Family style grocery store, with a deli, produce section, bakery, pharmacy, meat section. Good selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. Home supplies for cleaning and the bathroom. Plenty of parking and conveniently located just off Veterans Parkway.

Most of the time they do not stock the shelves during sales. Hardly ever have enough staff handling customers. The college ave location never has the customer service staffed. The Oakland location also never had enough staff on the floor. Highly disappointed in both locations.

Just tried calling and was met with a rude employee who picked up the phone. I asked if someone could check if they had an item in stock and was told the bakery is closed. I then told him that the item was sitting in one of the freezers when I got it there last time by all the other cakes and pies and asked if someone could check it. The response I got was, "well, we're closing anyways and the only reason we picked up is cause we had to. Byeeeeeeee", and they hung up. It was the rudest interaction I've had over the phone and there was no reason for it. The store doesn't close for 3 more hours, so clearly the man was lying. Terrible way to treat people.

Great grocery store location that has a great selection. We can find many things at this store that we can’t find elsewhere. The staff is always friendly and very helpful as well. Highly recommend this location for any grocery needs, flowers, alcohol, IPass, etc. If you like thin crust pizza, try the Signature Select they sell as pictured, they are really good!

The lady with dark hair wearing glasses and a hat at the deli working around 2pm on 4/18/2023 needs to learn how to treat customers. I was treated with incredible rude and impatient behavior. You would think she was having a bad day, but she's treated me like this in the past. There's absolutely no need to be that unfriendly. Additionally, there has been several occasions where the products on the shelves are expired... So please be cautious and look for expiration dates before purchasing an item. I went to go buy some Panera Chicken Noodle Soup and they had all expired 6 days ago! Disgusting.

Great local place to shop! The staff is patient and understanding. They take the time to care for customers and get the job done. Senior discounts on every item Thursday and Tuesday is also a can’t beat offer. No other supermarkets I know of do that.

Don’t waste your time with the pharmacy. There’s always some issue or another with their computer system. The first few times I was here they had an error regarding my address preventing them from giving me my prescription. Now today they won’t take the same HSA card I’ve used several other times. On top of that the people working are incredibly rude.

Just ran in to get a few things. Everything I needed was in stock. There were were multiple cashiers,but I used self check out since I had only a few items. Store is always clean, and well stock, at least when I go there.

Today I went to the meat counter and asked for a few pounds of fish. The guy didn't even bother to wrap the fish up in any paper - just threw it into a plastic bag. Who does that? You could smell the fish from the bag because it wasn't wrapped up in paper, and all it would have taken would be a small hole in the bag to make the liquid start seeping everywhere. As soon as I got home, I had to spend time cutting up parchment paper and putting the fish into sealed bags myself so that it wouldn't stink up my freezer. Ridiculous.

This is the first time I've shopped here and I was mighty impressed. The store is very clean and neat. The aisles are well marked and stocked. They carry Dubuque canned hams no one else does. The checkout was quick and efficient and the checker was more than polite and cordial. I highly recommend this store.

I buy sale items only standard prices a little high but sales are excellentClerks are always helpful and pleasant. I am now a senior and I shop here on Tuesdays and Thursdays to get the 10% off all items. This makes their prices much the same as anyone else's. The great thing is it is a store that has it sales items on the shelf some of them do not.

I went for the fried chicken wings. They looked old and didn't taste good at all. The bakery/deli worker had poor customer service skills. I won't return.

Jewel food products are a hit and miss. I'm returning a pie I paid 7.99 for that had nothing in the Middle. Shopping there after 50 years have become a waste of my time. I'm always throwing something away.

I love shopping there. Some items a lil pricey but the buy one get two free makes up for that. The hearing impaired associate was so helpful. When she couldn't help me she got someone else to grab the items off the top shelf for me. 5 stars for her. But cashier Sandra did not say one word to me. I said hi and no response. I had to ask her what my total was. No thank you or anything. Had a great shopping experienced until I got to her register.

Absolutely LOVE "Jewel Osco" ever since I was a child! Now as of current, Lawanda is great & what can't I say about Abby... she is fabulous!!! Thank you for being my favorite grocery store of all time!!!

I had never been to this Jewel before, but it was on the way home so I chose to stop by and get some groceries done, I was surprised by how helpful the staff was when I was having a difficult time trying to find some of the things I needed. One of the employees went out of his way to look in the back of the store to find a particular item I didn't see in one of the aisle as it was emptied out. I am thankful for the staff who helped me get my groceries done and will be coming to this Jewel from now on.

The world's best pizza puffs are back at Jewell. I had to ask for them as there were none cooked. The staff fried some up and it was just like being back in Chicago for lunch. Only $1.99 each.

Can't remember the last time I was in this location, but now I know why. Not sure if they're serving baby chickens for their fried chicken or what but literally have never seen pieces so small before, or as dried out and so hard they were inedible, the breasts could have passed for jerky. If it was 8 o clock at night or something, I'd see how that could happen, but you'd think at 430 on a Thursday afternoon they'd have some sort of quality control. What little that was consumable, seemed to be salt infused, I don't get it good fried chicken isn't hard to do the cottage locations chicken is awful as well, guess it's how the chain does it! Avoid the "home made" tortilla chips in the produce section, unless stale chewy is your style then your in business. Also, if you're feeling down and need a good laugh, go check out their two for one deals. How do they stay in business???
