I loved the service I received but didn’t like the cleanliness of the calumet city store. Staci is absolutely the best. She is so warm and caring. I’m sorry she’s leaving the area but will excel wherever she goes! The last 2 pictures are from his first visit to Staci. He was soooo clean and fluffy.

Absolutely cruel! I wouldn’t buy a worm from the place. The fish were literally eating each other/corpses because of how dirty their tanks were and how starved they are. There were bettas just floating upside down. Not to mention the rancid smell throughout the place and cat littler all over the floor. Everything was thrown around sloppily and there were boxes blocking half the isles. I’ve been coming to this location for 10+ years and I’m incredibly disappointed in how far it’s gone downhill. I would only come here for convenience until there’s better management. Otherwise you’re way better off driving a little further and going to a different chain.

Petco always make sure my puppy is cute. Their a lil high but we've been going 6yrs and they know my Yorkie well. 4hrs normally but it took 5 this time not sure why. Petco does a good job just need to give more coupons for grooming.

Went in to buy a couple pet birds for my kids. Nice staff, clean pet shop. We'll be visiting again soon for pet food and pet toys 💓

I took my puppies for their first grooming appointment, and Staci was my Pet Groomer! Staci is professional, proficient, and calm. My puppies were given such adorable cuts and accessories. I enjoyed picking up items I needed while there and appreciated the selection of items available to choose from. Sale items were a plus.

Gloria in the grooming dept is the best! I have a German Shepherd that can be a handful. Gloria always has him looking great! Also the prices are very reasonable for the excellent service.

The store is not all that big or anything, but it's neat and well stocked. One cashier was extremely phenomenal. He gave me advice about my Belgium Malinois and reassurance about her slim physique. I thought she should be heavier (fatter), but she's at a great weight due to her high level of fitness and athletic capabilities. She's very healthy!

Went to get supplies for our mice and guinea pigs. Staff usually always nice and helpful, tonight cashier seemed a little off, but everyone had a rough day now and again. We'll see what happens on the next trip.

My favorite store and location to go for all my pet needs. They are always helpful and considerate with any questions or concerns I may have. I have never had a issue with any questions or concerns with anything I may ask! They even helped me say a few hundred dollars on my dogs repetive ear infection with a 29.00 solution they have that might I add worked wonderful in only 3 days it's completely clear the bottle says use for 7days so I plan on using it for the 4 more days just to be sure but I am thankful that the issue is gone thanks to there attentiveness.

I couldn't wait any longer for a heat light. Chewy had already gone 4 days and no shipping info. I was going to miss the sale but I asked the cashier if they still honor competitor's prices. She said only their online prices. So I went online and they were running a sale..a dollar less but better than the full price.

Wow i would give this store 10 stars if i could. The store manager Jason was so helpful and wonderful. My friend and i are new fish owners so we had so many questions and Jason was so patient with us. He answered all our questions and gave wonderful recommendations, we even had some difficulty with returning an online order and he went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Diamond the young lady who checked us out was also very nice and patient. I recommend this store 100%.

My first visit was horrible due to poor management and poor customer service. I was told I couldn’t hold a guinea pig unless I buy one today. Whose to say just because I’m not buying one today mean I won’t buy one tomorrow. And they don’t knowledge you on any of the animals. I will not be visiting there again.

I live quite a distance away but I was going to visit my kids and stopped in to see if they carried my dogs favorite snack and to my surprise they did and they also carried her food so I bought them both plus a little Thanksgiving day toy for her. This place is clean and the people are so polite. I will definitely come back here next time I come see my kids.

I had some question and two employees help me and were friendly. Jen, one day and Hector the other. I don't have their last names at the Calumet City location. Hector was at the register and was calmly informative of the store no return policy at his time during the pandemic. Jen was very knowledgeable with medicines for cats and owns cats so she has direct experience that I trust. She also helped me with with grain free cat food I was looking for and cat toys. The store is clean, organized. Every time I go, it's the helpful friendly employees that make my day.

No one pays any attention to you. It was difficult to get any assistance. I was awaiting two associates who we assisting another patron. They saw me standing there. Yet, they walked away without acknowledging my presence. The floors were filthy with signs of urine throughout the store. I was quite disappointed.

I took my puppy in for shots. The team is very well organized. I was in an out in less than an hour. The vet and staff were informative and sweet.

Sat for 15 minutes watching customer after customer come in and out. I ordered for curbside pickup, it’s hard to walk still as I’m recovering from surgery. The phone rang and rang until it disconnected. So I go inside and what do I see, two employees at the front on their phones… I asked if the phone was broke they said no, I told them it kept ringing and no one answered. As I left I called again and heard the phone ringing so not broke just lazy employees…. I hope they never have to experience a physical disability, temporary or permanent bc they have no care for anyone but themselves and their phones.

General manager has the most disgusting attitude ever! I’ve been there a few times and really hoped that each time I’d go she’s NOT there. I’d rather drive an extra 25/30 minutes to Indiana than see that terrible lady! If you do decide to go just avoid the big white lady with blonde curls in her hair!!

The staff is always friendly. The store always has a discount on cat food and I love the grooming department. Janie takes very good care of my baby Patchez. I totally trust her and appreciate the hob she does. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!

Just took both dogs in for (Vetco) rabies shots. Arrived at about 2pm. Long line already for inoculations, which were to begin at 2:30. Felt like it took forever, but everything ran very smoothly. The employees were patient, organized, and calm. The patrons and all their pets behaved well, also - pretty amazing - tons of dogs from 2 to 100 lbs. Anyway - whole thing took about 2 hours. Can NOT beat the prices. Both dogs 3 year rabies shots - 76.00. Would have run in the hundreds at the vet. Bottom line, well worth the wait!

I've been going to this Petco for many years and this is a good place to find product for your pets. They can be short on things from time to time, like 🐟 for example, but the staff is good. The pandemic has made it more difficult, l think. I've bought fish for my aquarium as well as supplies for a long time now, including yesterday. They can be pricey, but I'll trade it for good product and service. I'll be back down the road, and youshould too.

Staff is friendly for the most part they are also knowledgeable only reason I gave 3 stars is I have been trying to make an appointment for my dog to get groomed it’s been a week and no one answers in the grooming dept. I leave a message and no one calls back. I had to download the app and schedule the appt. threw there.

Let's just say they were more friendly this time around. It's kind of funny what a pandemic can do to people and how it can make people nicer and have a change in their attitude. They are still overpriced, but this time around their was a much warmer tone thank you for your services.

Now that I work here it's even better than ever! Get to play with the animals and I'm learning so much about them all the employees are nicer than ever and the prices are very reasonable compared to other pet stores!!
