There is a gentleman by the name of Eric that works at the front desk, he provided my family EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE, and that needs to be recognized! Eric is professional and has a knack for this type of business. Has Eric had a promotion? If not, he needs one!The hotel is very clean! Minor construction going on in the lobby, but it did not disturb our stay. I will be staying again on our way back home to Texas!

Rooms are just okay, clearly remodeled cheaply and loud from the airport. Hot tub was dirty with cloudy water and dirt gathering around the sides while the jets ran, pool was freezing. Called down to ask when breakfast was and was told 9:30. Got down to start serving ourselves just to be told we had to throw away our food because we didn't have breakfast vouchers. Tell your guests breakfast isn't free in advance, it's a bad look on you all.

Booked as we were traveling through with kids. It was advertised as a 1 bedroom, which is what I thought I paid for. Got in the room and the door used to separate rooms to make the "1 bedroom" was gone. Latches still on. No door, no 1 bedroom. Room could have been cleaner, fridge had some gross substance along with hair on it. Pool was small, hot tub even smaller. The limit was 5 people in hottub and a family had about 6 kids plus 4 adults in there. Didn't get to use it since they sat in it the entire time while they ate their food near the pool 'it said no food allowed' hmm. When I first booked I noticed the 10.00 per person breakfast. I assumed the 10.00 was for breakfast in the attached restaurant. I went to load the car in the morning and smelled breakfast nearby, thinking maybe I was wrong and there was continental breakfast separate from the 10.00 breakfast fee in the restaurant. I went in the conference room nearby where they had breakfast and asked a lady that I didn't know they provided breakfast, and if there was a phone nearby to call my family upstairs in the room. She said no. I left and came back and when I went to see what options they had because it looked pretty basic so maybe I'd grab cereal or a banana. The bigger lady with dark hair and bangs stopped me rudely after I had just asked about breakfast a second ago, 'DO YOU HAVE A VOUCHER?!' um no I wasn't aware you needed one I was just here and just asked about breakfast 'oh, I'm sorry I didn't know you needed a voucher,' she responds rudely again, 'WELL YOU DIDN'T ASK' wow. 10.00 for cereal and oatmeal should be complimentary. I'll pay 10.00 for the restaurant connected, that would be understandable. But 10.00 for basic stuff other hotels offer complimentary? I'll spend my money better at another location with better amenities.

The rooms are clean beds comfortable. The heater doesn't work very well. We were cold but the blankets are thick and warm so that helped. The biggest thing that we didn't like is that, this place cost alot more than alot of other hotels in the area but comes with no Continental Breakfast Included. We paid over $500 for 2 nights stay and to get the Breakfast in the morning it's $10 a plate, which is ridiculous to us. The towels were ripped up the heater/A/C vents were disgusting. We couldn't use the pool or Hot tub because they were working on the hot tub and left the outside door open to the pool on a 48° day for hours. Over $500 for two nights... just sooooo disappointing!!!!

Good location but crazy busy. Waited in line 15-20 minutes to get registered. Pool was freezing and hot tub had a limit of 5 people in a building that can probably have 300 guests in a night... We literally had to wait in line to get in the hot tub. One table, 5 chairs and zero towels were supplied in the pool room.Maintenance man decided that fixing a broken door in a room the family had been moved out of at 9:30pm with a power drill and lots of banging was the best, nay, the only time to do so even after I asked him to stop bc all the strange, loud sounds were scaring my kids and preventing them from going to bed.Breakfast required a voucher. Thought that was weird but whatever. Found out later, on the bill, it's because they charge you $10 a person even after you've paid $180 for a freaking single night stay. And they don't tell you you'll be charged when you ask for the voucher... WOW. Never staying at a holiday inn again.Rooms: Rooms were smaller than I've seen before, especially the bathrooms. The bathroom door almost hit the toilet going into the bathroom. You better lock that door if you need to pee otherwise if someone else tried to open the door you'd get hit. Trying to even get into the bathroom was like playing one of those little picture games where you have to rearrange the tiles by utilizing the missing space, only this bathroom forgot to have a missing space.

Really enjoyed our little stay here last weekend! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the customer service, from the front desk to the breakfast staff, were lovely! The only things to note:- you have to pay $10 for a breakfast voucher. The offerings aren't great but they're sufficient and, as long as you go into it knowing that you're essentially getting an all-you-can-eat version of McDonald's, you'll be fine.- there *is* an actual restaurant right next to the hotel but it's closed on Sundays, which is...really weird. Of the other two restaurants that are walkable from the hotel, one of them (Avanti's) is *also* closed on Sundays. Again, really weird, considering this is right by the airport. Not the hotel's fault obviously but still worth mentioning!- the hot tub. Oh, the hot tub. I was so excited to be at a hotel with an honest-to-goodness working, hot hot tub (ever since covid began, this seems to be an issue)! I jumped into my swimsuit, headed to the pool room, and hopped right in.......then noticed tiny bits of grey sludge on my arms. I started looking for the source and quickly noticed there was a grey ring all around the hot tub, like it's long overdue for a cleaning. Sssssssssssso gross! So I had to sadly hop back out and return to my room. *sigh* That's the only reason I docked a star from this review. All in all, this was a nice stay for a good price but, if you're a hot tub junkie like me, make sure it's clean before you get in!

Stayed here every year for Thanksgiving for 5 years, and the past two years, the pool is so cloudy you can scarcely see the bottom, and the beds are all sinking in. One of the few hotels that charges for a basic breakfast, and for that price, I thought it would be a good breakfast, but it's the same stuff you get free at any standard chain - mushy potatoes, reconstituted eggs, flat bacon, cereal. Last year they had half our floor selling items out of their rooms for a toy truck convention and we only came back because they said the pool was fixed and the convention wasn't here. At least one of those was true? This is our last year.

This hotel is awful!DO NOT STAY HEREBY FAR the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in, and I travel ALOT.Firstly.. Deana, the front desk lady is sooo rude and really needs to work on how she speaks to people.2. The breakfast is definitely not worth $10.. THEN they have the audacity to walk around and interrupt me while I’m eating to ask me if I put in my voucher paper for it in the basket..I promise you nobody wants to steal your terrible excuse for a “breakfast”3. The water makes you feel like a fish out of water you’re so damn dry. Fix your water filtration system with all the money you rake in from your breakfast scam.4. Their “concession stand” consists literally nothing lol. Except contact lens cases, THANK HEAVENS FOR THAT 🤣5. They have no way to get water unless you pay for it6. Hair all over the room7. No trash bags in the trash?8. The wifi is literally so bad you can hardly use your phone on it..Like, does anyone even care about this place? LmaoThis place DESPERATELY NEEDS new management.Rooms: Tv is from 2002 probably and remote barely works. Hair all over our room. Doors don’t close unless you slam them.

Pros: shower has pressure, room darkining shade was great, bed was comfortable. Cons: the bathroom door was so big it made it tight in the bathroom. The picture above the bed was falling down. Tried telling the front desk when checking out but felt like my concerns were dismissed. There were a few dirty spots in the room including a greasy hand print on the picture above the bed.

Stayed here one night before a flight out of the Central Illinois Airport the next day. I did not have a car so I took the hotel shuttle to the airport. They ask for 24 hours advance notice and then call them 1/2 hr before. The employee who took me to the airport couldn't have been nicer. I'm sorry I don't remember his name. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They offer room service which I didn't realize until I got there. Baxters Grille provides the room service and they were so nice. I only got a dessert brought for room service but it was delicious. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely want to stay at this hotel. All the employees were friendly and helpful.

I staying in Bloomington for a conference at the University. I couldn’t be happier with the service, breakfast, and staff. Morgan, a wonderful young lady that runs the evening shift always had a smile on her face. She made fresh coffee for me as well as popped a fresh batch of popcorn 🍿.The rates were lower than near the university, and the rooms were impeccably clean.Housekeeping attended to myRoom daily and I always walked into a freshly cleaned room. This hotel has a pool, hot tub, and a wonderful lobby to hang with family and friends.Thank you, Holiday Inn and IGH for making my stay excellent!!

I reserved a room for my sister & brother in law who were in town visiting. When I saw my sister the morning after they had checked in, she said "DO NOT EVER book us a room there again!" I faxed all the payment information early, as the email I had received stated. When they arrived to check in, the man at the counter was VERY rude! Said that Holiday Inn is not owned by Holiday Inn and they never received the fax. He then insisted on getting my sister's credit card information. In the morning, they went down for breakfast. I paid extra to ensure they would get breakfast. They were told that they needed a voucher. The man at the counter that checked them in, who, by the way, works for corporate, said nothing about a voucher! They were then told by the morning staff that they would "allow" them to have breakfast but "You are taking money out of our pocket"! Breakfast was minimal! Water and coffee were the only drinks included. If you wanted cereal, you had to pay extra for milk!! When they checked out, the woman behind the counter did not say one single word to them! No "Good Morning", No "Thank you"! She did not ask them if they enjoyed their stay. NOTHING!!I paid way too much for this room for the staff to be so rude! Next time, I will book a room at the Country Inn and pay less!!

The man who works at the front desk around 1pm was incredibly rude. We called at 6 am IL time from a different time zone and asked for early check in. We were told we could check in early at 1pm instead of normal check in time at 4pm. We were in town for an event that started at 3 so we were really hoping to check in early so we could be at the event before it started. We drove 5 hours to arrive promptly at 1pm for our early check in only for him to be incredibly rude and say that we could not check in and that our room was not ready. When we had called that morning the lady we spoke to said she put a note on our reservation for early check in and we had gotten the only room that would be available for early check in that day. When we mentioned that, he had a horrible attitude and kept telling us that check in was at 4pm, which we knew but we were granted early check in that morning on the phone. We never got an apology for the mistake on their part or even a kind attitude to try and fix the problem. We were not able to get a room until 2 pm, thankfully it was still before our event. But as we were checking into our room another couple that was staying there had the same issue and had been sitting there for an hour waiting for a room they had also been promised for early check in. We stayed three nights and he was never pleasant to talk to, he probably shouldn’t be working in customer service with his attitude. I don’t feel good about spending so much money on a reservation just to have rude workers make my experience bad.

No trouble getting checked in; the girl at the front desk was friendly, and that's why I'm giving them 2 stars. The floor of the room looked like they hadn't vacuumed in quite a while. The sheets were dirty and had hair on them. I went down to the front desk to get a clean set of sheets and was given a set too small for the bed. The only breakfast is what you pay extra for and the "complimentary" coffee is cold so no telling how long it sat out. For what it cost to stay here it could have been cleaner and provided more complimentary services.

They charged us $10 per night each for breakfast and it was a joke. When asked to just credit us and we would skip it, we were told the food "is provided by someone else so we cant". It was sime toast cereal and some packaged pastries. The coffee was terrible. The hotel should have given it free w the room. The room was ok but dusty. Very roomy. They do NOT clean so beware if you don't ask for a daily towel exchange at check in, you won't get any! They don't even empty the trash and we couldn't because the cans had no bags. 3 days is a lot for a tiny trash can.

We had to stay here due to plumbing issues, it was one of the few hotels where they had a room that would hold 6 people. Hotel staff were friendly and rooms were clean but many things in the room, bathroom and shower needed maintenance. Loose faucet handle, fabric torn on the chair, and broken furniture. If they would invest a little into repairing and replacing worn out items this could easily be 5 stars.

It’s a very interesting experience at Holiday Inn. I mean the room is nice and clean. Everything in the room looks new and neat. But our key didn’t work multiple times during our 2 days stay. When we got back from a wedding at midnight. There were a family with kids waiting at the lobby because no one helped them to check in. They had been waiting at front desk for 45 minutes! Finally they found the staff was sleeping in the back room after almost 1 hour waiting! It’s crazy to see that. And also, when we tried to open the door that night, one of our cards didn’t work, we almost needed to wait as well for staff’s help. I feel no one is really working at the hotel…..

Wish I could put fewer stars. I booked weeks in advanced. Arrived at 11pm at night and they didn't have any rooms available because the cleaning staff never showed up that day. There were about 8 people in the lobby who weren't able to get their rooms (all pre-booked). Honestly the front staff did a good job given the circumstances and after a couple hours shipped us to another hotel. However, the Holiday Inn promised to pay for the other hotel's room and that still isn't resolved. The front staff probably tried calling the manager 50 times over the course of a couple hours and the manager just didn't respond. Left the front staff completely out to dry. Finally, they gave a couple people rooms by spot cleaning dirty rooms (cleaning done by front staff), which gives me zero confidence of their cleanliness. Will never book here again.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is very nice and works hard. This review is not due to their services. The hotel is very under staffed which causes many issues. The hotel owner is very cheap and only worried about making money and not servicing the customer. The hotel shut their phones off so we couldn't talk to the front desk with any questions. Because the front desk was under staffed. Rooms weren't ready. Garbage over flowing in front of the hotel and in the hallway garbages. Lobby bathroom had no soap or paper towels when I went to wash my hands after going to the bathroom.Owner is too cheap to buy Kleenex, there is none in most of the rooms. The night before we got there, our friend who was staying there had to work the front desk. There was zero hotel staff on site at the hotel. This big hotel did not have 1 person working there on the night and overnight shift!!! She was a hotel guest staying there and saw families trying to check in. So stepped up to help people get their kids rooms so they had somewhere to sleep. That same friend had to wait 2 hours in line at the front desk to check in the night beforeMy brothers room was filthy when he checked in. His room keys also stopped working multiple times, having him to go to the front desk, wait in line to get another set of keys. Only for them to not work again. The drapes in my room were broken.

My husband had to call and make a reservation. When he got there they couldn’t find his reservation. He never got a confirmation # . He stayed 2 night. They charged him 5 nights. Never emailed a receipt said they would. Called to get the charges fixed said they could find his reservation and would not fix the charges. We are 6 hours away and can’t just run up there to fix it. We called IHG and said they would have to talk to the hotel. Definitely don’t recommend staying here. The front desk staff wasn’t very nice.

When I say do NOT book this place. From the service, to the rooms to everything. The rooms were clean but the floors were super hard, bruised up equipment in the room, smedium tvs. But that’s not the worst part. THE SERVICE was terrible. No greetings from front desk, bad attitudes. We came down for breakfast at 8:55 as it was included with our room, breakfast was over at 9:30. All the food was old, no eggs left, and we asked about it and they said they close in 30 minutes so they aren’t making more food… Then proceeded to tell us that we could not grab any drinks (apple juice and orange juice). He said “they weren’t free”… It is INCLUDED IN OUR STAY. We had VOUCHERS. We told him we had vouchers and he said “aw i didn’t see it”.. He didn’t even LOOK or ASK. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE experience.
