This store is uninviting. This is a new Dollar general opened only a few months. At this location you can tell they do not want you to be in the store or shop there. Carts are only allowed outside so if you need something more than a box of cereal or shampoo you have to go and hunt down the carts. If it's raining or snowing don't even try and go to this store. The isles are crammed packed where you can't hardly get a cart through let alone a wheelchair or a walker.

This is where most of our shopping is done. The staff is great and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Well, I actually do have one staff member that I dread seeing, she is never polite and always has a bad attitude. The rest of the staff makes up for her. The reason it only gets 4 stars is because they do not treat the employees well. They are almost always understaffed and way over worked. They get paid minimum wage or a little bit over. They expect the employees to stock shelves and have an impossible amount finished by the end of their shift, all while taking car of customers and checking them out as wellThe store has almost everything I need and the employees are great but the company doesn't even deserve 4 stars. I only rate it that because I don't want to make the employees look bad on account of the company's poor scheduling and policies.

Went to DG last night to grab a couple items and extremely impressed with the employee and manager on duty. A woman was checking out and became extremely upset with some misunderstanding over the digital coupons. The manager went above and beyond to help explain and even stepped off to the side to walk her though the process!

Dollar General in Carrollton has really stepped it up here recently. You can really tell they are working hard in there to make your shopping experience better. Store is in great shape compared to what it had been.

Worst experience I've ever had at a dollar general I purchased a pair of pliers and found mine in my truck immediately after returning to my vehicle and took them back inside to return them and they refused my refund insisting that I used their product when I brought them right back in with the receipt

Staff is very ignorant and unhelpful. We went there and got all our stuff and went to go pay and they cannot except a big bill. They are the only store in town.
