I work at a different retailer and shop at this store quite often. Always friendly staff. Its a shame that the front door has been broken for months. Not days or weeks but months. How about the district manager put some money in to fixing current stores. I realize DG is growing and that is great, but its like once a store is opened the company is done with it. I will still shop at this location because I like it but it makes your company look bad cause they won't even fix the front entrance that's been broke for way to long.

Great place to avoid. Terrible service. Do they run these stores with one employee. I wouldn't support them. Read how they treat their employees. ONE OF THE WORST👌

Couldnt get up and down isles. Freight everywhere. I am 63 and I have to carry my bags up steps which is hard because I have bad knees and trouble breathing. Your stores never have big bags. I ask every time I shop at D. G. It is easier to carry a couple big bags than maybe five or more small. Plus sometimes I have to make two trips. No consideration for elderly or disabled.

Great store friendly staff! They are always smiling and helpfull. You can Find everything you need. I really like the values that is offered they are busy but lines are short . I love to shop there !

New hispanic cashier was really rude, and my sister bought some rellos and she literally gad us wait for 30 minutes and called two other workers to look at her id to make sure it was her and nit me on the id licture....*ONCE AGAIN*This just happened again today! My sister showed two id’s and was still denied and the cashier said that it was MY id and not hers!?! Then why would I not just purchase the item my self?? The lady had an attitude from the gecko. I’m sick and tired of my sister not being able to use her id because of how young she looks. I understand that store owners have the right to refuse service but she was only a manager so I would really love to contact the owner and see how he/she would feel given the fact this has happened twice now. It’s just super inconvenient, irritating and embarrassing!!

The Dollar General in Central City,Il. Is the smallest D.G. in the Cenrrlia area. It's also the closest D.G. to where I live.Being close is convenient for me and everyone in the area. Being the smallest doesn't let them carry the amount goods and services the other D.G.s in town but tgey do carry the everyday essentials. It saves all of us, in the area, 2 or 3 miles of driving,to get the small things,that we need,bread,milk,small medical supplies,pet foods,paper goods and other everyday day items. The employees are always ready to help us in any way they can. I would recommend this store to anyone needing the goods and services,I have spoken of. They are an A+ in my book.

Love that we have a store so close to were we live cause we don't have anything else.to.shop from unless we drive 3 to 4 miles and sometimes that's an inconvenience.
