this place is amazing, may be to hang out or get some work done. Looking forward to explore more options at this cafe.

They were very nice. I got their yogurt smoothie a few months ago and it was very refreshing. Tangy and not overwhelmingly sweet! I just ordered it again and it was less tangy than I remember but they happily remade it and even let me compare the versions with only yogurt powder, and with added vanilla yogurt (which was what made it tangy). It was indeed the vanilla yogurt that made it so good, highly recommend!

It wasn't busy. Ordered few drinks, bowl, and a sandwich. Everything except sandwich came out. After 15 min I asked and he said he'd bring it out. 30 min no sandwich and I asked again. Same response. Then bit later I ask again. Person at register asked other what was up and they said "I think she's making it now, do you want to wait"?" No, it's been 40 minutes already, just give me a refund. They just didn't care. And I'm still hungry.

I wish I lived near this place! I got the New York Cheesecake as well as the Taro Bubble Tea Smoothie, both were absolutely amazing! I've never had better boba. My friend also got the Hot Chocolate and a Mr.Chefs Cheese Cake, they also enjoy their food lots, and agree this place is amazing! Not to mention, the food came out quickly and we only had to wait a minute or two! The place itself is also a very calming nice place to relax or study, the aesthetic of its interior is also easy on the eyes and nice to look at! I would most definately reccommend this place for hanging out with friends or studying/reading.

After my transaction was complete, I attempted to say thank you. I thought it would be kind to ask this person their name. They ignored my question. I do not appreciate people that are kind until the transaction is made and then…choose not to treat others with the courtesy of being straight forward. I believe this person has the option to say that they prefer avoid communicating their name at work. To actively choose to ignore seemed quite rude to me.I find this judgement come when people feel like I have ill intentions. I feel like people do not realise I am legally blind. I am simply attempting to be friendly.The person behind the register added a 15% tip on my behalf. I plan to communicate with my credit card company to cancel the tip portion of the transaction. It seemed clear they were kind until they got the tip.FYI, I have written 18 reviews on Google Maps. This is the first time I have given a 1 star rating.

Damn good place for coffee and sit down. Had a really good mocha coffee, immediately perfect temperature for drinking when it was served. The cheese cake was really good too. Highly recommend if you're looking to chill, have some nice sweets, and enjoy coffee on a rainy day.

This is one of the best coffee places in Urbana, with an extremely courteous and friendly staff. They serve a coffee latte that is out of the world, internet friendly, reasonably priced and a very informal ambience. Will visit it everyday I happen to be here.

Great spot and a good variety of comfortable spots to sit in. I particularly like the tiny booths since they’re perfect for working or studying when alone, and they’re in the far back of the cafe. The food and drinks and cleanliness are fantastic, and the service is great too! The ambience is great for studying or for talking with friends, and I’ve had many small meetings here to take care of business. The honey bread is scrumptious; I think the cinnamon one is my favorite (although I can’t pin the name down; you’ll have to find out which one it is yourself!).

Great spot for good coffee, cozy seating and good vibes. Loved the Cafe Saigon, a condensed milk-based coffee and the Portabella sandwich. Opens early for a quick start to the day and has an abundance of seating options for students, visitors, families, etc.

I walked into the store at 20:30, December 19th. There was only one guy working at the counter. And when I tried to order some stuff, he was busy with the ordering screen and yelled at me “wait a second, could YOU WAIT A SECOND?” with a loud voice and angry face. There was no other customer before or after me, and I was doing nothing except trying to get my order placed. I don’t know why he was so angry at me. I’ve came to Bene for more than 20 times since September and I really love the bubble tea and honey bread, but I’ve never been treated like this before.

After trying several food items and drinks, I have to say this is amazing. The prices are affordable, the atmosphere is very calm, the staff is super nice and the place is spotless. I recommend their misugaru latte and spicy chicken sandwich. This is a must-visit location. (This review was written while school wasn't in session)

Drinks and food are decent, but SO overpriced sometimes. Paid literally $5 for a frappe made with powder and ice and they said whipped cream is EXTRA/an up-charge. Whipped cream????? Starbucks is cheaper and includes whipped cream. 😅

Friendly staff. The place has a great atmosphere to study or to chat with friends over a great selection of unique coffee and tea flavors. I go at least twice a week for their gelatos, cheesecake, and bread selection.

comfy place to do studying or writing essays. However, coffee price is pricy, which is expected from a medium to high-tier coffee. Really nice place to hang out with friends on , or just to do work alone. I dont think they have a limit on how long you can stay, but just be considerate if you see the place seems to be full and crowded.

Really neat little place. Was not expecting to find bubble tea in this area and was pleasantly surprised. Had a matcha latte with tapioca bubbles and it was wonderful.I didn't have anything to eat but the food looked delicious too.

The bingsu is terrible. The ice is huge and barely eatable with the strawberry jam and ice cream. It was basically inedible. And for $15? never going back here
