This Kruger location is okay. The store is generally clean. They have limited selections for many items because the store size is small compared to the other Krogers in town.

The older man who works in self checkout is very strange and somewhat creepy. He felt the need to repeatedly touch my wife as he was saying “behind you” which was apparently his way of asking her to move. He then proceeded to roll his eyes when my wife was confused at what he was doing. This same man months before questioned if her ID was real because she “looked way too young” and wouldn’t drop the topic.

There were no carts inside. My wife stepped in a puddle of blood in the meat area. ( when she mentioned it to me, the manager a few feet away turned his head to the conversation, and then away, avoiding what he heard until we walk back by and directly spoke to him ) The manager informed us it was a known leak. But wait, why was it not cleaned up and blocked off? People most likely should not be stepping in bacteria filled pools of blood and tracking the bacteria across the store for others to step in.... just a thought.

I was there by January 25 2023 around 8:30. There was a sale on chips when you buy four or more than that there will be 1.99 each and I bought more than four. Once I go for checkout and the one lady(Merlin) she told me you can't buy that and there was a guy he was very rude to me. If they don't want give us why they put on sell.

This is the 2nd encounter with the older woman at the self checkout being extremely rude and condescending for having to do her job. We aren't paid to check ourselves out, I do my best. I'm 53 years old and choose the high road of keeping my mouth shut and ignoring her as obviously management doesn't care, Ive seen many many terrible reviews of this woman, I will no longer shop at this Kroger because of her treatment of customers. Of course I'm sure management doesn't care but one day when a lot of customers never return maybe they may change their tune. What a bitter, miserable old hag!

Some employees from Kroger store on Oakland Ave are very rude, the customer service lady yells at customers, she (Merlin) has no respect. If you don't want to work, you'd better stay home and don't have to be so rude to people. I don’t want to give them even one star but there was no option to zero.

Very disappointed! I've been shopping here for over 10 years and they will not a 7 dollar coupon for pediasure. Even called up to "management" and their decision was not to honor the coupon. Pretty sad when you can't give 7 dollars off PEDIASURE for my son who desperately needs it. Do better for your long time customers. I know everyone by a first name basis in here and it pains me to write this but I feel it necessary. Thanks for making me drive to Jewel and wait in line even more. Coupon was valid, just because you don't know how to ring it up there's a wayEDIT: Jewel was very welcoming of my coupon and my business.

I really appreciate their grocery pickup. I never wait over 8-10 minutes for my order. The employees are very friendly. I'd recommend trying pickup. It saves me a couple of hours per week.

The blond young guy in the deli was one of the most polite, friendly, and sincere person I have come across in a long time! I wish I had gotten his name. My daughter thought the same way about him. Businesses need more of of that of help

It pains me to give this store a rating of one star. if there was a way to give them zero stars that would be more sufficient.At this point in time there is no way you could ever get me to walk back into the store. Very few stores are still limiting the purchase of toilet paper. So, if one doesn't know that and places in packages in their cart... Three kroger employees descend upon you simultaneously and shame you... Mind you, not one at a time, but all at once. A simple explanation of we are still limiting toilet tissue to one package is sufficient. But Kroger's on Oakland Street in Bloomington prefers to humiliate their long time customers who have regularly spent massive amounts of their hard-earned dollars patronizing only their store. Never mind that the prices are extremely high. If humiliating your customers is the goal, then you have done your job well! Congrats!

The cashier was phenomenal, and he bagged all my groceries himself! Didn't find exactly what I was looking for (fresh pre-chopped onion and pepper stir fry mix for fajitas, omelets) but they had plenty good high quality offerings and that made up for it. Overall, a really nice store with good value!

Could be the worst Kroger in America. The store manager should be fired, that's how bad the customer service is here. All the employees were rude except for the lady in the bakery. A guy with a broom was kind of chasing us around. Another lady told my daughter not to touch any of the toys unless she had bought them, which makes no sense since you have to pick the item up to bring it to the check out. Not only that, but as a customer she is allowed to pick items up, inspect them, and decide if she wants to spend her money buying it. This store was dirty and had a weak bakery, weak produce dept, and a weak deli. Normally we are huge fans of Kroger, but I would shop anywhere else instead of this store! I don't post this review lightly. Notice I have more than 600 reviews? I have been all over America and this store is the worst.

Great selection, fair prices, clean store. Staff are friendly and engaging. Store is not too crowded throughout the day. Would recommend to someone wanting to avoid the hassle of bigger stores.

The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is that my local store is one of the smaller, older stores so it doesn't have the variety that the super stores do. For routine shopping, it's just fine and the meat quality is very good.

I went at 9:30 am to send a money order. The desk person gave me a form to fill and explained the three parts I needed to fill out. As I started to fill it, I saw the account number. When I wanted to double check with the desk person about it, he screamed at me, "I just told which parts you needed to fill out". He took the form from me. I left and walked to a Walgreens 200 feet away.

Organized, great quality products and helpful employees. This is my favorite grocery store. I enjoy the online coupon options, as well as the rewards card. It's very easy to use (you don't even have to have it to access the great pricing just know the number!

This Kroger on Oakland has the nicest people working there. It’s my preferred over the one on North Main. Even if it is an older store, I have the best shopping time here.

Any price on the shelf you need to raise at least 15% if you don't have a Kroger shoppers card...not a customer discount card but a rebate card, and if you're from out of town tough. The prices are unseasonably high, help is surly 😠. Oh by the way don't expect to return anything even if you have a receipt and the tags are still on (the shirt). 😡

Most of the staff here is more friendly than the average grocery store, however all the hood rats hanging around are a real turn off. I have even witnessed multiple drug deals go down in the parking lot.

Best in service. Found no problems so far. Not enough vegetables sometimes but usually you should find what you are looking for. Good on saving if you have Kroger's membership ( Did I forget to mention membership is free to enroll )

Kroger on Oakland is lacking compared to the Kroger on college. A lot of the time they do not even have the sale prices ringing up correctly and if you are not paying attention they will get you for the regular price. Not sure how and why they cannot get it right. I only stop on Oakland if I need something quick otherwise I do not bother and go to college.

The store was not good for two reason! Restroom for public use was horrible! Not clean and evidence of poorly handled housekeeping. The second was I purchase a broccoli salad with a 2 piece chicken meal. The chicken was old with the texture of microwave chicken. It was tough and hard to chew. The broccoli salad was awful it had been made with no care taken to the coarseness of the stalk of the broccoli. It was like chewing a broomstick with mayonnaise. I WANT A REFUND!
