This place is worth a drive off old Rt. 66. Great memorabilia and selfie opportunities! The burgers and fries were good, but not exceptional so go for the ambience. The strawberry shake was delicious!

Cute place ! Food is decent , and prices for food are very fair considering food prices nowadays to eat out. My kids and I all enjoy the diner's interior decor. My younger kids like the " fun house " style mirrors best !Kid-friendliness: Fun 50s style diner , my kids all enjoy it !

To start off, don't take my rating of 5 stars as set in stone. I'm rating them at five stars because the attraction itself seemed really nice. But they were not open when we were there. So we could not sample the food. It may be real good. But without trying it, I didn't think it would be fair to rate them less without at least trying to food first. So take my rating with a grain of salt. The attraction it self is excellent. I probably should give them 5 stars for the attraction itself. So five stars it is.I love the characters for the experience. As well as the photo opts. The Polk-A-Dot is also a very short walk across and steps down the street from the Braidwood Zoo. So it's kind of like two attractions in one stop. But be careful crossing the road if you walk over.

I loved the place. But you have to maintain the statues and paint them. But I liked the food place. We couldn't get in because they open at 11 in the morning and we went earlier.

What a fun atmosphere inside the dining room, parking lot and even the restrooms. The food is typical burgers, fries and shakes. We were very happy to have stopped here during our Illinois Rte 66 trip.

Great Historic Route 66 old school drive-in diner experience for the whole family! These are the type of restaurants that bring back a nostalgic trip down memory lane. From the classic from over hanging drive-in roof outside to the gleaming chrome inside this is roadside Americana at its best. Very cool statues outside of Elvis, the Blues Brothers, Superman, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and Betty Boop. Classic drive-in food, from burgers and hot dogs to ice cream make this a can't miss on your Route 66 roadtrip.

Best chili I had in a long time, get anything here with chili and you will love it. The route 66 decor on the inside and out and history make this a must see and must eat. DON'T YOU DARE GO TO MCDONALD'S, not worth it and you get bang for your buck and certainly get your kicks on route 66 at this iconic spot.

We had amazing time at this little old school dine-in restaurant on Route 66.The decor was a total theme of '50s through 70s movie Star diner.They have a great jukebox full of Elvis, Buddy Holly, and all of the old classics.The kids had a great time taking pictures with the statues.I would like you to beware however if you order the cheese frys; be prepared for some serious cheesiness!!!

We are traveling Route 66 and found this cute diner. The inside is 50s. They have 25 cent music boxes at each table. Pictures of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, blues brothers and Lucy & Ricky. Very entertaining! They serve Burgers, Hot Dogs, Milk shakes, Fries...etc.

Mashed potatoes and gravy were kind of good except they microwave the Styrofoam so you get that chemical taste in the food. Plus the potatoes were instant. I was hungry and so I ended up dipping the fries in the gravy. The mashed potatoes I had to throw away. The grilled cheese was dry and the bread was pretty firm But that may have been my fault, asking for light butter

We rode a lovely round-about route to the 50's Polka Dot Drive In on old Rt. 66 in Braidwood. A popular destination for visitors and locals alike. Can get busy but so worth the wait. Delicious food at this old time drive-in food with friendly people and plenty of room and attractions to make it a great place to stop. Can't wait to do it again.

I always stop here whenever I am around town -- the chili cheese fries are deservedly famous! Good service, historic spot right on 53. I recommend getting the au jus or italian beef dipped (if they do that) as ours were too dry on their own.

Funky life-size figures of nostalgic famous people. It is the last of those popular drive-in but they don't come out to your car and the juke box is out of order. Chocolate shake was delicious

Horrible food! I wish my order wasn't a to go order! I would have complained right then and there! I should have taken a picture to post also, but I have never had to make a complaint on a restaurant before! ! I ordered a tenderloin sandwich with everything on it, something I don't usually order out. It was pathetic! Just awful! It had, I kid you not, 2 little cubes from a chopped onion on it and about what would amount to half a packet of ketchup and one, yep one, pickle chip! That's it!.It also tasted like fish, as did my fries.. CLEAN YOU FRYERS OR HAVE A DESIGNATED FISH FRYER! I visit this establishment in the summer months, as I have a classic car. I had never ordered food, only ice cream and sodas. ... That is the way it is going to stay and I will not be sending them any buisness!

A must stop and see on Historic Route 66 and while you are there, try some of their world famous chili cheese fries! Delicious! Friendly service, good eats, and with a retro Vive!

The oasis after a nice long hike, burgers and fries in the finest traditional drive in way. The bacon double cheeseburger we had and my son's pork tenderloin were divine. Enjoyed with an order of perfectly cooked fries, Richie and the Fonz could have came in anytime. Unfornately someone forgot to give the jukebox Fonz' touch. We enjoyed this with all kinds of neat folks..vacationers, motorcycle tourist groups and families alike. Next time we do desert too.
