EDITED FROM 5-STAR to 1-STAR: In the last 5 months I have had to dump 25% of the car's value into this truck to get it safe to drive. It has been one problem after another. I am absolutely sick about the money hole this has become.I have nothing but good things to say about Autotown. Purchasing a 10-year-old truck sight unseen requires a lot of trust in a dealership to be as transparent as possible. After reading the reviews on Autotown, I decided to take a chance and initiate the purchase. They were very upfront and honest about the issues that the truck had, and I knew exactly what I was getting when it finally arrived in my driveway a week or so later. Mike was great to work with and didn't put off the "used car salesman" vibe. I would not hesitate to buy a used car or truck from Autotown if you're in the market.

I can't say enough about this dealer. My daughter needed a new(used) car quickly - she's a senior at U of I and the plan was for her to purchase after she graduated this spring, but major issues with her current car changed our plans, and we needed to get a reliable, safe vehicle within a day because she works full time. We looked online and found a fantastic Ford Edge here, with low miles, a great price, and a clean Carfax. I live 2 hours away and with this being my daughter's first "big girl purchase" with financing, I really wanted to be there with her, but needed a day to rearrange things at my job. So I called this dealer....they are AMAZING. They not only held this truck for us for 36 hours until I could get down there to meet with her, they did all the prep work for the financing remotely with us via email and phone calls. Ben went above and beyond what any dealer I've ever dealt with has done! He obtained her financing thru the U of I Credit Union, called me with the exact numbers with her down payment, loan terms, and monthly payments (no playing games like every other dealer I've ever dealt with does - this was all up front and no hidden anything), and had all the paperwork ready when we walked in the door the next day (bonus that he has the most ADORABLE dog ever who greeted us at the door!!). He explained to my daughter what each paper she signed was about, "teaching" her about financing a car. Between the test drive and paperwork, we were in and out within an hour. I can't overstate how incredibly impressed we are with this business and especially Ben! Thank you for everything!!!

Was in an accident in OctoberI went to several lots, before Auto TownI liked their selection.I found a Kia Sorento for a good price, did a test drive, and bought itI had a couple problems, brought it back a week in.Super nice, and helped remedy the problem quickly.A month in however the battery was acting strange. Not holding a charge, car would die and need jumping.I was skeptical about any help as it was a month in.You always hear about used car sales being a negative..Not hereBrought it to their attention, they contacted me immediately. I brought it in, had it back next day.So if you're looking for a used car, and you want to know whatever you choose, is a good deal from a company that stands by it, Autotown should be on your list.

My wife and I had been shopping for a new SUV and I thought that I had made my choice until I passed the deal and saw this beautiful SUV. Black on black Infiniti qx80! We went home and then decided to go back and just look. Mike gave us the time to look and then approached us. He was amazing! He put a plate on and said take a test drive. He asked, didn’t assume, but asked if he could appraise our vehicle while we were gone and I said sure. When we got back we knew that this was what we wanted. He appraised our trade and we weren’t upside down. We had messed up credit but I have very good income, so he recommended another lender. Within a few hours we were approved and 3 days later we got our Infiniti! This is the BEST experience I e ever had. If you need a car go to Autotown I promise you will NOT be disappointed!

Let me start by saying I live in Florida and had been looking for a specific truck for many weeks. I found the one I wanted at Autotown. When I initially called, I spoke with Maloy. He was SO friendly that I thought, “Oh, this guy’s laying the sales pitch on thick and heavy”. But, he was nothing like that. Maloy was kind, understanding, and did everything it took to make a deal on a truck with a trade in from 976 miles away. Every other experience I’ve had with car dealers has been dreadful but dealing with Autotown was anything but. We made the deal from afar and he sent photos, videos and stayed in contact with me throughout the process. When I arrived, I was in and out with my new truck in under an hour and that even included them grilling me a steak sandwich, which was amazing. All the guys that work there are unbelievably friendly and straight shooters. If they tell you something, take it to the bank. You will be happy you dealt with Autotown if you are lucky enough to find the vehicle you want at their place.

Amazing dealership, walking in, you feel very relaxed and welcome. This is a smaller dealership, but a lot more willing to work with you and at A LOT MORE fair of a rate. We test drive 3 different cars and the dealers were very transparent about anything going on with each vehicle. They made the process very fast and also helped us save. A great part of the experience is the shop dog, giving good luck that you get approved, which was very fast and simple. I'd definitely go back if I needed another car.

Ben and Mike are extremely laid back easy to deal with, and their selection of cars are all extremely nice. My wife and I have bought a few different vehicles from here and we have never had a bad experience. If you are looking for a used car I highly recommend!!!

Received a friendly welcome as soon as I walked in the door. Guys were easy to talk to and the whole experience was very low-pressure. I was able to do a test drive without a hassle and they took time to answer questions. I did not end up buying a car but will definitely feel comfortable going back to look again.

Purchased a 2007 BMW, I live outside of Saint Louis. The car has just over 44000 miles, and a salesman named Maloy there was working with me. He told me repeditevley the car was perfect, no issues. I drove 3.5 hours to show up to Brake/DTC/ABS lights on... So i shut the car off and restarted the car, they did not come back on. So I went for a quick 5 minute test drive down the street to tesrt everything and make sure it works correctly. Which it does, so I went back to the dealer and mentioned it to the owner Ben about how the lights had popped on and gone away... We proceeded with the deal as the lights had gone away. I then drove down to mcdonalds down the street, no lights. After eating I get on to Highway 74 and go about 2 miles down the highway and the lights all come back on. So i went and sent Maloy a message about how we can resolve this issue. As of this morning they send me a message that "Neither the owner or myself believe we are liable for anything." I DO NOT recommend buying a car from these guys, they do not take care of there customers.

I bought a Nissan Murano from Autotown about a month ago. I was looking for a very specific type of SUV when I found mine. I live in Missouri about 3 1/2 hours from Autotown. I had never bought a vehicle out of state and the fact that it was a small dealership concerned me a little but the car was EXACTLY what I was looking for and marked at a great price so I made the call. I had phone conversations with Mike, Maloy, and Ben before ever making the 3 1/2 hour drive. All three of those guys were super accomadating and easy to talk to. They made the whole process so easy on me and were just as nice in person. It's been a little over a month and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. My car is perfect for me and runs like it's brand new. I would recommend Autotown to anyone!!

I’ve never bought a car from a dealership until a couple days ago at this place. They were incredibly helpful and very thorough at explaining the whole purchasing process for me and they even had really good deals on their products. Aside from the business stand point though, they were also very friendly and not the stereotypical type of friendly that you would expect from a salesman. It was like hanging out with friends which just made the whole experience that much less stressful. I live 2.5 hours away from this dealership and will be going there for my next purchase no doubt. Oh also they have a shop dog who loves customers. All around best dealership experience you could ask for.

We had been looking for a specific make, model and year vehicle for our son for 6 months. Ironically, this was definitely a very pleasant experience for us. The vehicle was exceptionally sound and clean aesthetically and mechanically. Staff was very knowledgeable about the performance of the model. The vehicle was presented cleanly and precisely as described online by Autotown. There was no pressure at any point during the testing nor negotiating experiences. Furthermore, the vehicle asking price was well below the Carfax verified great price! Maloy, Mike and Ben all did extraordinarily well with providing prompt responses to all of my questions about the vehicle's history and accommodating me for an early morning test drive as well as provided shuttle service pick up on my purchase day as I travelled from Chicago via train and required a ride outside of normal work hours. Talk about going above and beyond! I'll definitely refer friends and family to patronize Autotown in the future. We purchased a great car at a great price. Purchased a nice BMW, the only issue was they did not replace a part that they told me they would. So I purchased it and did it myself and installed it myself. They biggest problem is they sold us a car that was still on a reported list of stolen cars. My son got taken to jail and the car got impounded. After the city would not release it fees came to $515, which they refuse to pay. I can not believe that a company will not take responsibility for what they sell. I will never buy another car from them and don not recommend any do so. They will not support their clients after the sale.SadlyRick StoneThe fact remains I would of been able to pick up the car but the city would not release it because it was still in a stolen data base. So we incurred fines only because of that. Which total $515 which they are refusing to pay. No one should ever buy a car that was reported on a stolen list. It will never happen again. Especially any car from AutoTown because if you have a problem you will pay for it yourself after the purchase.Please spread the word as I will be. I have been operating a business in this town for 24 years and ALWAYS try to do business locally. Sometimes you just have to do the right thing for you customers. I have purchased many vehicles throughout my life, all in the CU area. I have never had a more enjoyable experience as I have had at Autotown not once but twice. The instant you walk in the door you are greeted by Luna. The Autotown mascot. Next, Ben, Maloy or Mike is there to greet you. You don't feel the pressure like other car dealers, all stuffy. All three are very pleasant and know their stuff. Maloy is so knowledgeable on vehicles, not just their inventory but all cars in general. The vehicles they sell are TOPNOTCH !!!!! They even give me a great trade in deal, even knowing that my trade in was in need of some pricy repairs. I will never purchase another vehicle anywhere else as long as they are in business. We drove two hours to see a vehicle and were surprised how nice all the cars in the lot were. Cars were clearly picked because they're in great shape on the outside and inside.We ended up buying a 2013 Volvo XC90 and in addition to running perfectly, the interior had been cleaned to like new condition. Ben and Malloy were super friendly and straightforward. Overall, the experience could not have been better. We'll happily refer our friends to the dealership, it's worth the drive.
