I have mixed feelings about this place it's a nice store its wide good parking spot the bathrooms are clean the floors are clean the people are nice. I don't like it for personal reasons and that's it it's just personal reasons.

I called to verify that they cut house keys and was assured that they would. However, when I got there I was led by a employee to the key cutting machine and was told that they didn't have the proper key blank to make the key. It was one of the most common key blanks. So I had to go to a competitors store and pay 2-3 times more for the key. I blame this on poor management.

Do not shop here. I paid $700 for a new generator that wouldn't stay running. They would do nothing. I took it back with receipt in the box, the receipt said return within 30 days. They kept it for two weeks giving me the run around. After 6 trips to the store and several phone calls they said there's nothing they can do. Their buyers wouldn't allow them. The most horrible experience of customer service I've ever had. They treated me like I stole the darn thing. If you live locally it's hard to avoid this store completely..I recommend purchasing generators from a merchant that be there when you need support for a device that can be important during an emergency.

The variety of items is great. The only place I can find the mini hull less popcorn. The registers are straight out of the early nineties, don't fix what is not broken is a great way to conduct business. Update they have new super fast registers

My husband and I went to Farm King and purchased a window A/C unit. They didn’t have any flat carts available so the cashier told us to go around to the back and someone would meet us there to load the unit into the vehicle. After sitting there for about 10 minutes waiting we pulled back around to the front. My husband went inside and they had not even gotten the A/C unit yet. My husband found a cart and got it himself which he didn’t mind doing in the first place had a cart been available at the time of purchase. This is only my second time to this store and so far have yet to be impressed. 👎🏼

Farm King is Absolutely the best store I've ever shopped in. Fulton County is very lucky to have such a great variety of product selection and even better prices than anyone in the market. They have been around for 63 years and our county would be lost without them. Farm King has everything the consumer needs. Don't believe anything negative about Farm King. This is a Rock Star retailer and so are the owners. Thanks for the Great Customer Service!!!!

Went in here to buy a few things. When I was checking out, I noticed they don't have updated CC Readers for the chips. I did go and file a complaint with the CFPB on how no of these locations are in compliance. It's time for you guys to move out of the 80s and invest money in your system.

This place does not install your pre purchased tires. For liability reasons, you have to purchase your tires from them. I'm glad I was able to purchase the same like, kind and quality from Farm King after returning the ones I bought from another retailer. They got the new tires installed in about an hour. They seemed quite short staffed. One woman took 20+ minutes of their time trying to negotiate pricing on tires even though the prices are set. It decreased the amount of time the guys could spend working on the tires. Good customer service, quick tire install when they could dedicate the time to it and decent tire pricing.

Bought 4 new tires and service was great. Called around for prices. When they gave me the total price they would also add other cost to the total was alot more. Farm king had the best deals and no other extra cost added.

Would not recommend. Rude staff. Had extensive neck and chin surgery a week ago and have one ear yet was still told to wear a mask or leave. Had another experience when I was younger when a staff member was very rude to my elderly grandfather in the sporting good section as well. Dont shop here. Spent my $500 at orileys and they lost a sale.

Management is very rude and condescending to customers and employees. Coaching, empowering their employees is at the bottom of their list. A particular manager with longevity is given the ability to treat and belittle staff. Upon approaching manager of 30 years, he states, "you just have to know her, it is just how she is. My response, " just because that is how she is doesn't make it right.' I also have a family member who had a problem with a product he purchased there. He approaches same manager who was extremely rude and she won't assist. She told him to call the company. He calls the company and the company apologized on her behalf, contacted the store and he was allowed to go pick up the product. When he arrived to pick it up, she rudely shoved it across the counter and wouldn't speak to him. How is that for customer service?? Corporate really needs to step in and put some policies and procedures in place along with customer service training. The young adults have better manners that management with longevity.

I recently needed two tires to be installed on my 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood. I needed a good price, and immediate service, due to my schedule for work on second shift at BLICK Art Materials Warehouse in Galesburg.After a most agreeable estimate, $240 out the door, Mike, the automotive manager, "Made the Sale."I watched as he and his associate, I believe his name was Jared, took great care in removing both tires, and "Cleaning /Restoring" Both 30yr old Rims!Another Man... An Obvious "Old Pro.." was called in to add his years of experience in "Correcting" the most Vital Surfaces of the Rim itself- Inner Lip !Start - Finish : 29mins!Friendly, Professional, Great magazines available to pass the time.Also, PERFECT Location in store :Right next to the Firearms/Hunting department! The Man behind the handgun counter, his name eludes me, I have seen in that store for the past 20 years!To say that he is a professional / master of his craft regarding ALL weapons is an understatement!I have never had a bad experience at the Canton Farm King in the over 20 years I've been visiting this great store!ALWAYS a Pleasure, Gentlemen!-CiaoGeorge M. I tried to find out the price on a pair of flip flops and the staff treated me very rudely. They were clearly frustrated by having to find the price of a shoe with no price tag. I would not recommend shopping at this store. The staff needs training in customer service.

Good locally-owned small chain department store with huge variety of home, clothing, garden, auto and hunting products and great, helpful staff. Unfortunately, the technology is way out of date, making checkout slow and prices can't compete with the bigger chains or big box stores. But less walking to find what you need in a hurry!

I walked in the front door and was immediately greeted and ask if I needed any assistance. During this time of the Covid garbage they were abiding by the rules and yet still made you feel comfortable. I will definitely be back to support this business.

Prices are very high for pet items available in town. And they have some of the most expensive plants during planting season. Small businesses in the area are cheaper with similar products. I like that they carry specialty items for animals that I would otherwise have to go all the way to Peoria for. Saves the gas. It's a hit and miss depending on what you are shopping for. Staff is not always very knowledgeable but they are friendly and do their best with the experiences I've had. Store has always been clean when I've been there.

We purchase fish for our lake once due to location. Returned on this day to buy bags of fish food. They were all sold our. A nice female staff asked to take my number to call be as so as the shipment came in that next week. She did and I was great full.

Love there selection but there prices can be alittle high. But they do have good discounted rates on clothes and certain items that are not in season. I will definitely go back and be been going there since I was a kid.

Needed to get salt for the snow storm. This was the only place in town that had any in stock. They were up front on pallets ready for to go. I browsed the store and found a lot of merchandise I didn't need this trip but would be back to get in the future. I'd recommend this place to check out.

High prices and mediocre customer service. Many of the prices are high enough that it is cheaper to go to Pekin or Peoria to get the same hardware. Many of the staff answer questions like you are inconveniencing them. Some of the staff are great know their stuff and are helpful but for the most part of you do not know exactly what you need you are out of luck.

Went in for handgun ammo an workers were rude an rushed me. I was the only person so I dont understand how they cant take 5mins to help service you. Poor service was put on hold for 15mins. No big deal but then was told they were in the middle of a sale an hung up on me. An I was going to buy 100rounds of 6.5mm creedmore an more 9mm. But I will never go back here for ammo or anything again.

I am greatly disappointed in the policies regarding Generator return and warranty work. I recently purchased a Champion Generator after having it for three weeks and running it under 100. It failed. I am still waiting to get my generator back. I spent over $ 700 on the purchase to only use it a few times in a couple weeks and I have no generator. My point is that Farm King in Canton IL. and The manufacturers of Champion generators Do not seem to stand behind the product that they sell. Here i sit two months after buying a new Generator without a generator to use .
