I would give less than 1 star if possible, probably worse pharmacy in the area. Takes 3 days to get antibiotics filled. You get called for meds ready to pick up and get there and nothing. Today there is something wrong with the phones and you get Joe each time telling you she can hear and to call back ??? I tired 3 different phones, same issue- the issue is on their end. So frustrating. Seems like the staff is new weekly with minimal experience.

This Walgreens is awful. We went there for the first time for prescriptions. Stopped at the drive through for prescriptions from urgent care, they said the prescriptions would be ready in 30-35 minutes. No offer to contact us when they were ready so we assumed that it would be ready in 35 minutes. We confirmed their hours with them at that time. They said open until 10 pm. We waited 47 minutes and pull up, they have a sign in the window stating they closed the drive through. There was no mention of this when asked about their hours from the drive through earlier. Went inside, the prescriptions still were not ready! When confronted with how we just asked earlier of their hours, why were we not informed of the drive through closing they stated “normally the drive through is not closed but they decided to close it. Too bad.”

Does anyone work here?? I've had a prescription sent in twice that just up and disappeared from existence. No call it was in or anything.No one will answer the phone either. Just keeps ringing and someone puts it back on the hold loop over and over. This place sucks.

Would rather not give one star but have no choice. I hate Walgreens so much so much. But it's closest to getting pictures done. I placed an order before the store was opened. Said it would be ready at 930. I go at 1245 on my lunch at work. They are still not done. They told me they were busy. I'm sorry don't say a time when it won't be ready. Also, you should probably be nice and not mean. What the heck. I'll drive farther from now on. I seriously am never going back here ever again.

Been waiting on a prescription delivery for almost 2 weeks. Called the pharmacy told them i was waiting for the prescription they asked me my name, i told them and then was told they couldnt track it. was transferred to somewhere? after i told them i was waiting on a prescription delivery i was immediately transferred again back to pharmacy i assume. Was then told that they basically just threw my delivery out which is what I suspected because the app said “order received” this whole time. Changing pharmacies asap. This place has given me too much trouble recently not worth all the stress and anxiety of will they fill my prescription or not. It’s honestly disgusting they would do this to people.

I agree with all the bad reviews on Walgreens in Bourbonnais. I called asked for store manager..no answer. Asked for pharmacy manager..no answer. Asked for photo...no answer. Finally got through to a cashier who said she'd call pharmacy to ask them to pick up. Got a very rude girl who told me they have 100 scripts ahead of me. Filed a complaint with corporate. Guess what corporate does! They have the store manager call you up with excuses. I was double billed for this script & manager said I have to go into the store & show my receipt to get a refund. They can keep it! Never walking into this store again!! SHUT THIS STORE DOWN!

Worst pharmacy staff, kept telling me insurance won’t cover meds, called my insurance company they tell me pharmacy never even put it through. Took a week of going back and forth with them. Asked them to call insurance company, they say they are to busy it’s my problem.

Called them to transfer a burn cream prescription to their pharmacy three days ago, the lady assured me the pharmacist would handle it and i would get a text when it was ready. Never heard from them again. ended up having to wait until jewel restocked it today and went all weekend with an infected burn on my leg. i now understand why this place has a 2 star rating on google.

I don't know if it's a staffing issue or what but the drive thru is closed. Handicapped people such as myself cannot stand in the inevitable long line. Makes it much worse when only one person is taking care of that aisle long line. This business can do much better to serve this community then what it currently is offering

Worst customer service they get very defensive when you ask them a question. Did with the pharmacist told me to do in order to get my medication on time that never happened. And then they make it seem like it's your fault. Wish there was another place to go around here.

Waited 1/2 hour for covid shot. When first going up to counter where it said covid check in, no one acknowledged me until I asked the tech and she said that someone would be with me. My appointment was for 5:30 pm, it is now6:01 pm. Still no acknowledgement. I run my own business, this is not acceptable

Customers are sick & tired of it, I would never go here, there for a friend only who's in the process of moving to OSCO for the same reason I had

The don't deserve even one star -- The pharmacy is absolutely horrible -- I've been in healthcare for over 35years and never been talked to like I'm ignorant - they don't explain the process thoroughly and then turn it around on you -- Pharmacist very unprofessional -- Never will use them again

If I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would! The pharmacy has the most rude, incompetent, and lazy employees ever. It all started with taking a prescription there for my father on July 20th. The pharmacist at first put the prescription in their system incorrectly, then claimed they couldn't read the prescription. I was then told because it was for a medicare prescription that it was coded the wrong way. Instead of telling me how it needed to be coded they just gave the paper prescription back to me. On August 3rd, after spending the afternoon at my doctor's office while the nurse called Walgreens and confirmed what needed to be on the prescription, I was once again denied getting it filled. My doctor told me to go to Walgreens because they knew how to fill the prescription needed (Freestyle Libre 2 sensors through Medicare). The technician behind the counter kept asking me if we had other insurance, I told her my father had medicare and I was told by the doctor's office and a Freestyle Rep that the sensors would be covered by Medicare. Then she proceeded to try to hand me a pamphlet about what Medicare covers and claimed that Medicare has never covered Freestyle products and never will. After a very frustrating conversation and being talked down to by the technician I left. I then returned with a free sample card that my doctor's office gave me, thinking we can at least get one sensor while figuring out the whole Medicare process. I went to the counter and gave the tech behind the counter the sample card. Instead of actually putting the numbers into the system to see if the sensor would be covered, she GOOGLED to see if they would take the sample card with my father being on Medicare. She then told me it wouldn't work and got upset with me when I asked for the paper prescription back. I went to Meijer Pharmacy and had the free sensor and the process started with Medicare to cover the additional supplies within 15 minutes of going into the store. I was told many times at Walgreens that they don't bill through Medicare and don't know how to do it. However, the tech at Meijer (who happened to be a former Walgreens tech), said they do that all the time and know how to process these claims through Medicare. All that needed to be done was to process the sample card without putting in the Medicare information. Heaven forbid the Walgreens tech had to type more into the computer than just her google search. I am so disappointed that this is how individuals who are supposed to be helping people act. If you are going to be lazy and not do your job, then maybe you need to seek employment elsewhere.

would put 0 stars if i could. they dont pick up the phone at all. I was on hold for 20 min. throughout the wait time, the phone would be picked up and placed directly on hold as soon as it would ring. at the 20 min mark, I was hung up on. I called again, and after another 7 min wait, I gave up. this place needs to pick up the phone. they need to higher more people.

I am officially done with this Walgreens and all other Walgreens, if I can help it, after I pick up my last prescription this weekend. For context, I live 25-30 minutes from this pharmacy.Last month when my prescription was sent in to the pharmacy, I called in to see when it was ready to be filled. Of course you can't just call the actual pharmacy and speak to someone that actually handles your medication, no. When you call the store and ask for the pharmacy, you get sent to a completely unhelpful customer service line that can't tell you ANYthing about your medication. Long story short, it took multiple phone calls, 3+ hours of waiting on hold and being disconnected at least half a dozen times over the course of 4 days to finally just ask a person when it was due to clear the insurance.The same thing happened again this month. Put in 3 requests for a refill, didn't get any texts or emails or phone calls on whether it was ready or not, requested a refill one more time and finally received a text saying it was delayed. Tried calling MULTIPLE times to get the exact date, customer service couldn't tell me anything because the order was already submitted. One day customer service transferred me to my pharmacy, I waited on hold for 45 minutes only for someone to answer the phone, IMMEDIATELY hang up and send me to a customer satisfaction survey. Needless to say, that survey was not nice. At all. Made several more calls over the next 3 days. Customer service would send me to a dead end voicemail, the store associates would hang up on me, I could not talk to anyone in the actual pharmacy no matter how hard I tried.All I wanted to do was ask when was it due so I could plan my trip to town accordingly since it's an hour out of my day just driving to the pharmacy, not counting the wait time.I'm done. Walgreens has lost my business.

Today 06/30 at 6:30ish I drive through the drive through to get fever medication for my 2 year old son. He has a highly infectious virus and has a fever between 103.5-104. On the Walgreens website it clearly states you can buy OTC medications like infant fever medication through the drive thru. The blonde pharmacist and blonde pharmacy tech with glasses refused to service me. Whats sick is that they took joy out of seeing mine and my sons suffering like some sick, twisted power trip. It disturbs me that individuals like themselves work “servicing” the public. I drove back around the building and after double checking the website I again asked to be serviced for the fever medicine which they refused. I told them I was once a pharmacy tech and I know how the process works;( but when I was a pharmacy tech I actually wanted to help people.) This was pure laziness and contempt on their behalf. They were openly laughing and getting a kick out of the situation and they walked away from windows unprofessionally. I drove to front of building and parked at this point forced to carry my highly infectious and miserable son inside. As I approached the fever medication I heard the the two blonde women loudly talking about me and stating to a younger woman in braids that they would “call the cops on me for harassment” if I pulled back through again…. I said: call the cops? They seemed shocked to see me there in the store as if they hadn’t forced my hand into coming in. I said: I need assistance with choosing my medication for my son. I said: look at him look how sick he is. The blonde woman rolled her eyes and again refused to assist me but forced the woman in braids to come help me. She walked away unprofessionally (the blonde) saying: you can’t make me feel bad. To which I replied: I hope you all get this virus for making me come in here and go through this. To help identify the blonde women they were two larger women who are both in serious need of dental work; and both wore glasses. I remember they needed dental work because when they SMILED at me after refusing to help me and my son three times I could see their broken and gapped teeth. I was not profane: all I asked them to do was help me get medication for my son. I am disgusted that these two women got sick pleasure from denying me services. I want to thank the woman in braids as she was the only one who seemed concerned for me or my son.

This store has insane wait times. My finance’ had spine surgery and a pain medicine and Valium was called in at 10 am. I went to the store to pick it up and they told me that they just received it, which I know wasn’t true because I verified before we left the hospital today. I explained that his anesthesia was wearing off I needed it for him asap. Again. No help. I asked for a manager and Tirea told me that they were short staffed and there was nothing she could do. Never a sympathetic word from anyone. Their short staffing issues aren’t a customer in dire need of pain relief problem. I waited there for 45 minutes longer before I finally received his medicine. Unprofessional, rude and non sympathetic on all levels.

I’d give them less than one star if possible. Always an excuse. The computers are down. We are short staffed. And then they’ll lie too. Like the doctor hasn’t called it in yet. Yes they have, I can see it as in progress in the Walgreens app. Absolute trash pharmacy. I will never use again. Plus no matter what time you go in there the shelves are empty. Need to either close this location or get it properly staffed.

Do NOT get your medicine from this location. Every day no matter the time youll wait 45 mins+ just to get a prescription. Today I went to pick up my medicine. I am unable to go inside and this is now the 3rd day theyve had a sign saying the drive thru is closed. This has also been happening on and off for months....anyway I again cant get my medicine. Call to see if this is a permanent thing and the rude employee says "our drive thru is open".....I said "I just drove through and again the sign 'drive thru is closed come inside' is up for the 3rd day, I just need to know if I need to switch pharmacies because I cant come inside and I need my medicine" Mayeisha the employee then sighed and HUNG UP on me.Im over it, Ive been trying to let them figure their staffing out and give the benefit of the doubt because everywhere is short, Ive been a long time Walgreens customer. After this experience I immediately called my PCP and am having all future meds transferred to Meijer. Im just one person, but if anyone else is still putting up with this sort of behavior from this location....make the switch. They clearly dont care about their customers. If enough people leave maybe something will FINALLY been done. Nothing but issues for well over a year.

I was running low on my prescription and called in for a refill. They didn’t get back to me until two days later to say it was delayed. I had to wait on the phone to finally get in touch with someone after 20 minutes of waiting just to tell me they were out of stock and had to order more. That took 5 extra days. Terrible communication and unprofessional staff. Don’t trust this pharmacy or the Walgreens corporation as a whole.

Expect to wait 1-2 days. It took nearly 24 hours for them to pull eye drops for my scratched eye. They didn't have to mix it, they didn't have to count past 1. I don't know what has happened to this Walgreens but its been terrible the last few times I've filled my scripts here.Ridiculous!

Seriously, there's a reason this place has 2.2 stars (at the moment). They are the absolute worst. Enough with the understaffed excuse. Months and month and months and they haven't fixed the problem apparently. There's no other way to put it, this place sucks. Go elsewhere!!

I have never NOT had a problem with the pharmacy here. Every month getting my prescriptions filled was a struggle. Walgreens contacted ME to set up, “save a trip” for my monthly prescriptions & had me under the impression that they would be auto-refilling every month on a certain day but that was never the case. My meds were never ready on time, always some sort of delay or issue, customer service in-store & over the phone is a joke. ETC. 😒
