This place is always a disgusting mess. Floors dirty/unswept/unmopped. There is always something on the floors blocking the isles. It's a shame nobody who works here cares. Corporate needs to come in and clean house and start with a whole new team. Sooner or later somebody is gonna trip and get hurt walking through there because of the lack of cleanliness. This place is truly sad. I will not be coming here again.

I was at this store yesterday morning. While shopping I heard an employee talking on the phone. When I was done with my shopping and I went to pay for my items this same employee was working the cash register , While this employee was scanning my items she was still talking on the phone and she had it on speaker phone. Not only could I hear the whole conversation but this is very unprofessional. Talking about another coworker while taking care of customer. I will not be back to this location. This store was always clean and not clutter like the other stores. But yesterday I couldn't even get down multiple aisles.

No washroom key for over 3weeks.Rude to not fix ... My kid was not happy. And it's sad that no one cares at this store . To do anything about it

Some of the cashiers need a serious attitude adjustment. Especially the older dirty blonde with glasses.Cant walk around the store from all the stock on big carts in ever single isle. Close over ever little thing at all hours of the day. I've started using the dollar general on hobbie ave (even thou this one is 3 mins down the road from me) because this one on convent is ridiculous anymore. Have all this stock yet cant keep basics in stock

So, I probably wouldn’t go in here again. Awful stench in there like cleaning products(bleach?) and my bag reeks. I can’t believe the stench. It is awful. Not to mention the obnoxious customers talking loudly & distracting you from your trip. 🙄Nice staff, but I wish they would’ve notified me about their deals!

Managers are present during opening time which is 8am they see customers and continue to have the doors locked passed opening time. Very unprofessional get new staff who can open on time or simply put a new store in that knows how to operate correct

This Dollar General is very messy. Many stock carts with items on to be put on shelves are in the aisles. It is very hard to get through the aisles and to see the items that you need. I do have to give credit to the staff they are very friendly and helpful. Just give them more help so they can clean up the aisles.

This store is horrible, the isles are always blocked you barely have room to get through. And forget about getting through with a cart. Their excuse is that they don't have anyone to put it away.

I have certain items that I've been buying there for years and you can't beat their prices other items you have to be careful of because sometimes they are of smaller size and cost you more money than you would pay at Kroger or Jewel. You have to know what you're buying when you shop at Dollar General even Dollar Tree. They are excellent for greeting cards very nice greeting cards and sometimes you could get them two for one. I buy all of my paper supplies there as well as cleaning supplies can't beat their prices.

Poor customer service, great store. My family and I frequent this store due to its convenient location. Often times we are met at the door by a very unpleasant clerk "Lesa". She complains about working holidays to customers, stating everyone should buy what they need before hand so that people like her didn't have to work. Mind you, it was Thanksgiving day and everyone can hear her. She is rude to children in the store who she assume is not accompanied by an adult. If you walk into the store 5 min before closing time she will rush you out by screaming " YOU HAVE 5 MINUTES! " continuously. The store itself is great as long as its Lesa's off day.

I gave 5 stars because the cashier was super nice!! She took the time to, wrap up my candle, really well!!! Then made sure I understood the best way to take it out of it's protective wrap without dropping it!! She really went above and beyond, even though there was a line.Plus, she did it ALL with a smile!! I so appreciated her care & kindness!! I will definitely go back to THAT store!!! My only regret is not getting her name. So, if you walk in and see a middle-aged woman with reddish hair and glasses, you KNOW that you're in good hands!! Thx!!

The place is a mess. Has been for a cpl years no inventory on shelves but plenty in boxes on carts blocking every isle. It could use a good scrub. Filthy. And one employee wreaks of alcohol...always. i gk to the bourbonnais store only if its an emergency. Sad since i live only a few blocks away.

Sometimes, all you need are extra large trash bags. My dad and I pulled over at dollar general next to Arby's hoping we could find just that. We indeed walked immediately to the garbage bag aisle where we were then confronted by many options of extra large garbage bags at which point we became overwhelmed and just bought the cheapest ones because we were after all just going to fill it with trash.

Dollar general is my favorite place es to shop. Great deals, name brand products. Their prices can't be beat.its easy to get in and out of there in no time. The staff there is always kind and helpful.

Good place to go to find cheap household items. Comes in handy when you need a lot of stuff like when someone moves into a new place. Be careful, though, cuz not everything is cheaper than, say, Walmart.

Never again. You had every single aisle blocked with stocking carts, most empty. Shelves are bare, and I couldn't even walk through the store! Employees leaving their phones playing music on merchandise shelving... I'm over it DG.

I come here more than I do Walmart because its fast, friendly and convenient. I like fast and easy shopping and this is the place for it. Not once have I had a bad experience.

They have wonderful people working there always willing to help They have so much bread milk bacon ice cream, juices , kool aid real lemon juice, real apple juice, real pineapple juice they have. Water Gatorade cookies candies potatoes chips and doritos hot chips baby items, shampoos Conditioners books toys fans detergent dryer sheets softner... mouthwash toothpaste African olive oil..everything you may need

Noticed a change in the greeting card display. Now there is a higher priced section that is a new option with a large $1 section and a much smaller $.50 display. I liked it.

This use to be my go to store before the remodel. Since the remodel, it's nothing but a giant cluster f*c* the 10 or so times I've been in there. Boxes everywhere and carts with stock blocking isles and shelves. Will not be going back for a while.

It was good love shop there alot the employees was nice special the guys he is very nice
