I can not say enough good things about this Veterinary clinic!!First of all. They answer their phone every time I call, in a timely manner. From the moment we walked in the receptionist/tech was so kind and helpful. The tech that took us to our room was so good with my pup. She was patient with me, too!! Dr. Reed was just awesome. So calm and reassuring to my pup. She addressed all my concerns and took care of my baby like it was her own. The final tech that helped was as friendly and kind as the others.I think we have found our forever Vet!!PS. My girl is very fiesty and sometimes bitey, so the fact that they handled her so well was close to a miracle🤣😂

Very poor customer service during the scheduling process. They make it beyond difficult to get in, even in emergencies. Also have had an ongoing issue with my pet that they have not been able to successfully help get under control. Frustrating experience overall. Would not recommend.

Don't ever hesitate to take your loved ones here, they will be placed into the most loving, caring hands there is. I was completely moved by my most recent experience at the clinic. We witnessed a miracle and our day spent there was unforgettable with the hospitality of all the staff. We love this place and it will always hold a special spot in our hearts. I have a 125# Lab/Shepherd mix that has been horribly losing his hair for the last several months. We have made multiple trips to another vet that simply gave him a shot each time and sent us on our way. The problem would get better for a couple weeks, then come back.Last week was our first visit to the Macoupin Veterinary Clinic in Carlinville. I got lucky and they were able to get him in the same day. The attention and care that Dr. Sandino and his team gave us was extraordinary. They spent so much time with us. My dog got the most thorough examination he's ever been given. He took the time to explain everything to us, discuss treatment options and gave us some medicine.Three days later I received a phone call checking to make sure the treatment was working and asking if we had any issues or questions. When I suggested scheduling an appointment in a couple weeks for the vet to check his progress, they said unless something changes, there was no reason to spend the money. Instead they would call in two weeks to check his progress.The following day, we recieved a card in the mail from the office. It wasn't a normal business thank you card. It was a personal, handwritten card from Dr. Sandino and his team.Needless to say I highly recommend them and will not be going anywhere else. Excellent people.

One of my two boys (22 mo old GSD litter mates) suffered a spinal injury with paralysis. I found him at the back door unable to move either of his two back legs. I took him to a local emergency vet service where he was diagnosed. One of the first suggestions was euthanasia. I refused. THIS IS MY BOY!I was referred to Macoupin Vet Services where Dr. Reed and her staff assumed care. I was met with kindness, compassion, professionalism and, in retrospect, real expertise. Not that money was a major factor considering care for my "child," but the services were VERY cost-effective, as well.After a few weeks of treatment (twice a week), Vincent is walking and even semi-running again. He continues to improve weekly. He may never get to 100%, but I am beyond happy with his progress after such a heartbreaking event and initial prognosis.I cannot recommend these professionals enough! Yes, there are many Vet services closer to home, but I'll gladly make the 90 minute round-trip to MVS anytime for the even smallest need.

Caring staff and Veterinarian! Great with explaining issues that you understand. I can't say enough about this clinic! My entire family goes there even if it's a 45 minute drive from their home. Luckily I live in Carlinville. I wouldn't go Anywhere else!

When I called about my cat because she was displaying concerning symptoms. My family doesn't haven't much money to spare. We are barely having a Christmas this year. They told me that even that they only take regular patients after hours and that if I DID bring her they would have to charge me 300 dollars up front. My pets are members of my family and an emergency room doesn't even charge human beings that much up front for care. I'm absolutely disgusted by the abuse of power. Vets are suppose to help you from losing members of your family. Luckily my cat is doing somewhat better in the time since I called but I will definitely be looking for another vet and I will NEVER bring any of my pets to a man that values money more than the life of living things.
