The owner was great, very helpful too. Nice store with a little of everything - essentials and home decor and craft items. His daughter creates the craft work displayed. We bought a really unique light fixture to hang outside the RV. Also bought bread, paper plates, beer and firewood. He said to poke our heads into the office. Sure enough, there was the big black dog! Very docile.

By far one of the BEST Southern Illinois home town stores around! Absolutely love stopping in to shop or even for a visit. The owners are the friendliest and Zeus their Big Black Dog is the best!!! He greets us at the door! I truly enjoy every visit to Black Dog!Store is fully stocked with RV/camping essentials plus SO much more!!! Best place to store your boat or camper. I’ve been storing my camper here for 2 years, not one problem. The store has all of the camping necessities and then some. Owned by wonderful people and ran by the best black dog ever, Zeus!!

The tandem kayaks are not worth renting they have a drain on the back seat that gets you completely soaking wet as soon as you get on the water and the back seats don't support you enough it throws out your back, it hurt my ribs and shoulder.--->> The people get a five star review but not the tandem kayak. <<---I recommend getting the single kayaks and make sure there's no drain underneath your seat.

We loved this store! We came for a kayak rental on Aug 1st and my husband and I had a blast We also got to check out the store and met the name sake of the store and he was such a sweet doggy. The workers were very nice and helpful We 100% will be coming back sometime

We rented kayaks for an afternoon on the lake. Making a reservation was so easy. They delivered our kayaks to the launch point and gave us great ideas on where to explore. I love their attention to safety.Definitely recommend this place for renting a kayak.

This place has a little bit of everything. Incredible selection of grocery items, alcohol, home/camper decor, fishing and hunting supplies, camper and kayak rentals, storage rentals and the best part of the visit is puppy love from Zeus and Otis.

Dont let the looks from the outside fool you! The very kind owner met us in the lot and filled our camper propane tank for us. The clean inviting shop has lots of country store type items including bread kits and wine tumblers and hand made decor. Many other odds and ends for RVers or boaters. Will be regulars here!
