Love Tony's... nothing much more to say. I drive there despite other big chain grocery stores being closer. Also, 6am shopping is the best, no crowds, no wait, just straight in and out. They never disappoint.

Tony's is reasonably priced but the primary reason I go there is for their produce section. It's huge. They have a decent selection of "ethnic" foods but you can, of course, find a better selection at an Asian or Indian market. My only complaint is that the checkout lines are always long which causes congestion at the front of the store near the freezer section.

On my second visit to Tony's for grocery shopping, I found their products and prices to be quite disappointing. The vegetables and fruits' quality didn't measure up to other stores, lacking freshness. Moreover, their prices were notably higher compared to other grocery options.

I recently took my elderly neighbor to Tony's in Berwyn, which is where she purchased some Kemp's 2% milk on March 8th. The milk's expiration date was March 19th, and when she went to use it in her coffee on March 13th, it had already gone bad. She took the empty container, along with her receipt to customer service and only expected a refund for the remaining 1/4 amount that had gone bad. The assistant manager said they could not give my neighbor a refund because she did not leave the sour milk in the container. So I said to the assistant manager, "Just so I can tell my neighbor your policy, if an issue like this happens again, she should leave the product in the container?" and the assistant manager confirmed. When I spoke with the store manager, Marco, he said they do not give refunds on dairy products because they don't know how the product is handled by the customer once it leaves the store, and even if the spoiled product was brought back, they still would not provide a refund. I told the manager that my neighbor puts her milk away as soon as she uses it and doesn't leave it out to which the manager responded, "Well we don't know that". Although my neighbor is on a fixed income, it's not so much about the refund; it's about the principle and taking accountability. The manager said the store is not responsible and we could call Kemp's directly for a resolution. He was not the least bit helpful and was willing to lose a customer for less than one dollar. I would caution anyone about purchasing dairy products from this store as they don't stand behind their products. I've never seen such poor customer service from any store I've ever shopped at. I think Tony's has gotten too big and has forgotten that it's the customers who got them to where they're at today.

Many International Food products! The prices here are reasonable. Always have to wait in a long line. They have such a large selection, but it's hard to find stuff. I never found the hot dogs. I was misdirected by staff so I bought mine at Jewel. Last trip I used the curbside pickup. Some items were not available. One of my cans was dented and the tomatoes were subpar. No one would pick these tomatoes for themself. Tony's has a great prepared food section, a big Deli, a very nice Bakery. So, pluses and minuses!

Overall, this store is ok. It's usually pretty well stocked. However, there are 2 major issues worth noting. #1 The butchers are rude. There are usually more than 2, and they tend to ignore customers until they see fit. #2 even if you go through a checkout line with a cashier, you end up bagging most of the stuff yourself. And if you're not done bagging by the time they're done scanning your stuff, they start on the next person.

Customer service was not good for self checkout. The person that was supposed to help if you needed it she can and snatched the food from me and started rescaning my food and throwing it. So my daughter and I walked out the store and left her throwing my food. Will not return

They make sure there is always plenty of Modelo but never any Ice House Extra. They make you buy two of certain sale items when all you want is one. The store is very clean and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable.

Shopping here for years and their ads are misleading all of the time. Either it does not ring up as advertised or the pricing is actually marked up just to have a “sale” and you are actually paying more than the original price. I have to literally take pictures of their own prices at the shelves just to ensure I get the right price when I ring out. This doesn’t happen one or twice but all the time. Check your prices, check your receipts. I’m aware there are coupons this is not in reference to any coupon or coupon clips.

DO NOT USE A DEBIT CARD HERE IF YOU ARE GETTING CASH BACK!! I just go $50 Cas back. I was declined at first. My bank is saying I got 50 twice. I did not. I went in to customer service where Victor was not helpful at all. He did call Julio the manager but he never came. Victor did tell me that this often happens when debit or credit is used and if the money is not back in my account in a few days to come back. This is ridiculous. And for the manager, Julio, to be called 4 or 5 times and never respond is messed up. If I could give 0 stars I would. And I want my dang $50 back.

You can always find a great deal at Tony's, I bought some great fruit (watermelons) and vegtable(greenpeppers,sqash).Employees are super helpful and knowledgable.one of my favorite grocery stores.

Veggie and meat departments are AWESOME. Make sure you read the sales tag. Some items you'll have to buy 5 to get the sale prices. Who the heck needs 5 packs of Jello?????

Like that it is located around other stores and it is a big Grocery Store. Also, the buffet is freshly made daily from Salads to Hot foods. Oh! and the Arroz con Gandules already made it is really good too.

I hate to do this, but on 1/27 I spent $8 for bbq chicken meal that said "packed 1/27." Maybe it was "packed" on 1/27 but it tastes like it was cooked and reheated days ago. It tastes like rubber with bbq sauce on it. If you want to make an urgent visit to your dentist, this could be your meal. I bought precut melon, and it was disgusting. It was mushy and was starting to turn. Same thing with some "freshly made" juices. Too pi$$ed and tired to drive back. This has happened tooooo many times, so I had to pen this. Too many times. This is so disrespectful to people who spend their hard-earned money. If you reach into my wallet and lift the $100 wasted, at least that would be more transparent. Outside the "fresh" "hot" "prepacked" foods, the rest of the store is actually fine.

I ordered A fruit tray for a funeral last minute order and Tony's took care of it immediately. My tray was ready in half an hour and they did an excellent job. I'm giving 2 stars only because they carry some things that are hard to find, but that's a gift. ALDI is going to put this chain out of business if they don't figure their problems out. What I mean is that they charge high prices for mediocre or even low quality food. If I want to be charged high prices, I shop at Whole Foods or Pete's. At least the food tastes better. ALDI has better quality and much better prices for all the basic stuff and some specialty stuff too. And the produce from ALDI tastes better and lasts longer than what I get at Tony's. At Tony's I pay too high a price to pick through all the food myself to make sure it's not rotten. I could go to the food bank if I wanted to do that.

I enjoy the selection at Tony's. The only thing I recommend is to stay away from everything with the TONY'S brand as they use the lowest quality ingredients in their products. Their "AGUA FRESCAS" are full of preservatives and artificial colors, their deli meats have a strange texture which I believe are the fillers they use, they try to deceive their customers with their cooking oils. They put the name AVOCADO OIL or OLIVE OIL in big bold letters and the added inferior oils in small letters underneath. They might call it smart marketing I call it being deceitful. I know many other companies use these deceitful tactics. The owner claims to sell fresh, QUALITY products and I don't deny that they do, just not under their branded products.

Tonys is my go to for groceries in the area. Since it moved to the new location in cermak plaza, it has been much easier than the original location in riverside. Some pros, the fruit and vegetables can be very fresh with lots of options. The hot bar right inside the entrance has a lot of options. The international section and Hispanic goods are great. Many options for all your pantry needs. Cons, I wouldn’t eat the meat here. Especially not the stuff that comes from the butcher. Quality is poor and often times the meat section stinks of rotten meat. I avoid it all. Especially since it is mostly “government inspected”. Another note about meat departments, “marinated meat” and sausages made in shop can be a place where butchers can hide the expiring or about to expire meats. Con about the produce section, you really have to inspect the produce especially the berries. There are almost always moldy berries in the containers. A lot the stone fruits like peaches never ripen well and end up dry or moldy before you can eat them. The broccoli pile always seems to have moldy or bad Broccoli. Some of the produce that gets sprayed with water for freshness becomes a soggy mess, especially the green onions.I order meat online that is frozen and is better quality. Butcher box or wild forks foods in oak park is reasonably priced and far better quality. I save buying certain items like cereal or paper towels, toilet paper elsewhere as it’s usually over priced comparatively.Service is fine. Usually there are a lot of cashiers but I opt to do self checkout. The baggers at Tony’s put like 1-3 items in each plastic bag which is a waste. But then again, they recently changed over to less sturdy plastic bags. I do fine on my own at self checkout.

Try to get meat at the meat department and around 8:25pm and they told my the machine was being clean right after a customer got the same meat I wanted. Terrible service!!

I came here last night because we needed some groceries. While the inside of the store was ok, myFamily and others couldn't help but notice a horrible smell as you are walking Inside the store like urine. There was 2 homeless people outside and one inside right by the entrance.

Tony's fresh market is forcing the customers to buy in quantity, every sales that they have, is about buying 3,4,5 even 10 items for us to be able to save, if I want to buy in large quantities I go to Costco or SamClub, the reason that we the customer choose to shop on Tony's is because we want to buy what we need and not be forced to buy by quantity, I missed every sales that they have because if I need 1 whole chicken when they put it on sales they put 2,3 and sometimes even 4 chicken inside a plastic bag forcing you to buy that many chicken instead of allowing the customer to choose the quantity that they really need to buy, I'm a single person, I only need 1 chicken why are you forcing me to buy more than 1 to enjoy your sales items

I had brought some fruit and everything was rotten. I was so mad because this was my first time getting grocery from them . I usually go to Pete’s and will do so from now on. I’ll never shop here ever again and I had wasted so much money on rotten fruit
