This is the best Veterinary Hospital. I had a cat who had been sick for some time. I couldn't find a hospital anywhere who would take me and all referred me to an emergency vet in Rockford. They stayed open past their closing time and last minute at that. They are kind and compassionate.

I wish I could give this place a -100 star review. My childhood dog that I have had since I was 4 years old passed away about a month ago. I moved out of state a year ago and I wasn’t able to say goodbye so it made it extremely hard, also considering this was my only childhood dog and dog I have ever had in general. We made arrangements to have him cremated as we did with his brother when he passed. Paid in full and everything. Come to find out my Grandpa had tried to call a few times to see how much longer it would be, because he wanted to give it to me to have some sort of remembrance of him. They informed us that something happened with his ashes. Either got mixed together with a bunch of other dogs and they wouldn’t be able to give us anything. Neither of us care if we were to get our money back, I believe we did but that’s not the point. We just wanted something special to remember our sweet boy. The fact that a place like this could let this happen is awful. I really am not someone to ever post a bad review, but I am absolutely crushed by this. Would not recommend this place to anyone and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.

Blackhawk Veterinary Clinic takes care of your animals like they were your children, well mine are. I have an emotional support dog for my husband and a service dog that is retiring and new puppy that I would like to get training as replacment. Wish I could come inside, but they are very professional, and nice. A lot more expensive than u am used to paying but not everyone is like my former vet. All in all, my fur babies at well cared for and loved, which is all that matters. Well be using their services only from here forward. Their for making it first visit a positive one.

Found then on Google. First time taking any of my babies there, being new to the area and everyone there was so nice. Even though my baby was too sick and didn't survive, they did everything they could to save her and then to make me feel comfortable. Very caring people. I'll take all my babies to them. For over a decade I have taking my dogs to this facility for the best quality care in the area. The staff are friendly professionals who I have always taken the very best care of my dogs. whenever I have to take my dog to the veterinarian I always choose Blackhawk! The environment is clean and not very noisy. they may even give your dog or cat a little goodie for the road home.

The doctors are incredible. But busy. You do need an appointment but they will accommodate emergencies when necessary. They have had to close their New Milford location. But are arranging to accommodate those patients in Byron.

The staff here is very nice, but I recently was quite disappointed in the service. I scheduled an appointment to have my kittens neutered, had to wait a month for the appointment, only to show up and have them tell me the appointment was for shots only.This experience was quite stressful for me as I was hoping to have my kittens 'fixed' so they wouldn't start spraying. They are now almost 5 months old and I already wanted them fixed a month ago, but Blackhawk Vet told me the soonest appointment available was a month from when I scheduled it. I honestly regret not calling around, but like I said, the staff was nice, so I decided to wait the month.On the day of the 'neutering appointment' (or so I thought) they charged me over $170 for two kittens to have a rabies shot and a stool sample checked. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

My dogs love it there! They treat them so well. They are polite and spend alot of time explaining to you. I drive an hour away because of how well my dogs are treated and how much they love it there.

I had both the furkids in to get their nails trimmed. Joe, a notorious crybaby from way back and Bit, a bigger scaredy cat than any cat I have ever known, both came through the ordeal with flying colors, all on their own (since The Rona has everything upside down and backwards still). Kudos to the staff!

My hairless cat "Trey" needed surgery do to him eating a peice of ribbon. Blackhawk took great care of him and he is doing great now. This clinic is amazing!! The staff is so friendly and caring. Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart.
