I've never adopted from there but have taken my children in the past to visit the animals and we left feeling like the animals were in good hands, which was the only good feeling you could hope to expect.I wish their website had photo listings of all animals, I think it would help in the outlook for each animal. I'm sure there are reasons it's not that way but I wish those reasons were just no so and it was just done.

Don’t trust this shelter I sent a mothe cat and her five adorable kittens I rescues from the streets myself the mother cat and kittens have never made it to there adoption site I used to think so highly of this place now I’m completely disgusted with it if I’m to help any animal shelter it would be paws in Peking or Peoria they keep there word and they don’t send animals any where else but where you they are supposed to be

We adopted a dog from this shelter in May 2021 and they gave us false information on the dog in order to get us to take him home. After realizing that our home was not the right fit for him they refused to take him back to find him a better home. When we called and talked to them about it they we snotty and basically telling us everything was our fault and he was no longer their problem.

I adopted an elderly cat from the Humane Society of Fulton County. Immediately after adopting Samuel renamed Gramps I noticed he wouldn’t eat dry food or wet food… I took him to the vet and we spent about a little over a month trying to figure out that he is going threw Kidney Failure. During this process of taking him to the vet even one of the vet techs was upset for me saying he was clearly very unhealthy and some animals shouldn’t be adoptable because of their health issues. He’s not eating would’ve been an issue while he was still at Fulton County and that didn’t get communicated to me at ALL. (Maybe they didn’t even know which would be a whole other issue) During the adoption process the person in charge of the paper work for the adoption started to read his medical records and then stopped scanned the page and put it back in his folder. My fiancé and I found this very weird/suspicious. I was trying hard not to be upset with Fulton County knowing it is a rescue and I thought they must be trying their best but I was making my concerns clear when a Facebook friend of mine said she had the EXAXCT same issue but she contacted them between their 21 day period was up and Fulton County went ahead and paid for the cat she adopted from them to be euthanized and replaced it with a cat of her choice. Gramps does not need euthanized but I did contact Fulton county with my concerns about them knowingly adopting out very sick cats and to maybe see if they would sponsor the blood work he needs since I have spend $400 thus far. The woman they transferred me to was extremely rude about their “contract” which stated I only had 21 days to say something so I started being very frustrated saying their contract also starts they they would let us know everything that is wrong with the cat medically which THEY DIDN’T DO. They have a low $30 adoption fee so you will adopt animals with extreme health issues and take care of it for them. It’s completely unexpectable I became extremely attached to Gramps instantly and seeing what he has to go through has been putting me through nothing but pain. I recommend adopting threw a rescue that cares for the animals while they have them and after they’re adopted. I have adopted a cat and 2 dogs from Grafelman farms rescue and they care about their animals so much that they’ll check in on them even after they’re adopted to make sure that their medical issues were taken care of. Go to GRAFELMAN FARMS RESCUE DO BETTER FULTON COUNTY.(Also he had gum disease and his eyesockets are too small which the vet told me the very first time I brought them in so very clearly Fulton county should’ve known that)

Love this facility! Volunteer ran and operated. Every time I come by, I drop off a donation. Staff is friendly and keeps pets safe, fed, warm, and clean until they can find a forever home. I really appreciate the volunteers and everything they do! Thank you!

Last summer I rescued a 2 month old kitten from Canton Lake and brought it here, not long after I started fostering him and another kitten who was the same age. After fostering them my family adopted the kittens and I'm really happy that the grateful staff helped through all of the process and keeping the cats safe and healthy.

Everyone was absolutely wonderful!!! We got ourselves a wonderful puppy named Sheba. The whole staff was very helpful and knew the dogs all very well!! I highly recommend adopting from this shelter!

Tried to adopted a cat and nothing but lies and then say we adopted the cat you were looking at out because they can't call the landlord so I'm recommending staying away from the shelter they won't correct their mistakes and disrespect people so a huge thumbs down

They have great discounted rates for spay n neuter pets. I've had 7 cats spayed n neutered there for only cost me around $200.00. That includes shots and ear clipping for outdoor cats.

Went there today cause they were open a d was going to get a dog for my kids, I get there and was informed by a rude worker that they were closed. Maybe that should've been indicated by the web site. I guess they don't want to let animals be adopted..will not be going back nor supporting this business whatsoever and will be informing people I know who want to adopt to go to a more friendly environment..
