What a surprise to find this place! Visited the town for the day a group of 15 people. I always rather explore and support a local. Not to mention one that roasts their own coffee. They had a good selection of the last for a pour-over. The barista was very nice - we chatted and discussed their method, the beans etc. Tried some of the bakery items too.Great service, charming art ambience, clean and cute restrooms. And most importantly of course - coffee!

I only stopped by here to grab a coffee-to-go for my drive back to STL, and I swear, this coffee shop is a vibe. Upon entering the coffee shop, I was in awe of how they decorated the interior of this place. I was impressed. The whole shop has an inviting vibe and a modern twist. I ordered my basic iced caramel latte and a pastry. Both were delicious! I would return to this coffee shop if I ever take another road trip that passes by this town soon.

I am traveling from Wisconsin to St Louis, MO With my boyfriend and it's my thing to try out coffee shops in New areas. After we woke up I did research and found Coffee Hound, and we decided to give it a try....Their interior is artsy and modern, and there's a lot of spacing to sit and enjoy a pastry /coffee.I got my coffee to go, and I ordered a Caramel iced latte, my boyfriend got their House Latte also iced. Both were DELICIOUS. 10/10a Very smooth latte

This is always the busiest Coffee Hound in town. If you get in before the rush, (8AM) you will avoid a line, but on the weekends, the line is usually a good 10 minute wait. So be prepared for that! They also usually don't offer order ahead during these times because they are just too busy. The drinks are always consistent. I'm currently on the Honeybee Latte train lately which is honey and lavender. Try the milk substitutes if you're open to it! Oat milk is my go-to and adds a more creamy texture to your dink.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Bloomington-Normal. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, and received one with lovely milk art and a glass of Topo Chico. Very fun!Dietary restrictions: Oat milk and macadamia nut milk are available

Stopped by on our route to Chicago for an iced matcha latte & a bite to eat. The decor is super cute and I enjoyed looking at the art while I waited. About 10-12 people were in line ahead of me when I arrived but the line moved pretty quickly so it was only a 10min wait to order and another 4-5min to receive my order.I was going to try the avocado toast but the I saw it being made while waiting in line— eggs (hard boiled), avocado smashed up, and bacon were on the counter in plastic bins (possibly on ice? I couldn’t see exactly) and the toast was assembled on the counter. Didn’t look too appealing to me so opted to just stick to the matcha. I asked for the ice in a separate cup so my matcha didn’t get watered down while I ate breakfast (elsewhere) and they happily obliged. The matcha latte was delicious! Nice and cold even w/o the ice. And just as good once I dumped the ice inside.I stopped by one of the gender neutral bathrooms while waiting for my order and it was very clean, decorated well, but not well stocked. I used up the last tiny bit of toilet paper (literally 4 squares) that were left. Thankfully I had some options in my bag.

Friendly baristas who consistently pour a cup of the best coffee in town. The atmosphere is laid back and perfect for meeting with friends or handling business. The avocado toast is one of my favorites I've ever tried. I love the brewed coffee (black), the cold brew is delicious, the pour-overs are phenomenal, and I also love a hot mocha... either Mexican mocha or peppermint. My teens and husband also love a variety of choices. The teas and the mango smoothies are their top choices

The Coffee Hound, a haven for those in search of the essence of life, brewed and presented in a cup.The staff, they're more than just servers, they're masters of their craft. Their passion for coffee and for service is evident in their eyes, in their smiles, in the careful precision with which they brew each cup. They are not merely workers, but artists, their canvas the ceramic of your coffee cup, their paint the liquid gold they pour into it.It’s a dance, and they are the dancers, the coffee - their music. The atmosphere, it's not just the ambience, but the soul of the place. The walls whisper stories of people who've sat and shared their lives over a cup of coffee. The soft hum of quiet conversation, the comforting background noise of the grinding beans, the smell of the roast - it's a symphony for the senses. The air holds a sense of warmth, a sense of community, a sense of belonging. It's not just a coffee shop, it's a place where hearts meet, where minds find solace, where souls find respite. 🙏🏻

I had both of the single origin pour overs that were being offered, as well as a cranberry scone. My companion had a traditional cappuccino. Everything was fantastic: I can tell that they're dialing in their coffees and espresso in the morning to ensure they taste as good as they possibly can, and the scone was fresh, possibly made in house, or from some local bakery. I can't get over how Bloomington seems (on the surface) to be a small, somewhat sleepy city, but still manages to have one of the best coffee shops I've ever visited. If I ever end up in town again, I know where to get coffee!

I ordered a peach danish and apple cider with caramel. It was way to sweet but I ordered it so 🤷🏽♀️ but the staff was friendly, the seating area was open, comfortable, and full of natural light plus the art on the wall was interesting. It’s a nice place.

A wonderful new selection of tea Coffee Hound, all 3 locations in Bloomington Normal, are great. The Baristas are all highly trained, and their espresso drinks reflect this. You can get a wonderful variety of espresso drinks, their own roasted coffee and Specialty coffees in collaboration with White Oak Brewery, Nitro, a wonderful new selection of Teas, a wonderful red tiger chai and smoothies and much more. They have a great selection of In-House made pastries. They also have in house made bread for toast, and a delicious avocado toast. My favorite is their house latte, which is a miel, honey and cinnamon.

Nice, local spot. Great coffee, very friendly people. Located in downtown Bloomington has many locals stoping by, meeting for a cup of coffee and pastry. You know it is good when there is many locals visiting this spot regularly :)

Love this place, but prices have gone up twice this year, and it's still February. It's not a nationwide chain, so why such a jump in prices. Will be trying other places now.

Favorite coffee place in town. I don't love sweet drinks, and all of their dairy-substitute lattes are fantastic - awesome flavor without the sweetness some of the other coffee shops have (you can add syrup if you want sweet!) Amazing pastries and sweets (catch the chocolate chip cookies if you can!) and a great place to hang out for a morning off of work.

We chose this coffee shop because it had good reviews on Google maps. I normally do not leave negative reviews, but every component of the coffee that they made was made badly - it was worse than Starbucks. I tried to order a coffee with half & half and a Cubano shot. They didn't pull Cubano shots and they didn't have any half & half. If the coffee we ordered had been good, I would have left a 5 star review - I really like to give credit where credit is due. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. Thankfully we were traveling through and we will never have to stop here for coffee again.
