The prices are very steep. The quality of the meat is always bad. I'm tired of opening a pack of steak and finding that all the fat has been tucked underneath. The guy working the deli seems to treat certain customers better than others by offering them more options. When I was checking out, I scanned all of my cold groceries before scanning my hot food. I set my food back in my cart away from the cold items. As I finished paying, the lady who stands at the self check out questioned if I was going to pay for my hot food separately. To which I responded, "no?, together." Overall, this trip cost me 100 dollars for a small amount of groceries, and I had to put up with some bad customer service.

Was in self checkout with my girlfriend and the machine couldn't read her chime card the first time. And when she used her credit card it worked but the guy working self check still wouldn't let her take the product. He even said the machine wasn't working properly but refused to move us to another machine. He was too busy gossiping with his other coworker to even give a damn about us. And was on his phone for the first 5 minutes of our one sided conversation until we realized that he couldn't give a damn and just left without even getting a refund. Just disappointing at this point

I’m giving Jewel 5 stars for the seafood department having fresh seafood. Great sales on Crab legs, and lobster tails off and on Thru out the year. The butchers are very nice and helpful. I’m there quite often for the sales and ForU items.

Jewel. Friendly neighborhood grocery. May soon be a thing of yesteryear.Update: Friendly? What happened?!!Pharmacy needs a lesson in communication. In sitting there waiting for my flu shot, someone comes up and same as me no appointment. They get registered and are told 20 minutes. Me: what?? I ask and yes there is a wait maybe 15 minutes. Mind you I called before and could have requested an appointment or another day.A smile really does not hurt.

I find most of my Vegan groceries here and I love the app because I save so much! This is my favorite Vegan cake that is ordered in. Love when it's available! Use the app to save before you go! Most recently it seems like they have hired new staff and they are a lot less friendly

I wanted to get cash back but because I tapped my Discover card rather than scan it, they told me I couldn't. I can't understand why that would matter. Customer service couldn't help either.

I brought jackfruit, apples etc. from this store for years but lately, their fruits are not as good as before. Last 6 months, every single batch of fruits I brought, more than 50% of them went into the garbage because they were all brown inside. At one time the whole bag of organic apples were brown inside. Enough money being wasted and I decided not to take the lost and trying to return a $9.30 jackfruit (went from not ripe straight to rotten). This was the1st time I had seen a blue/purple meat jackfruit. It took me 3 trips/2 days to the store for the customer service to tell me that they won't take it back. I will not spend any more of my hard working money to buy their rotten fruits.

This jewel location is very clean, great lighting, better than the one at Roselle.I was surprised at how neat the grocery section is.I always like the honey wings at Jewel.But Was quite disappointed that they don't have that yesterday when I visited them at noon. They said they might get some Saturday - which was very surprising. They only had the hot wings, which I don't prefer, but because I was hungry, I bought it. I didn't want to drive to Roselle Jewel at that time.big mistake!!!However the hot wings were very Salty, it felt like someone accidentally dumped a bag of salt into it. Usually I eat 8 wings minimum, but with these I could only take 2, that's how bad that is.Another suggestion for this location is the cashier system is a bit confusing.The sale comes off at the very end, so you can't tell if you are charged at the right price until after you pay and review the receipt.I wish they can keep up with what they've been doing well, and improve on some areas.

My husband and I went to the store on Sunday (10/30) to pick up wings before the Bears game. A crowd started forming around the counter for the wings. Dawn and Kathy told us it would take 10 mins for fresh wings. No problem by us. Who doesn’t want fresh food? Unfortunately, there were some crabby people waiting because they decided to wait 20 minutes before kickoff. The ladies at the deli counter were great even though people were crabby. They continued to smile while taking orders. They assembled buckets on the counter to quickly fill up people’s orders. They apologized for the delay. It’s nice to see smiling employees. Please let them know they did a great job!

The girl working at self check out was very rude and very disrespectful when I brought a pricing issue to her attention, I will not be shopping at that jewell anymore. I rather take the ten minute drive to the other jewel and geneva rd! This is the jewel that's on army trail and county farm

I like the fact of all the buy one get one free deals these days, it's really nice and the app comes in super handy because a lot of time they give you free stuff, which is cool👍 most Jewels I go into I just go through the self-checkout which is super quick, even when the store is crowded. I also enjoy the huge variety of Specialty Products. I do wish they had free Wi-Fi. I wish more Jewels had a place to sit down where you could buy a sandwich and a drink so you could just go there and eat a quick lunch also I appreciate the fact that they're lowering the prices on many products.

Once again the employees at this Jewel location are crabby and rude. They talk meanly to us customers as well as to each other. Today, the cashier who was angrily complaining that she had been on the floor since 8:15 ( and it was only 9:00) tipped my strawberry cake on its side and put it in my cart. When I told another employee all she said was “Oh no.” For years my experience at this location has been horrible. It is not where I typically shop, but I needed something specific that Target and Trader Joe do not carry. Well, after this morning I will never shop here again.

I'm torn! This location has stepped up with such a great selection of produce and at competitive pricing. However, I was there on Wednesday night and had to used the restroom. NASTY... please check your women's restroom, please keep it clean and sanitize. It's just good housekeeping. Concern customer.

Several things I had trouble finding. Bathrooms need upgrading bad.... had to wait since 2 people can go at a time. Also I'm not a big fan of jewel Oscos pricing. Rarely get deals. Oh another big problem... ive had bought expired food here before and had to return it.

Great staff. Always friendly and helpful. I have been shopping here since 2005. The store has lost a lot of its luster. Lines are always long no matter what time you shop. They tried the self check out a few years ago and it didn't work. They just make the regular lines longer. It also takes jobs away. They seem to be under staffed all the time. Produce has gone from bad to worse. The store has become expensive to shop at. There are to many choices for me to spend my money here anymore. Now i just stop in for a few things and the convince. I can't wait for woodmens.

Jewel is always a great place to shop. The staff is always friendly, and willing to help find, just the right item you're looking for. The cashiers are efficient, friendly, helpful, they always make you feel at home, and treat their customers, in an appreciative manner, for shopping at their store. They realize that each sopper has their choice, of where they choose to shop, so this the employees at this Jewel/Osco, go out of their way, to treat each customer, with friendly respect, and willingness to help. I highly recommend shopping at this particular Jewel/ Osco.

Jewel products are good, staff is always friendly. But they are over priced. I'm glad there is a new Woodman's going in near by. Perhaps the added competition will cause them enough concern to get their prices into line to save market share.

I've said this on a number of reviews, but, it's Jewel. The store is run as expected. Prices can be more than Meijer or Walmart but if you shop and look for their current deals and promotions you won't spend any more than any other place. Recommendation is to shop when you don't have a specific list and just see what they have on sale. 99 cent blueberries? Depends on the day. Still, always fully stocked. You'll be able to get whatever you need.

Store has improved a bit. Fresh fruits and veggies are a disappointment. Sale includes wrinkled peppers, over priced celery, etc. Bathroom is disgusting, dirty and smells like a truck stop urinal.

Jewel-Osco is by far my favorite grocery store, has competitive pricing on produce and if you install their app you can clip on coupons on your phone. Place is clean and has great prices.

I come here frequently but not anymore. There is a bagger, Kathleen. She is Always nasty, shes rude to my 4 year old who tries to say hello to her, then throws my bags in the cart while glaring at me!! I understand people have bad days and m not a complainer but it's every time. Should'nt have this person in customer service period!
