I used to have issues with this Dollar Tree but recently, ever since they got new staff, it has been one of my favorite locations. Yolanda the manager is phenomenal and does everything she can to help her customers. A+. If you're looking for a Dollar Tree and have the option to go to this one, go to this one.

Anybody looking to work here at this Bensenville location- REFRAIN from doing so!!! Qunty manager micromanages not only her employees but assistant managers. Store manager has a tendency to fire new hires for ANY little problem. Biggest red flag? She only has about 10 employees working there because 1: obviously always fires 2: is a perfectionist when it comes to her employees performances. There's no 3 strikes for a job here, 1 strike and you're immediately out! Also, she OVERWORKS employees... not giving them reasonable shifts , they are all about 8 -9 hours EVERY shift. No work- life balance, no part time, flexibility, time management, etc. She also constantly changes the schedule unexpectedly and has no empathy whatsoever. Worst part- she ignores former employees on the phone faking that she isn't on the line... WHEN SHE CLEARLY IS. She is the true definition of a NARCISSISTIC, self centered a-hole. Claims she went to college to study 'management' but she obviously failed or needs to go back and retake them. And don't get me started with the assistant managers, they talk behind backs in the office or just stand on their phones and headphones in the backroom.. Even had one customer complain that manager was in a bad mood and told them to find an item theirselves.. Wish I could've kept this short and simple but I'd rather give anyone a heads up and give out all the red flags. Proceed with caution at store #834...

You know before that store was better because that Manager now I don't like... went she have new employees,shes not helping them we it's a lot of clients in the store...I was there one Day...and the new employe was straggling wit Soma's people on line... WOW 😲 I almost Said something to this terrible Manager...you know you have to work in group specially went people don't have to much experience... unbelievable 😣😔

They had a new restock today so I was able to find some cool party related stuff. Though they have their usual merchandise, they also have seasons and specials, so worth coming in every so often to see what's new. Bummer on the price increase.

First time in that store was impressed how clean it was. But the check out line very slow so a backup cashier opened up instead telling the next customer in line to move over to his lane he approached the Hispanic customer 2 customers behind me to get in his lane. In Spanish of course.

They were out of almost everything and only 1 cashier. They use to be a really nice store to do some small item shopping at but no longer.

Horrible place. PLEASE before you hand anyone cash at this location count out all coins as well as dollars before cashiers touch it. The "manager" as she called herself took cash from me then put it in her drawer as I counted change to hand her. When I handed her the change she started saying that I never handed her anything else. I asked her to please review her drawer as I did give her $2 in cash. She then makes an ignorant comment "When my drawer is short at the end of the day I guess that is ok right?". I immediately asked her to call the police because if this was the case I was stealing and the cameras needed to be reviewed. To my surprise another customer back in the line came forward and stated they did the same thing to him a few months back and her attitude was unacceptable. This woman then tells me to take the items and leave. I still asked her to accommodate my request of reviewing her drawer because STEALING is not OK in any situation and if I did NOT hand her any money this needs to be resolved. She again asks me to leave with the items so I leave. I am completely disgusted at the service at this location. I would pick a better place to steal $2 worth of items if that was my intent and I wouldn't have waited in line for 6 minutes JUST TO STEAL SOMETHING. The "manager" needs to go through cash training as she apparently is too comfortable with taking money without realizing what she is doing.

Yolanda and Selena terrible managers they arent a good example of good customer service they show there employees how to be lazy no encouragement at all to provide fast and friendly service. They always have one person in the front for check out no matter the line. The kid in the front called for backup and nothing was done no urgency. Again Another associate is just sitting in the back Room chatting away while theres A-line in the store I ask the associate male in front to have someone else come up because every time anyone comes in here to get 1 or 2 things there's a huge line and no coverage at check out none of the stuff are ever stocked the store is like half empty and they just opened they have terrible customer service they have no urgency he asked for help and then the other girl just laughed and went in the Room to start talking some more while there's customers waiting in line this place should be completely closed I don't know why they open a new location across makes no sense I mean people are literally getting paid to sit on their a** and to talk about personal things

The owner of this store should have his business license revoked for selling defective and food that has been kept in unsanitary conditions. Avoid at all costs, just like the next door Jewel

The line was extremely long.. then finally the cashier called for backup and everybody started running to the next to cashiers. I think the cashier should have called for backup after her line was at least four people. I did not see the manager who is usually there. Because if I had it would have been so crazy.

Dollar Tree is my go-to stop for essentials and knick knacks I'm not going to pay out the rear for. Anything from plastic wrap to loaf pans to the surprise organic food item to cat litter to get well soon cards to tableware. Party items are abundant and offered at a hefty discount over party supply stores. All items are $1 or less + TAX. I've seen people bicker over the tax. This store is conveniently located and well stocked with increasingly diverse products. I have no complaints about the staff or the condition of the store.The customers on the other hand...If you ever want to die of laughter, eavesdrop on customer questions to the staff. I've genuinely never seen a particular business attract so many patrons with limited intellectual bandwidth such as Dollar Tree. This phenomenon isn't limited to this location. That green DOLLAR TREE sign is like a moth light for stupid people. They line up in front of the store in the morning like zombies, pounding on the glass and playing lingual gymnastics with staff to persuade them to open however many minutes early then resort to petty insults when the staff inform them the computer system doesn't allow sales prior to opening time. This makes for a pretty entertaining scene as I'm sipping coffee in my truck waiting for the place to open.Every 5th person attempts to force the carts through the main door even though they are obviously constructed to not fit through the door to thwart theft. Anyone who takes a quick glance at the cart then the door should draft a similar conclusion - the skills required are akin to figuring out the square peg toy goes into the square hole. This, too, is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. They always jerk their accusing glance at the cashier as if they had deliberately staged the embarrasing scene specifically for that patron. Then they grumble something unintelligible about how they're supposed to get their 4 bags of werthers and two solar dancing flowers to their cars without a cart. You will sarcastically solve their fake problems in your head. Loads of fun.One day I overheard a 50 something suit type ask a teenager working if the tire pressure gauge they sell also fills tires. He then got upset with her as if it were her fault when she told him that "No sir, a $1 tire pressure gauge will not fill your tacky white BMW tires for you." Mr. SUIT couldn't possibly spit "hold on" into his Bluetooth fast enough to go off on this poor girl. I guess he and his soul patch needed an emotional punching bag. Why not a shy and pregnant 17 year old just trying to stack cans of beans on a shelf?This is the first time I've EVER felt compelled to write a review due to the patronage. I can't tell you how many times I see people take out their crappy day on the staff here. I don't understand why people think it is okay to belittle people in public who are not only not at fault for anything, but do not have the means to defend themselves at the expense of losing their way of feeding themselves. You people are cowards and basically swine with zero class or shame. Anywhere outside of America you would be ridiculed by every patron in the store. Only here does an 8 dollar an hour paycheck justify a pair of ginger kisses on the buttcheeks with the purchase of every trivial item.There are opened items everywhere and on a number of occasions I've seen people open a package, try the item and casually toss it when it wasn't to their liking. I guess Dollar Stores have different laws that apply to them.Dollar Trees only get to order a portion of the stock that gets sent to their stores. Oftentimes, what's on the truck is on the truck. Period. If they don't have it, try next week. If you've shopped here more than twice, you should comprehend this is how it all works. It isn't difficult to grasp how a store selling everything for $1 operates.Direct orders are a great way to buy in bulk. Order online and get it sent to the store of your choice.When shopping here, be prepared to wait quite a bit in line due to stupid questions.

Has a public restroom but you gotta ask the cashier for the key. Has pretty much everything you might need in a pinch. Even cards and balloons all for a buck. Better bigger one on roosevelt road in villa park.

We went in looking for general party decorations. 80% of what was called party deco was birthday specific. We didn't need it for a birthday. Otherwise, a nice store. Clean. Good location.

It's a large Dollar Tree. Somewhat clean and stocked. WAY too warm though. Poor employees were sweating!
