We have been going to Animal Care Center since 2022 and the entire staff there have been wonderful. Dr.Levine, Dr.Hughes, and all the others have been so kind. Dr. Hughes, especially, is so good at explaining any change in condition and treatment plan. The front desk staff and all the techs have also done such a wonderful job. Our Westies Molly and Santa feel at ease with all of them. The facility is also extremely tidy and making appointments is easy. I highly recommend them to any pet parent. ACC of buffalo grove, thank you for all you do.

I brought my puppy to Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove to be neutered - what a wonderful experience! The staff was super friendly and the procedure could not have gone any more perfect! I was was given very clear discharge instructions - so I left there very comfortable on post neuter care. I also saw they do grooming! What a bonus! ❤️🐾

This place has changed for the worse. No more friendliness, every appointment is fast-paced, and I feel like a number instead of feeling valued. The last time I took my pet to this place, I felt rushed and that they really didn't care to find out what was going on with my pet. Will be bringing my pet somewhere else. I recently made an appt for my pet here and basically had to turn around and go home because I was running a little bit behind, and they would not give me a grace period like before. Rude staff on the phone as well.

I've rated this location before but I am compelled to give this ACC of BG another 5 star review for their hard work. My westie, Molly, has prescription medications that due to the FDA, became difficult to acquire. They worked very hard to try to track down a pharmacy who will be able to deliver us the medication. We are hopeful to be in touch with a pharmacy by today. Thank you so much for your diligence.

So far, I have had nothing but good experiences from both Buffalo Grove and their sister clinic in Barrington- but today takes the cake. My dog Milo is a mini golden doodle and he has been taking the chewable flea and tick medication for the last 7 months. Today he was officially over the weight recommended on the box. I already used one of the tablets from the 6-month pack, so I was scared I wouldn’t be able to trade it out for the right weight and have to spend over $150 to get the right type for his size. NOPE! Went into the Buffalo Grove clinic and they assisted me right away. They understood my dilemma and made it super hassle free to address it. I was able to switch out the pack for 5 new tablets and it only cost the cost difference between the 2 types. I once again left feeling so incredibly valued as a pet owner. Thank you SO much to all the staff for all you do for the pets and their humans alike!! You are so appreciated 😊❤️🙏

Dr. Levin and staff are amazing from the minute you walk into the center, to the time you leave. The love they have for their jobs just shines through. Gabbi’s tail never stopped wagging. Couldn’t be happier!She loved it so that we are going back to get groomed too!

I recently found a stray orphan kitten who is no older than 3 or 4 weeks. The staff there was WONDERFUL! The receptionist was kind. Both the technician Chelsie and Dr. Hughes were super helpful and insightful. I've never owned a cat much less an orphan kitten but they gave me some great advice on how to care for my new kitten.

The staff here is very kind and friendly, and the facility is clean and welcoming. Dr. Levin is a great vet and is very friendly and compassionate. My puppy and my senior dog both get treated with the same amount of care and attention here, and I love that. They were also able to get my puppy in immediately after he got a hold of some grapes a couple of month ago, which made a very scary situation much easier for me. My senior dog just got groomed here too, and she looks awesome. This is an all around great facility!

I don’t normally leave reviews, but this time I feel compelled. I live in LA, but I’m in Buffalo Grove visiting my family. My little furball Emmett was in pain, and I needed to get him to a Vet asap. I called several places close to me, and none could get him in. I called the Animal Care Center in Buffalo Grove randomly. They said bring him in right away. I’m so glad the other places couldn’t take us! I felt like I won the Lotto with finding them. They made a horrific experience for a dog owner, into a palatable experience that I don’t think I would’ve got anywhere else. Turns out he had pancreatitis. From the minute I walked in, until 5 days later of daily treatments, we were treated with compassion, knowledge, professionalism, respect and true kindness. The front desk, the techs (Jacie, Kayla, Anna, Chelsea, Kaylee) were so helpful, and empathetic to what I was going through. They’re not just doing a job, they care about the animals that come in, and the people who bring them. Then there’s Dr. Hughes. I felt so bad that she spent so much time explaining what he’s going through and what needs to be done. But she did because she cares and is amazing at her job! She called me to see how he was doing, then called to explain his new results. She went above and beyond. The whole staff should be teaching other facilities how to do it right. I never want my pup to go through this again, but if I’m ever in town and he needs a Vet, there’s no question I’d be going back to them, and would recommend them to anyone who needs the best care and also at a reasonable price. Kudos to the Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove, you’re the best! Thank you so much for helping my boy get better🙏 With gratitude, Mike S

My girlfriend and I have a 6 month old Cavapoo Mix puppy who we’ve taken to Animal Care for grooming once before. Let me begin by saying that the staff are all wonderful and neither I nor my girlfriend have any ill-will towards them. Today we had an appointment for our second groom with Animal Care Center. Our appointment time was scheduled for 12pm CST and Colby (our puppy) was dropped off at the time scheduled. While at work, I received an update from my girlfriend that Colby was not ready yet and that she would be calling for an update. At this point it is 3pm and the receptionist expressed that Colby would not be ready for another HOUR AND A HALF. I am not one to get flustered easily, maybe there was an explanation or maybe sh*T just happens. Either way, I had reached out a second time about 30 min later to understand the situation better. In speaking with the receptionist 3 things became clear. There is NO communication between front desk and groomer, the groomer cannot be held accountable for appointment times, and no solutions were going to be provided. I was told the reason for our SMALL PUPPY being locked in a cage patiently waiting for 4 hours was that there was an issue with an earlier appointment. Hello? Maybe an update call? Something? No.We will not be returning, and I personally will do everything in my power to make certain those I know who have pets and live in the area steer clear. (At least while the specific groomer working today is there). Shame on you Animal Care Center. Do better.

I would give 10 stars and 10 hearts if there was an option!A scary situation with one of my beloved pups led to an unexpected veterinarian switch and did we luck out! Dr. Levin and his staff are simply incredible…professional, warm, caring, compassionate, friendly, and welcoming. Not only did they see us immediately, but he diagnosed the issue and provided us with the options we had, followed through, and took the time to explain thoroughly, and patiently answer my endless questions. So excited to welcome this new gem in our neighborhood and feel very blessed and deeply grateful to know that our pups will have the very best of care with Dr. Levin and his wonderful, kind staff

Dr. Levin is the best! The place is really nice and clean! The people are very friendly! I have a 13 year old cat and a 5 year old dog. I feel like I can really trust that they are giving me all the options and explaining what's best. They did not force me or make me feel guilty about any optional treatments. I have found my vet!

I highly recommend taking your pet to the Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove. Dr. Levin was welcoming, friendly and made my year old Golden Retriever feel comfortable on his first visit. Dr. Levin thoroughly examined my dog, explained what he was doing during the exam and the options for treatment. The office itself was modern, inviting and pleasant. I will continue to take my dog to Dr. Levin and will recommend this practice to family and friends.

First, the staff here is absolutely fantastic. Dr. Krol, Dr. Hughes, and the rest of the team were extremely polite and attentive throughout our entire visit. Second, I feel the need to call out that the Buffalo Grove Animal Care Center is not just for wellness and routine checkups, but also surgical procedures. I read through most of the reviews, but do not believe this called out. For those who are considering something above and beyond, see below.Yesterday, we brought in our 18 month old English Bulldog due to an intestinal blockage. At the time, we were unsure of the cause, but knew there was something wrong. Due to a history of emergencies surgeries ( IVDD in our previous French Bulldog), we were very comfortable with an alternative facility. However, due to urgency, we opted to visit the Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove. Upon calling, they were very accommodating with scheduling an immediate visit, and post examination, we were presented with multiple paths to go forward. We opted to confirm the blockage via a barium test, but ultimately agreed upon surgery when the test confirmed the blockage.From start to finish, we were given the confidence that the team was comfortable with the procedure. Prior to starting, we were given status updates, and post-surgery, we were given a full rundown of the operation. I couldn’t be happier with the level of professionalism and execution when dealing with a high stake situation. Additionally, the level of care shown to our dog was fantastic.Super happy with the Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove, and will 100% be back.

We had an amazing experience here with Dr. Levin and friendly staff. We were seeing him at a previous clinic and when he started his own we stayed with the previous one because it was much closer. But after a few times of going back, nobody compared to Dr. Levin so we made our way over to his facility. Such a great experience. He cares so much about our boy and makes us feel good taking him to see Dr. Levin for care.

Dr. Levin and his staff were very patient and understanding to our dog’s needs and everything she has been through already. Dr. Levin listened to all of the details and made his recommendations after examining our dog and reading the enormous background file that was collected and sent to him prior to our visit. If you're looking for a truly caring, compassionate, reliable & honest place to take your precious pet and much-loved member of your family for care, look no more. Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove is the place to go!! It was very clear to me from the moment I walked in with our cat Max that the staff loves animals. Never once when I called the office did I get a recording and have to leave a message. It was so rare & refreshing to hear Kayla's cheerful & friendly voice willing to answer any questions I had, big or small, with so much patience (another rare thing these days!!) Dr. Levin was wonderful and Kaylee, Lexi & Kayla were always so happy to see Max and treated him so nice. I think Max actually looked forward to seeing Lexi with her happy and soothing voice to greet him each day. I feel that Max got the best treatment that was available for him. He was very ill, 13 years old and & nearing the end of his life. My son really liked Dr. Kroll who explained everything honestly and clearly when we had to realize that everything that could possibly be done had been done, and it was time for Max to make his journey to the Rainbow Bridge where he would be young, healthy, happy and run free again. The staff made Max so comfortable, and I will never forget the heartfelt compassion that was shown by them. Thank you everyone at Animal Care Center of Buffalo Grove!!

This is by far the best vet clinic around! We started going here in July of 2022. We brought in our 15 year old female border terrier (Hunny)in as she was coughing a lot and had no idea why. The vet staff was super friendly upon walking in. They were able to manage her symptoms and explained everything in a easy to understand manner. We then brought in our 12 year old male border terrier (Nike)for a check up and decided it was time for him to get neutered(opps) . The surgery went well and again explained everything that had to be done so he could heal properly. They called frequently to check in on him! That's super hard to find! We just brought the 15 year in for a grooming appointment and the groomer did a pretty good job, giving her a short cut. We highly recommend this clinic!

Everyone is very friendly and they really make you feel welcomed! I love how they truly care about your pet(s) and their wellbeing. Some Animal Hospitals lack in that department. Jake took care of my pup greatly! Jake is very knowledgeable and friendly. I like how I was provided options and even given a follow-up to make sure everything worked/went well! I highly recommend this Animal Hospital!

We just moved to BG and got so lucky to find this place for our dog at first try! Dr. Levin and all his staff are so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Levin listened carefully to some of the things that I was worried about for our dog and didn’t rush things. He was patient and explained everything very thoroughly. This is by far one of the best animal care places we have been apart of for our dog.

Update: I went back to animal care center for my other dog and was impressed with their services. I will definitely continue to bring my dogs here.Overall not the best experience. Everyone was super nice and compassionate. Very clean and professional center. However, the vets diagnoses was wrong and ended up putting my dog on a steroid which was not necessary at all. My dog had fleas, not allergies. If the woman vet would've combed through his fur or even just looked at him they would've found fleas. It was my own fault for not doing a thorough combing but I expect more from a vet and now my dog has been on a steroid for absolutely no reason. I'm not sure if I'll bring him back. Very disappointed.
