Wish it could be a zero. Horrible experience with an alignment. Keys in the ignition and turn to accessory when picked up. Over $1100 and now making suspension noises that were not there when I took it in. Would trust my 6 year old to work on my car before them. Had another shop look at the vehicle. Glad I didn’t take it back for them to look at. Front should only have 1 cam bolt on each side. As seen they put two. 1st alignment specs from them 5th Ave. According to them the caster wasn’t adjustable. Not surprising the tech said he was frustrated when doing the alignment. I would be frustrated also if I was doing something I didn’t have full knowledge of how to do. Amazing the 2nd ship I took it to was able to adjust it no issue. The best part is they got the car back to me a day early. Unlike 5th Ave that I was told would be done Monday, then Tuesday morning, and finally Tuesday night. Have to enjoy taking unnecessary time off work.

Bought 2 tires from them now one has a slow leak in it. They want me to work around their schedule to get it fixed. Instead of working with me to get it fixed. I’ll NEVER DI BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN

I was treated like family. They heard my concerns about my car, they checked on it, made suggestions, gave me a very close estimate, (actually $5 less), did the work within 24 hours, and fixed the problems. The front office staff are professional and easy to work with. Only wish, honestly, was to have found them sooner. Please give this business a call. Well done from start to finish. Thank you.

We took a car in on 4/19 for front end noise. The car actually had to be towed. The brakes were bad and were repaired. Picked the car up last night and the noise it was taken in for was still there. Took the car back this morning and now they say it needs tires and the noise is the lower control arm. Already dropped almost 500.00 for brakes and now they want 600.00 more for this service. And the worst part of all, they knew there was a problem yesterday and did not tell us AND they aligned the car which was a total waste of over 100.00 when they knew it would have to be aligned after this repair. They will NOT be doing anything else on the car. We have found someone else. Unless you enjoy throwing money away I highly recommend you do not use this business!!!

I called to quote tires and when I told her I found some cheaper so I am going to go elsewhere but I appreciated her looking she IMMEDIATELY hung up on me. Not even a you’re welcome, have a good day, or anything. If that’s how potential customers are treated over the phone I can’t imagine in person. Ive never had any tire shop or mechanic in the area treat me how this older woman treated me which is why I’m leaving this review.

Our son is a student at Spoon River College and needed new tires. He’s two hours from home. We got in touch with Maggie at Fifth Avenue Tire & Auto and had an absolutely perfect experience! Excellent service and incredibly helpful!! I would recommend this place of business to anyone. Thank you for helping keep my son safe on the road when Mom and Dad are two hours away!!

Never EVER again. Dropped the car off and it didn't get fixed. Said they "forgot" about it. They had some issues come up...I get that but could of called. So meanwhile we are forced to drive the car till the next day which could blow up our transmission. And the owner said that's my problem! Had it got fixed the first day when it was suppose to we wouldn't be having this issue. And he told me to take my buisness elesewhere!! Ok NO problem...don't have to tell me twice! Didn't plan on coming back anyway. In a small town when you own a buisness this is absolutely NO way to treat a customer.

Me and my family came to town for the weekend for a dog trial, and blew a tire on our trailer the night before. We called Friday when they opened, and initially asked about replacing just the one blown tire, and ended up just replacing all four. Not only was the kind lady at the front desk very patient and accommodating to us, but when they weren’t going to be able to finish the trailer same day like we were told, they called back seconds later saying their guys would stay after closing to work on, and finish the trailer! Thank you to all who made it happen!

I have been doing business with Jim's many years. And now with 5th street. We have a company van and personal vehicles for about 15 years . Well this fall i got three tires put on my truck, about a week the tires started going flat. I figured new truck new rims it must be the rims so every morning I have at least one flat and every others every few days. So I had a problem for months ,I figured needed to clean the rims at bead .so my falt and I will keep up with pumping air in them. Until one day I see a little white tag hanging out of the bead a shipping ups barcode sticker that the shop didn't take off and the why my tires were leaking every day. And my long friend and company said sure I'll fix it 10% off not free for nothing!! So we will not do with business again. Oh and I'm a dailsys person with a bad heart.every day I have to pump up the tires. Thx 5th street.
