Update related to December 2022 incident (changing review from 5 to 2).I go here at least once a month, most of the time more often (if we're in town). I have got holiday special bread loaves, muffins, brownies,...for my family and for friends, or neighbors. Most of the time (except for 1 instance when I ordered a sandwich and it took forever), my experience has been smooth and pleasant. In mid-December, I was witness to what I could say seemed like a clear and blunt elderly abuse. A senior citizen walked in and asked the samples, the lady said we don't have any today and asked "how can I help you?!" in a not so friendly manner. The senior lady very innocently with gentle voice said I came to check out the samples (which I and my daughter used to do many years ago, stopping after her Tennis lessons), the staff member continued to raise her voice, repeating the same statement but louder and more aggressively. The same lady was nice toward me, I felt awful for the senior lady, and went home. I thought about sharing the episode on social media because the level of elderly abuse was too much weight and I had felt awful that I didn't speak out at the moment. Just today I went there again, I was treated nicely, and I felt awful for going in again after witnessing the double-standard. Again I have to say all other staff are nice and my experiences have always been pleasant. But there's something to say about a business that doesn't sacrifice a slice of bread to honor dignity of an innocent older citizen. I have serious doubts about going back.Get a sourdough loaf !!! It's a recent addition. We enjoy honey whole wheat, Dakota, brownies, apple crumble slices, and a lot more! Add your phone number to get points.

Such a lovely array of baked goods! You can stop in and try a slice. They have delicious, cheap coffee. The place smells divine and there's a little something for everyone. Worth the trip every time.

It’s difficult for me to get to the store as often as I would like but I love stopping at their booth at the Farmer’s Market. The rose pistachio bread was so beautiful I had to try it! Delicious! Chocolate Babka was also amazing. Both are now competing with the cinnamon bread for family favorite. The staff at the booth are also friendly and patient with questions.

Been going to Great Harvest Bread for over ten years. Some of our favorites are scones, cinnamon muffins, cinnamon crunch bread, and that chocolate bread. If you're not sure what you may like all you have to do is ask the staff and they will guide you based on your likes and what you'll be serving it with. You will always be greeted like you're visiting a friend's kitchen.

Not certain what has happened to Great Harvest but the store has changed considerably...and not for the better. I received a $5 coupon in the mail. I realize that's not much but in this time of high inflation $5 can make a difference in a budget. I enjoy Great Harvest breads for breakfast so the $5 was a real pleaser for me. I contracted Covid from a patient and was extremely ill for approximately 3 weeks. As a result, the coupon expired. I went to the store once I was able to get out and about and asked if I could use the coupon. Nope. That was it: Nope. I left...without any bread. I was both furious and greatly saddened. It wasn't my fault I had been sick for so long. It wasn't my fault I was unable to use the coupon prior to its expiration date. The judgment of the Great Harvest employee was really harsh; Unnecessarily so in my opinion. Honestly, it was hateful. My family and I have been doing business with Great Harvest since it opened. No more. I can easily go to HyVee or any other store with relative ease. If you read some of the other reviews it's fairly evident that Great Harvest has a few employees who simply don't give a hoot about anyone. Perhaps it's time to get some better quality workers. In the mean time I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Had the chocolate chip pumpkin bars for the first time - OMG. Awesome! The chocolate was a nice surprise, the pumpkin made everything so moist and the icing was killer! You need to put a warning label on these they're so addictive!

Friendly and relatable staff. Any place that offers fresh baked goods from savory to sweet for you and your furry friends is worth checking out.The baked goods: You’ll want to try it all if you can, and the prices are great. There’re gluten free options that vary weekdays, different specials of bread, muffins, cookies and more.They’ve got coffee, too! Multiple flavors, reasonably priced and gives you a reason to poke around and see the jams, batters, doughs and apparel.All and all a fun spot to check out. It feels homely to go into. Not a sitting place but absolutely a welcoming one. Be sure to grab a punch card to earn a free loaf of bread!

Love the fresh made bread! Friendly staff and great customer services. Cannot stop going to their store every week. The free sample give you chance to taste all their products and let you select the best you want. Highly recommend them for your party or send it as gift to your family and friends. They will LOVE you!

I can't say enough about this place. I have always loved their bread, but recently discovered their lunch sandwiches. Let me tell you it was a gamechanger !! Fresh bread, tasty ingredients and AMAZING, FRIENDLY SERVICE !!!

Great products! Sweet and savory alike. I used to show up right when the spinach pockets were cooling to get a fresh one at least once a week. I kept the bread schedule on my fridge so that I knew which days to pick up a babka. One of the places I miss most from my graduate school days in Normal.

Amazing bread and sweets, welcoming ambience and fantastic service. Always get a free sample, even if it's for a neighbor! They have dog treats and excellent gluten free and egg free options, too.

I enjoy walking into this store, smelling the fresh bread, and being greeted with "What can I slice for you?"! The sample slice is sizeable-not a sliver.Every employee I interact with is alway friendly. I've been a customer since they opened and have NEVER been disappointed in anything I sampled and purchased. My coworkers love it when I bring the chocolate babka to the office, and the gluten-free breads are delicious.

Recently under new management. Good service as before, most of the old items are still on the menu, but the rotation of items is now different. The chocolate bread and potato chive bread are all-time favs, with the seasonal babka being delicious!

Fantastic find! Veggie Baja sandwich was amazing!! Sampled a new very tasty Gouda bread that I had to bring home. Service was stellar, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Every time I go to get what they are supposed to have for that day its out if stock. This is the 3rd time and I've been there's 8 or 9 times. Its only 2pm and they are out of thier pumpkin roll! Getting sick of settling for cinnamon crunch or potato and chive which other than wheat and white is all they ever seem to have!

I have been going to this place since 3 yrs. They bake phenomenal bread. You can try it before buying. My favorite bread is "Dakota" and "oatmeal flax". You can ask for calorie chart if you want. I

Enjoy their breads and dinner rolls occasionally --especially the cinnamon chip bread. Have given their cookie mix as gifts but not made any for myself yet.
