My husband was helping a friend install a water softeners. He went to home depot and Mike S. From plumbing was extremely helpful. He explained exactly what needed to be done to connect the fitting to the copper line. He showed him what tool he would need to get the job done and illustrated. The service was great. I would like to thank Moe who works at this Home Depot for exceptional service!! We were buying a microwave and he told us about the Pro loyalty program which seems awesome. We have been loyal HD shoppers for years and no one has ever mentioned this to us. Moe described in detail what it was all about and after helping us even walked us up to the cashier to make sure everything ran smoothly. Moe deserves a reward for going above and beyond!

Oscar in the tools rental department is the best. Not only was he super knowledgeable of everything, he helped me find exactly what I needed for my car detailing project. Just what you'd expect at Home Depot. Huge selection of home improvement items that are well displayed and neatly organized. Plenty of parking along with a friendly, courteous and helpful staff.

My boyfriend and I came here to buy a grill for my dad for fathers day George was supper helpful and gave us so much advice on all the different grills. There was another employee too that helped us out a lot but unfortunately we didn’t get it his name. Really great customer service!

Had to return some items. Stood there waiting for about seven minutes while the clerk had a conversation on the phone about a delivery. Then as she is finally working on my return she stops in the middle and starts a conversation with her boss about the delivery she just made me wait in line for. Asked her to finish with my return and talk to her boss after. Then she got snotty. Also sick of navigating around all the products in the aisles now.

We needed to rent a truck to move a couple of pieces of furniture. We went in and out in minutes with a nice truck. We brought it back within one hour, and the same guy checked us out in seconds... really seamless transaction. We'll come back for sure.

If they honored price match, it'd be 5 stars. Walmart had a milwaukee m18 xc5.0 resistant battery 2 pack online for 140. Home depot sells single batteries of the same make for 190. Would not price match me. Make it right, and it'll be 5 stars.

HORRIBLE customer service is an understatement! Drove for over an hour to rent a tool at the Carpentersville, IL location. It was placed on hold for me by sales associate Teresa. As I'm walking in I see the tool being driven off by someone else! After speaking with Teresa inside I was told I only had 30 mins to be in. If that's the case then tell people that when they call because I don't even live 30 minutes away! Yes, I tried reserving it online but it was only listed as available at 5 pm, which is why I called to see if I could come sooner. Then was told I cannot get compensation for my time wasted but could get the tool for a discount on my next trip. AS IF I'd even drive back over there to waste more of my time!!!! What a joke. Also spoke to manager Al and Claire, also no help with compensating my wasted day! Mind you I was wanting the towing auger to plant $5,000 worth of trees I bought from Home Depot! Perhaps I'll return those and buy from a place that is decent to their customers!

Love that they are the ONLY ones selling small $5 Paint samples. I've checked other stores. Benjamine Moore, Pittsburgh Paint, Sherwin Williams. They only sell Quart samples! Thank you Home Depot. I will be back for more Paint Samples & Paint ; )

This is my go to store for almost everything. Cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, tools, decorations, plants, flowers, and on and on. Self checkout is easy. I have always had friendly folks helping me.

Well Home Depot its bad enough that your store is so poorly stocked that being a contractor I can never fill an order for a job and always have to go some where else to get everything I need. Tonight I went in your store in Carpentersville and the A/C was off in the whole store. Hot humid worst air quality of the year. Will never come back. Time for Menards.

Awesome customer service! Just took my wife here on Mother's Day to buy vegetables and herbs for our garden., Their selection was amazing and the plants were healthy and well taken care of. Several employees were outside watering and tending to everything with a lot of care. We had an issue with not being able to scan a tomato plant, and the manager allowed us to take it home for free instead of making us wait any longer. Excellent experience at this clean and organized store.

This rating is solely based on the fact that a large store like this does not have the Mobile Pay option on their card machines I mean I can go through McDonald's drine thru and get a cheeseburger and pay with my phone but a big company like Home Depot doesn't have it at all.... seems pretty ridiculous.

The customer service here was phenomenal! We were looking for a specific outdoor furniture set, so this was the third location we checked since we saw online that it was in stock. We got here at 9:30 (they close at 10), and we felt bad for asking someone to go get one of the boxes that was stored high up, but the staff was so accommodating! It took a couple minutes to find the boxes, but Deanna made sure we got what we wanted and even had us pull our car up, and she and another employee brought it out and loaded it up for us. The set is beautiful and was pretty easy to assemble! So grateful for all of the help we received!

Workers and staff are great - very helpful. I appreciate Home Depot offering a Veterans' discount. But I had a problem getting it. Showing an ID isn't good enough anymore. I did go online a few weeks ago and uploaded proof of eligibility, as Home Depot requested, and now I am "verified". Apparently I have to go back online and locate some image to scan when I go to the store. It's tiring.

I purchased a wooster brush that was too big for my project, then returned and purchased the three-brush-paint kit from the same company. One of them accused a decoloration issue with the reddish bristles which ruined the paint around the door. Supervisor Claire listened to the issue, assessed the options and provided timely and effective solutions to help me complete the project and left my experience in this store being a positive one. I'm certain that this will continue being my Home Depot store of choice.
