Goodwill has yet sunk to an even lower level... way to rip off hard working Americans that shop your stores because they cannot afford to shop elsewhere. Me, I will not be giving you my money again! Stick your brown bags where the sun doesn't shine!!!

The shelfs are over loaded its almost dangerous pick one item and half the shelf falls out. Then when you want to check out stand in line for ever every time I come here it's like this. 5 register and usely 1 open they be calling for help and nobody comes. Should be able to fix this.

I’m someone who relies on thrifting to fashion myself. I’ve lost 300lbs in 3 years, and while one would think shopping second hand would be financially feasible, at this particular goodwill, it is not. Certain things are grossly marked up. $30 Nike sweaters, when I can get that brand new at Kohls. The older manager is incredibly rude. I literally heard this woman scream at a customer who walked into the store 15 mins before they closed, telling her to get out and that she can’t shop here because they closed in 15 minutes? If your store is open till 7pm, then that’s exactly what that means. Don’t be nasty to people for no reason. Life is already trash as it is, and some of these employees wear their trash attitudes on their foreheads.Came here to update, Lori is the name of the manager who I’ve seen yell and I mean, yell at people. This is including customers and employees. She literally screams at the top of her lungs, and her attitude and actions gave me such bad anxiety, I ended up walking out of the store. Lori, you probably wouldn’t be so miserable if you maybe valued anything other than your own ego. Your power trips that I’ve seen and heard you go on while I was in the store was disgusting behavior. You act like a little brat who didn’t get their way. 🤢

I go to this store at least once a week and gotta say the one manager that works at the bourbonnais store is so nice and always smiling. I think her name is gretchen she's my favorite and she always has something nice to say and always so helpful an kind. They definitely need some work over there and hopefully they can keep her because seems like the others are so grumpy and just don't like their job and don't do much

Very good store got some new shorts to style in the summer. It was a very clean store. It had a wide selection walked out with more than I was going to buy would definitely go back.

This is a pretty decent Goodwill. I shop here regularly considering there aren't many thrift stores in the area. I took off one star because the employees just throw things on the shelves (I've watched them do it.) So some aisles are messy. I took another star off because some of the prices at this store are ridiculous and it has kept me from purchasing items many times. For example, I've seen items from Dollar Tree marked at $1.99-$2.99. I used to live in Naperville and even the Goodwill there was cheaper.

Was hired to work in inventory by Holly at the Bourbonnais Store. She was the nicest person, hired me on the spot. Told me I would be training for 8 weeks & not to worry that everyone was super nice & helpful. I started right away, but Holly was not there. I was trained by another Manager for 30 minutes. She walked me around the warehouse & showed me all the different stations. After 30 minutes, I was then given my own station & told to work on my own. I had never done this type of work, it was literally back breaking work! You have to use heavy equipment & machinery & the do not even train you how to use it. I was asking questions, left & right because I had no idea what I was doing!!!. They were annoyed & angry with me for not knowing what I was doing. Then they had the nerve to tell me I needed to price 700 pieces an hour & that I was going too slow! The worst management & company I ever worked for!!! I’m sorry Holly this is not directed at you but the other Manager. I just wish the job description would have been better explained. I would have never took the job….Especially for 13/Hr.

I've seen some of the reviews about this location online and never visited until today... well the reviews were right the older manager was beyond rude to me and my daughter.. I will never come back... sad that goodwill would employee someone like that..

Employees are well trained, level headed, and uphold store policy exceptionally well. I'll definitely be coming back here, it's the first place I've actually seen actively uphold what they post on the door. The employees are friendly and helpful as well, can't recommend this goodwill location enough.

Store has changed. Its awful. They condensed the housewares and glassware way down. The shelves are packed ,when you reach for things they fall and break. This store used to be the best around. Not anymore.

Wont shop here because of the manager, she is very unpleasant to talk to let alone deal with. I pick up a very strong holier than thou vibe from her and every run in ive had with her ive left feeling very frustrated. This last time i was getting ready to checkout and noticed that my item was damaged and missing pieces. I asked if they would be willing to lower the price in light of this and the Manager’s responses seem almost programmed and directly negative in nature. It seems like she not very receptive and is immediately on the defense. She Was not willing to work with me instead i felt like i was the one insulting her by wasting her time by the sound of her response to me. At which point i just gave up, there is no sense in fighting a losing battle. I have to say ive had better experiences with used car salesmen the way she ran me over. i will not be returning. Prices are just way too high for DONATED goods which 98 percent of the time have flaws. They are taking blantant advantage of their patrons. Ive read alot of similar reviews about this place and regulars are fed up and simply not shopping here anymore. Theres is a reason why they say the customer is always right and i think they are already feeling the affects of their very sub par management. I just like to say for the record im not usually this long winded and subjective on customer service but whats happening here is ruining this store and the shopping experience for alot of people and needs to be addressed.

The store was over stocked completely. I was in there for about 20 minutes and walked past several employees and other people during this time along with my girlfriend. On my way to check out and as I was getting into line one of the employees told me I had to wear a mask or I would have to leave (again after spending about 20 minutes in the store without one person saying anything to me. as I was walking to the check out to leave) I asked him if I could just make my purchases and head out. He said no that I would have to leave right now. I asked him if they had any masks that I could use and he said yes but they cost a dollar. I said okay I'll buy one. I got into line and was waiting, only to find that to my horror he was charging me for a mask from an open, unsanitary box and the masks were not individually wrapped!! He just took one of the top(after who knows how many hands had been inside the box by the time it got to me) I reluctantly put it on, and was checking out when my girlfriend came up to me. (She had been in the store as long as I was without anyone saying anything to her as well) the guy told her she needed to leave and she said she was but expressed that she was upset because during all of this time no one has approached her and that she was already on the way out, but he told her if she didn't leave right now that he was calling the police! So I just dropped my things on the checkout and we walked out. I left the mask and all of the stuff right there. It's a shame too, I was spending over $50 and Goodwill is a store that I've supported for decades. I love what they do and have never had any issues there. Now because of this one person who wouldn't just let me check out and leave, I will be looking for another thrift store to shop in. I have 5 kids and buying new clothes gets super expensive. I have always chosen Goodwill to do my shopping for them because it's the most affordable route for me to get their clothes. I will say this, if I was approached at the door about a mask I would have gladly put one on. If anyone would have said to me during my visit there I would have asked for one. My issue was that I was already on my way out when this guy who was being a jerk approached me. I mean, we were already in the process of leaving! As a result Goodwill lost $50 just because this man wouldn't let us simply check out. I will never go back to this location.

Usually a good selection of items. However, they seem to have removed the large furniture area. I came in look for a standing lamp and was surprised to find no types of furniture beyond table lamps. The back of the store has been reorganized completely as well.

It was ok.. large selection but I wanted to buy lamps but the had no bulbs for me too check and then asked me if I wanted to buy bulbs and check. So after asking could it be returned for at least a store credit if they didn't work after getting them home and I was told No!!!

This Goodwill is consistently well organized with enough selection to make it worth your while to visit.Recently they began sorting dresses by colour rather than size. No thank you. Other than this annoyance, it's a good store.

The people that have worked there for years not friendly at all and actually quite antagonizing. There was a new lady there today on register but the new ones are always nice. The boy with the long red hair that wears big ornamental earrings is quite rude.

If you want people to wear masks in your store fine but if you're not going to provide them for free don't turn people away for not having them and the little old man in the front of the store is rude and ignorant. Came to get a shirt for my son asked if I had a mask told him no to give me one and he said not my problem we sell them upfront talk about terrible service and ignorant employees just cause they're afraid of the flu. Don't shop here unless you wanna be attacked for wearing a mask followed me into the lot to fight but yet I was walking out with my 3 year old son.

Clean, well organized, fitting rooms available. The staff has always been nice. They have a discount program card, spend x amount get x amount.50% tag days, changes daily, there's a sign. Shopping carts available. Name brand clothing- men, women, children, plus; furniture, electronics, accessories, knick knacks, kitchenware.

There's nothing worse than going to a thrift store only to find that the staff goes through each and every item and prices them according to eBay prices. This store however does not. You can regularly grab great deals on things you're looking for and almost always find a few gems. There's a large volume donations that keeps inventory changing day to day. The store is clean, organized, safe, and staff friendly and helpful. Don't tell too many people about it!

I went to pay at counter was told couldn't sell me item for that price made a big deal about it took in back came up front item went from 6.99 to 19.99, they do not APRRECIATE CUSTOMERS, MANAGER VERY RUDE , and tell you they can do what they want there the manager , you don't change prices on your customers its the same thing they complain saying customers always changing tags , blame it on customers real good customer appreciation...

I've only been here once, and I don't usually write reviews for places I have limited experience with, but this place stands out.This place is huge; way bigger than most thrift stores I've been in. And the atmosphere is more like that of a Marshall's than a Goodwill. So even though I didn't leave with something, it really was the most pleasant thrift store experience I've ever had.Happy hunting!

Shelves over loaded the stuff fall's off and breaks. Prices higher than department stores. Stuff from dollar tree priced at 3 dollars or more. Better off shopping Walmart or Target.

My daughter is special needs and they kept harassing her about the way she was wearing her mask. She doesn't have the ability to follow and understand instructions like most of us do. Instead of recognizing this they just acted like bullies. We won't be back.

Recently visited, and ever since the last time I've last been there a couple years ago for some bulk shopping, the cleanliness has gone down the hole completely, and came across multiple employees who just weren't very respectful. Usually a pleasant place with nice people, rather disappointed

This place is Expensive. I went here one time just to see what it is they had and everything in here from clothes to shoes and other household items is expensive. And my sister went here only one time to purchase A nurse's scrub and children clothing. Pay at the Register and employee was rude.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, large well lit store, well organized, well stocked, clean, and very reasonable prices.Even the area for dropping off donations is super convenient.Not to be confused with any small or shabby thrift store.

If I could give less than a star I absolutely would. I went in with my mask on, with my nose exposed as I have asthma and it makes it EXTREMELY difficult to breathe. I was asked to leave the store. I have never been discriminated against before GoodWill. I will absolutely never step foot in this establishment again.
