Had to stop in to grab something to bring to work and really quickly. Soon as we fast walked in the door, a man yelled "we close in four minutes" we said ok we know, we know what we want. Then rudely said over the intercom I need the shoppers to come to the register for your purchases, we are now closed." The young cashier was nice and friendly and the manager guy who locked the doors acted irritated to let us out and like it was a big deal. Used to be a pleasant visit there. I don't know what happened 🤷🏻‍♀️

Very busy today. Was very well staffed. Stock was full. The was clean and well laid out. The staff I made eye contact with smiled. They were definitely keeping up with the demands of a busy holiday season. I will most definitely keep this store on my list of nice pleasant places to shop at.

The beautiful thing about this Hy-Vee is you can walk in the door, have a Starbucks barista make your favorite latte, and immerse yourself in a high quality shopping experience. This is so much more than a grocery store. The freshest produce, a fantastic (and surprising) array of fresh fish, a mouth-watering bakery, ready to eat items, a wine selection that rivals traditional liquor stores and fresh flowers. Canton has Aldi, Kroger, and Hy-vee, and on the pricing scale, I would place Hy-vee at the higher end of the three. When it comes to quality and service, I would place them in the higher end of the three. Keep in mind that it is employee owned with employees participating in a employee stock ownership plan, so the incentive for great service is higher. They have a fuel rewards program, which helps defray the high cost of gas. The handicapped parking is plentiful and right at the front door. My only caution is eat before you go; it will save you a lot of money.

Prices continue to rise. Most deals now involve Hy-Vee brands. Seems customers are being highly encouraged to leave popular brands but many Hy-Vee brand foods are worth the try

Hy-Vee has nice workers and good service, but no bike racks so me and my friend had to go home and walk back with no bikes

I was in the Canton Illinois store about 8:30 PM the other night and I was sure they was getting ready to shoot add pictures for their stores. The store was so clean and well organized. All shelves were stocked and organized and look beautiful. You could tell they had a manager and staff that cared about their work and how the store looked. The store looked like they were getting ready for their grand opening.I should’ve taken pictures.

I'm in highschool and Hy-Vee is really close to the highschool, so most teens at our highschool walk to Hy-Vee and Hy-Vee allows us to come in with our back packs on. Today I walked into Hy-Vee and I was walking around trying to decide if I was going to get Starbucks(they have it inside the building) or just by an energy drink and one of the works came up to me and started accusing me of stealing because I put the energy drink down when she was standing near me. I literally go their almost every day and I have NEVER stole anything.

My wife had Hy-Vee cater my 50th birthday celebration. The staff was great and the food was amazing. Definitely using Hy-Vee for any catering we need in the future.

This is our go to grocery store. There are a few departments I have not stopped at yet but the ones I have the employees have been very kind. I love their bakery department. Usually stop by and pick up a devil dog each time we go. I prefer the original over the peanut butter one, due to the peanut butter tasting more like a maple icing flavor. Still both are good.The meat department is wonderful. Always have nice cuts of meat, and wonderful service. We have not tried the deli yet, be it the sides or sliced meats and cheeses but am sure they are a good department as well. My fiance loves the sushi choices, he wasn't for sure at first but picked him up some on a solo visit and now he loves it. Not a fan of the general chicken flavor but that is a personal choice on flavors.We are morenof the self checkout shoppers so have yet to meet their cashiers but the ones that work self check are nice. Only once were we left on flashing red. I did see why as well. The gentleman was helping at the service desk and the young woman 17-20 (could not scan age prohibited items) was standing behind the service counter laughing with another young female. Other then that five or ten minute wait wonderful staff. The gentleman that works self check, the bakery and meat department employees all deserve recognition for there service. They keep us coming back best service areas in town for their grocery departments.

I love our HyVee here in Canton Illinois their motto a HomeTown store is demonstrated every time you go into the store so willing to help and go out of their way to do the little special things that make your experience so memorable two Thumbs up HyVee in Canton you're the greatest store here.Update; went in to see about a new brand of bread that I wanted, only to find out that in 2 weeks it will be available here in our Canton store.They are all always trying to improve our choices and products.

Seems like everytime I buy deli meat I end up throwing it away. I bought a lil over half lb of roast beef n lil over half lb of ham n the second day my dog wouldn’t even eat it n it smells. So over 12$ down the drain again it definitely is my last time of EVER buying deli meat again😞

I wanted some beef kabobs marinaded. The meat associate said all they had was chicken marinade. I picked up some tomatoes, strawberries, salad mix, and brats. I went to the self checkout. My items were not ringing up correctly so I hit the assistance button. Ten minutes went by and no one came. I left that check out and went to another. I waited three minutes before an associate came. She checked on my items and I was told the prices were correct. I went back with her and we verified the prices were wrong. She apologized and said she didn't know what she was looking at. I asked for a manager. I spoke to two if them and both told me they were sorry and just stared at me. No offer to ring me up correctly was made. I left about $80 worth of groceries. I won't shop there again if no customer service.

The Hy-Vee in Canton has a great meat department and planty of frozen foods. There is a Starbuck's inside also. I bought eggs on sale for $1.92 for a dozen.

PSA: NOT LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY.So my partner and I were in here a few days ago…just moved to the area a month or so ago, he wanted to get his coworker a welcome back cake to work, as she was recently In the hospital. as we approached the bakery section the man behind the counter was waiting on two young women, so we decided to browse the cakes until he was finished helping them, a few minutes go by and the man behind the counter doesn’t approach us, I didn’t think anything of it, until he decided to approach not only one but two other people before us, (who showed up after us). When he was finished with the customers who showed up after us, we waited a few then had to flag him down. My partner asked him if he would be able to write a little message on the cake, but without hesitation the man looked at me then looked at him and said “no I’m not capable of doing that. You don’t want me to do that.” That’s it that’s all, he didn’t try and find someone to assist us or offer us any help, is this homophobia or bad training?. Out of disbelief of what we just heard from a man working in a BAKERY section of a supermarket, we took the cake and walked away without exchanging anymore words with him. We had to go buy icing to write on a cake ourselves. Im very upset I didn’t get his name but I will not be returning to this store.

Always love going to Canton Hy-Vee. Everything is so easy to find and every one is always friendly and helpful. Bonus is there is a Starbucks in there!

Has great variety, well stocked can be a bit hard to locate some items. Staff friendly and helpful. Checkouts weren't backed up. Has a pharmacy, deli, eatery and special things like seafood shoppe. Is Neat and clean prices are a bit high, but not unreasonable. Overall a great place !
